Banana Peels 
-You get it in- 1'st, 2'nd, 3'rd place*
-Drop behind kart to make kart behind you spin out
-Hold by holding L or X to protect yourself from red shells and green shells
-Throw into path of kart in front of you

Triple Bananas-
All info same as banana peels

Green Shells
-You get it in- 2'nd, 3'rd, 4'th, 5'th place*
-Press fire button to shoot straight ahead 
- Bounces of walls until it hits a kart, goes out of bounds or breaks.
- Can be held by holding L or X
- Can be shot backwards if you get into 1'st while you have it.

Triple Green Shells
Same info as green shells
-Creates a shield

Red Shells
-You get it in- 2'nd, 3'rd, 4'th, 5'th, 6'th place*
-Homes in on nearest kart
-May lose trail and hit wall
-Can be held by holding L or X
-Can be shot behind you, but then loses homing qualities

Triple Red Shells
Same info as red shells
-Creates a shield

Spiny Shell
- You get it in 7'th, 8'th place*
-Homes in on kart in 1'st
-Unavoidable to person in first
-Hurts any other karts in blast radius

Fake item box
-You get it in 1'st, 2'nd place*
-Drop behind you for opponents to crash into and get knocked over
- Can be held by holding X or L
-Can be shot forward

Bob-omb
-You get it in 4'th, 5'th, 6'th place
-Is tossed forward and will eventually blow up
-Blows up sooner if kart hits it
- Can be held by holding L or X
-Can be drooped behind 
-Hurts any kart in blast radius

Mushroom
- You get it in 2'cd, 3'rd, 4'th, 5'th, 6'th place*
- Gives you a boost of speed
-Can cover off road areas without slowing down

Triple Mushrooms
Same info as mushroom

Golden Mushroom
-You get it in 6'th, 7'th, 8'th place*
- Can use boosts as many times before it wears out

Bullet Bill
-You get it in 7'th, 8'th place
-Makes you a bullet bill, self-controlling itself to take best route

Blooper
-You get it in random places
- Sprays ink on players in front of you, making it hard for them to see.

Boo
-You get it in random places
-Makes you invisible, un-touchable and able to cross off road terrain without slowing down
-Steals an enemies weapon for you

Lightning
-You get it in 7'th, 8'th place*
-Makes enemies spin out, drop weapons and shrink

Star
-You get it in 7'th, 8'th place*
-Makes you invincible
-Gives you a speed boost
-Knocks over opponents you run in to
