--COMBOS--

Combos are attained when several small attacks are combined repeatedly hitting
a creature. You can get 4 hits in a single combo. If you use a Spell or Great
attack, the number of hits will be reset to 0.

Hit Types:

Light Attack > Light Attack
Light Attack > Heavy Attack
Light Attack > Light Attack > Light Attack
Light Attack > Light Attack > Heavy Attack
Light Attack > Light Attack > Spell

Death Blow:

Light Attack > Light Attack > Light Attack > Spell

This is a powerful attack, by hitting B+B+B+X (Small Attack x 3+Spell) it
equals a fully charged up spell. I call this a death blow, because if combined
with the right magic spell, (i.e. House) can kill almost any small enemy and
even some bosses!
---------------------------------------

STRATEGIES:
=======================================

Death Blow:
-See Combos-

Infinite Jump (iJump, Also known as Boost, or Dash Attack):

Oh no! You've fallen into water filled with the tortured souls of the dead, and
it begins to quickly zap your precious magic! Nope. Not gonna happen now. Press
together Dash (R Trigger) and Small Attack or Great attack! (A or Y) Jump,
jump, jump your little heart out! This is also an awesome attack to
continuously pound your opponent.
-NOTE: This attack DOES drain your magic power! Be careful not to turn yourself
over! And Staff+Dash and Y= Horizontal Attack.

The Air Up There:

Get comfortable with jumping! There's a lot of jumping in this game, so now
would be the time to get comfy doing it. Practice Jumping and Dashing.

No, You First!:

You can knock your enemies' magic attacks back at them! When an enemy shoots an
attack at you, just time it right, attack, and knock it back, right in their
face.
-NOTE: Some attacks can not be reversed, so...try to avoid 'em in the first
place.

Down Attack With Staff:

Light Attack > Light Attack > Light Attack > Great Attack
Light Attack > Light Attack > Great Attack > Great Attack
---------------------------------------

HOUSES:
=======================================

Rule of House:
Most Demons you encounter will have a house to which they belong. Raikoh
belongs to the house of the spell he has equipped. (i.e. If you have Dragon
Spell equipped you belong to the Soryu house.) Each house has an opposing
house, if your house, opposes the house of the Demon you are fighting your
spell will do 2x damage. (Double Damage for those who are 1337 impaired.) The
Houses are as follows (<>=Opposes):

House of Soryu <> House of Byakko
House of Suzaku <> House of Genbu

The House of "The Void" are demons of which Spells are useless or have little
effect. Time to whip out that blade.

Homeless: Some Demons Have no House.

-NOTE: Suzaku are usually fire demons, Soryu Energy Demons, Byakko general
demons (Skeleton Mages), and Genbu are usually Water/Rock Demons.
---------------------------------------

SPELL ON YOU (Types of spells and what they do!):
=======================================

There are Three Levels of Magic of which you attain, as you progress through
the game, you can Buy, Receive or find them around the Stages. There is a
MAXIMUM of Level 3, Spells cost about 2000-3000 Gold.

Dragon Spell--House of Soryu:

Ahh, This is some good spell. This spell emits 3 dragons. When charged up it
emits one large dragon. If locked on, either type (charged up or not) the
dragons will "chase your enemy to the ends of the earth" and back again!

Phoenix Spell--House of Suzaku:

This spell is hot, hot, hot! It emits 3 Phoenixes that spread out before you!
When Charged, this spell emits one huge Phoenix. This is a linear spell, it
goes in the direction you send it, (In front of you..) so be careful not to
waste the magic!

Chimera Spell--House of Byakko:

This spell is, shockingly medium range. When not charged it opens a fury of
lightning bolts that encircle Raikoh. When Charged, One Bolt, Many kills.

Butterfly Spell--House of Genbu:

This spell is kind of medium-short ranged it unleashes a lot of lil butter
flies! and when charged; Guess What? More butterflies!

WEIGHT
=======================================
Weight affects everything. If you use a light weapon, your small attacks will
be powerful, and your heavy attacks will have less power. If you use a heavy
weapon, your Heavy attacks will be powerful, and your light attacks will be
less powerful. Also with heavy weapons you attack slower, jump lower, run
slower, and dash less a distance. Watch your weight.
---------------------------------------

SAVING THE GAME
=======================================
To save the Game, go to Main Menu > Options > Save. I know it says "Saving Map
Data", but this only means it is saving the condition of the Stage, what things
have/haven't been destroyed/found. If you do not do this, you WILL have to
begin from the beginning (Stage 1).
---------------------------------------

STATUS CHANGES:
=======================================
Silence : Can't use spells for a given amount of time
Flame Red : LF goes down for a given amount of time
Flame Black : Most powerful flame keeps burning until you lose 1 LF usually
Flame Blue : Keeps burning for a short while longer than red flames
Frost : MP goes down for a given amount of time
Jyubaku : (Cursed) ATK, DEF, and Jumping power go down by 1/2

Swords' Great attacks are a powerful blow downwards, be wary using this attack
on destructable platforms that you are on. Staff's Great attacks are a powerful
horizontal blow, and therefore it is not effective to jump above an enemy to
attack him, unless you wish to drop behind him. Weapons like the Indigo Fang
and Fanblade are Hybrids, Indigo Fang acts like a staff when it comes to Great
attacks and iJumps with great attacks and the Fanblade looks like a staff but
acts like a sword.

Sec 3) WALKTHROUGH:
=======================================
~
Stage One - Bamboo Thicket
Objectives - Kill all 8 Talon Raven Yasha
Enemies - Talon Raven Yasha, Mercy Orb Symbol
Goodies - Kill the Flying Mercy Orb Symbol (Flying black and white thingy)
to get a Mercy Orb.

All right. This level is pretty Straight forward. Kill all 8 Flying Demons.
Destroy all Stone Lanterns and bamboo trees to release all trapped human souls,
and get an "A" in destruction.

Other - Killing all the Talon Yasha gives you exactly 240 Gold if you need
some quick cash.
~

~
Stage Two - Forbidden Mansion
Objectives - Purify the Two Huge Staff Raven Yasha Occupying the area
Enemies - Talon Raven Yasha, Flame Raven Yasha, Staff Raven Yasha
Goodies - Purify both Bosses to get Dragon Spell Level One

There are two paths to take. One in front of you, and one to the left. The one
in front is for those who wish to attain a grade "A" in destruction or kick
some ass. Others take left to get to the bosses quicker. In case you haven't
noted, this is basically the demo level modified. For those who go straight,
Destroy the Stone Lanterns in front of you, as well as the demons. Be careful,
if you get caught on fire, you are almost surely to lose a life Orb. Ok, now
proceed to the Mansion. Kill the demons that attack you. You need to destroy
the wood support columns so get to that. Then where you see a wood patch gate
thing. (entrance-like portal that looks like a grid made of wood) destroy them,
and the areas around them. You need to destroy the stairs, and the rails around
the stairwell, and around the top. The Staff Yasha will usually find you, just
run around with him behind you, and destroy anything, and everything. Go
(facing the direction you were when you entered) left and destroy the wall out
there which will contain a soul. There should be another Reaven Yasha if you
haven't already found him or vise versa. Go down into the ravine and destroy
the pots (I'm not sure if they're needed for Grade "A" completion but I do it
anyway. Turn around and knock the poo out of the Staff Raven Yasha. Once you
defeat them both, voila.

~
Stage Three - Mountain gates
Objectives - Destroy the Demon-Spawning Copper Mirrors there
Enemies - Skeleton Mages, Demon Weeds, Armored Skulls
Goodies - Get a 20 hit combo and you attain the Rune Scimitars

First thing to do is go northwest, and there is the first mirror. Many Skeleton
Mages will appear and swarm you...Purify them, and then turn on the Armored
skulls, They're infinite until you destroy the mirror, so don't bother trying
to desrtoy them all before you destroy the mirror. Go right and in an ally some
where (there will be a small white glow in the ally) will be the second mirror.
Destroy it and the armored skulls. One Skeleton Mage might attack you. Turning
point here. Facing the wall at the end of the ally jump up (may need to iJump
(Dash+Small or Great attack), you can either go right or left. Left leads you
to the other mirror, and right leads you to some Demonic Weeds. If you went
right just kill the weeds and go left, if you went left, destroy all the
Skeleton Mages and head in between the house and to the back where the mirror
is and destroy it. Stage Complete.

NOTE: Good for Gold. Some back to this level, and at the first mirror, kill the
Mages, and then the Skulls, but don't destroy the mirror. Kill the skulls until
1/3 of your magic is gone, now break the mirror. Go to the second mirror, do it
until 2/3 of your magic is gone break the mirror. Go to the third mirror, and
kill them until your magic is gone, then destroy the mirror. You can get from
2000-5000 (most i've ever gotten) Gold by doing this.
~

~
Stage Four - Ancient Capital
Objectives - Release (Kill) the High Priest Jyosei
Enemies - High Priest Jyosei, Mercy Orb Symbol, Skeleton Mages, Demon Weeds,
Guardian Lionette
Goodies - In the beginning of the level, in the Well, at the top of the hill
is Chimera Level 1 Spell

Right-O. This is one of my least fave levels. Best way to beat this is as fast
as possible. When you start off Jyosei will scream, and continue to scream
"None Shall Pass!" While launching giant what looks like fire balls at you.
Destroy the house in front of you, and go up the hill, avoiding the fire balls
(dash may come in handy) and getting to the top of the hill get Chimera LvL 1
Spell in the well. Go left, and just ignore the Lionettes and Skeletal Mage,
break through both walls. There should be a Mercy Orb Symbol, Purify it. To the
right should be a house, destroy it and get a Restores LF if need be, and
continue. Heres where it gets Tricky, Tricky. Those fireballs freeze you in
mid-air and allow you to fall a bit, (usually enough to miss the next platform
and thats if they don't hit you...)I suggest, either going as fast as you can
to the first platform on the left, then 2x jump and dash to the platform on the
right (northeast) and then 2x jump+iJump then dash to get to the next platform
and do it again. Or, just iJump till you reach as high as you can go and then
dash over. Go straight for Jyosei, then to the left, his exact left. 2x Jump
and do Great attacks on him. He will repel you, but you are hurting him. if you
need a life orb, behind you, break the wall and drop down. Get the Restore LF
and get back up and keep hitting. 3-5 great attacks should do it. You'll see a
cutscene and stage Complete.
He's the d00d on top of the Little Shrine. Look close and you can see him or
just get close and lock on.

Better for Gold: When you get your level up, and have all 8 mercy orbs, come
back to here, and when you get to the high priest. Kill the mages for as long
as you want. I suggest your about level 20 or so when you do this. The fire
balls won't even hurt. keep killing them and killing them. I've gotten
about...G: 30,000 by killing 416 of the mages. The mages replenish your magic
so you could do this forever. Though it does get annoying them all hitting you
w/ fireballs and Jyosei doing it too.
~

~
Stage Five - Palace of Gold
Objectives - Restore the Essence of Gold by Destroying the Vases
Enemies - Crimson King (He's not really an enemy), Guardian Lionette, Raging
Lionette, Skeleton Mage, Armored Skull
Goodies - Dragon Staff if completed under 3 Minutes, Mystical Beads Hidden
in Room, check below.

When you start, Go in, and to th left and right will be Lionettes, kill them if
you wish. Keep going, you'll come to a main room, go left. Destroy the Vases,
Chests, and boxes that block your path. You can 2x jump and iJump (dash attack)
and destroy the walkway above you, it seems that the pots on the area above
you, are destroyed when the surface on which they lay, are destroyed. Work your
way to the back room, first thing to do, is immediately go straight to the back
wall, hit the wall and start working your way left, eventually you will break
through and in that secret room is the Mystical Beads, and a Vase of gold. If
it already hasn't happened yet, there will be a cutscene with the Crimson King
jumping somewhere, that somewhere is where you are, all you have to do, is get
in one hit, and there will be another cutscene, where then he runs away. Kill
all the Mages, and work your way around getting the Vases and the mirrors, just
knock down the supporting pillars to get the vases up top. Stage Complete.
~

Stage Six - A Clouded Moon
Objectives - Purify the demon inhabiting Lover's Rock
Enemies - Malice Serpent, Shadow Serpent, Soul Caller, Fire Balls
Goodies - Beat in less than one minute to get Needle of Fury

This is another one of my least favorite levels. Remember the whole soul
tormented water thing? Yup, this level. I suggest iJumping until you get as
high as you go, and dashing your way towards the left side of the rocks. Do not
move without the moons protection, means, Fire Balls appear when the moon is
hidden (when it becomes dark) and the Soul Caller, becomes invincible. By the
time you get there, it should be light. Drop down, where you will see a
cutscene where Caller girl, asks how your soul tastes. Show her. Lock onto her,
and B+B+B+X her with Phoenix Spell. This will knock her far away. Do it again
if the Moon is still out. When th moon is hidden, it will take her a while to
get back on shore, by the time she does, it'll be moon out again, so Death Blow
her again. and again if you can. Kill the Serpents that swarm you if you need
magic, and if you repeat this enough you should defeat her. Hide behind the
Torii if you need protection if she gets too close (structure's support beam
near you) To kill her within one minute, the key is close combat. Get close and
death blow her repeatedly. Run away when the moon gets dark, and kill the
serpents. Repeat until pure. Stage Complete.
~

~
Stage Seven - Restless Sea
Objectives - Purify the Great Kesan
Enemies - Great Kesan, Kesans, Malice Serpent, Shadow Serpent
Goodies - Kill 30 demons to get the Dragon Point staff

Keep the ship afloat. Knock the goo off. This is attack of the giant blob,
Japanified. Ok, Knock off, or kill the Kesans, then iJump if you need over the
middle to keep knocking them off. Kill the malice serpents that swarm you. When
the serpents are gone, you know its about to be the boss battle. Death Blowing
this d00d with Phoenix is the easiest way to kill him. Keep knocking off the
Kesans until you kill the great Kesan. Stage Complete.

-SPIRITS: A lot of people have trouble finding the souls in this level. So,
I'll tell you where approximately they are. some are in the first big rock to
the right, in the crystals, and behind that same rock is a large mast, break it
to release a soul. There is more souls in the next big rock to the right, and
to the left of that, is a yard of masts. Break a few and you'll find a soul.
After the Ghost Ship, to the right is a lone mast, break it to release a soul.
If you are overcome with Jyubaku (white/gray/black smoke) you've probably gone
too far away form the ship. Make careful watch of your magic Meter.
~

~
Stage Eight - Tower of Water
Objectives - Restore the Essence of Water by Destroying the Support of the
Tower
Enemies - Malice Serpent, Shadow Serpent
Goodies - None

Ok, Dash is muchos handy. Don't bother even taking a second look at the
Serpents. They NEVER stop coming. Just knock down the pillars as fast as you
can, and then don't forget the Pillars on top of the middle platform. Stage
Complete.
NOTE: Y Attack is the only thing that breaks the pillars.
~

~
Stage Nine - Floating Tomb
Objectives - Purify the Giant Insect inhabiting the area
Enemies - Kudara
Goodies - Kill Kudara to get the Sutra of Agression

Ok, Good news/Bad news scenario. Good news is, you don't have to kill this Huge
Cockroach, only injure it. Bad news is, you do have to fight him. BEWARE OF HIS
TAIL AND LIGHTNING. If you stand still for longer than 3 secs, 3 Orbs of your
life are gone, because of lighting pounding you like a piece of Cube Steak. If
his tail touches you, 2-3 orbs of your life are gone because you didn't listen
to me! Best weapon for the job is the Helmet Splitter. Magic doesn't work. At
the beginning of the level, lock onto him, and When he dives for you 2x jump,
and iJump if need be, then Y attack him at his mouth, you might get hurt a
little but don't worry. He leaves goodies to pick up and Restore LF and Raise
ATK. If you just can't beat him, Return to Levels 1, 2, and 3 and get more
Gold, Better level, and "A"s in destruction. Then Once on level 9 or so, you
should be able to whip him and whip him good. Only place you can hurt him is
his mouth...and it has to be open. (To kill Kudara, use the Needle of Fury, and
the Helmet splitter. Two hits will take him out. The key is good timing. Out of
6 LF Orbs I came out with only 2.)
~

~
Stage Ten - The Green Cave
Objectives - Destroy the object Blocking the Flow of Ki (Freaky looking stone)
Enemies - Mercy Orb Symbol, Stone Diety, Archer Raven Yasha, Flame Raven
Yasha, Staff Raven Yasha, Rock
Goodies - Mercy Orb Symbol, Butterfly Staff

Pretty Linear Stage. Start going straight, through the tunnel and purifying
anything that gets in your way. Along the path, on the left is a alternate path
hidden by, some...thing that breaks into dust when you hit it (its light green)
that leads to the Butterfly Staff. Once you get to the large room you saw in
the cutscene, floating above the bridge is a Mercy Orb Symbol. Get it and don't
use great attack or you'll destroy the bridge. After that, make your way across
the bridge and into the room filled with crystals. The Stone dieties are
annoying as hell, so just go straight for he freaky looking stone. Like with
Jyosei in Stage 4, it will repel you, but you are still doing damage. Destroy
it to complete the level.
NOTE: You MUST destroy the bridge and the pillars that support the bridge plus
all crystals and statues if you want to get an "A" for destruction.
~

~
Stage Eleven - Spirit Wood
Objectives - Destroy cursed rock driving the forest spirits mad
Enemies - Wood diety, Stone Diety, Cursed Rock
Goodies - Jaws of the mountain hidden (check below), training sword if you
hit 400 combo

Ok, Another linear level. Just make your way straight until you come along an
alternate path to the right, take it and get the Jaws of the mountain, which is
protected by Dieties. Be careful on the bridge there it's not very strong. Head
back and turn right to continue on you path. Eventually you'll come across,
this huge purple/blue crystal covered rock...thingy. Knock it down. Um...nows
where you get Uber swarmed. Wood Dieties from all sides will they come. use a
staff and/or Chimera Spells to obliterate them. I've yet to get the training
sword. Stage Complete. (Yes you Must bitchslap the dieties to finish the level)

ALTERNATIVE -
"For level 11, you said to use a staff to win against the massive swarm of
Deities. Actually, the best weapon to use (in my experience) are the two
swords (Flash swords? [Twin Flashes] I dunno, I can't remember the name
right now). I got over 300 three times and one of those chains was 432,
IIRC. Incidentally, the wooden sword is terrible. There's no reason to
 have it, really."

Stage Twelve - Untamed Winds
Objectives - Purify the Demon Raven King
Enemies - Raven King, Talon Raven Yasha, Flame Raven Yasha, Staff Raven
Yasha, Archer Raven Yahsa
Goodies - Sword of Binding

Navigate this treacherous terrain. Don't get blown off when the wind howls.
Make your way through all Raven type demons, through a storm, through tree
trunks and such alive, to the shrine of one of the the four essences that you
saw in the cutscene when the princess was explaining hows these demons came to
be. Once your there, the Raven King, will appear. Use Phoenix Spells to peg him
from a distance, its much easier than attacking him when he has those psycho
shrapnel spells. When he dies he leaves you a parting gift. The Sword of
Binding. Remembrance of a battle fought long ago, with..."Him". Stage Complete!
~

~
Stage Thirteen - Valley of Flames
Objectives - Purify the Giants (Ogres)
Enemies - Viper Head, Vengence Ogre, Will o' Wisp
Goodies - Flame Staff

Ok, your job is you kill the Ogres. The only way to kill them is you stab them
(hit them) in the back. Once you've killed them all, you're golden. To get the
flame staff, destroy the statues on either side of the outlet spouting flames.
The flames will die, and you can go in to claim your prize. If you get stuck in
front of an ogre, hug his legs, and you probably won't get hit. then get out as
fast as possible. Stage Complete!
~

~
Stage Fourteen - Scarlet Path
Objectives - Get to the End of the Stage before you die
Enemies - Viper Head, Will o' Wisp, Water Spawn, Vengence Ogre
Goodies - None

The demons have shown themselves. (The black stuff circling you.) Now its time
to...RUN! Y attack will save your ass on this level. I suggest using the Lotus
Wing sword, its very light. Jump, dash and avoid what you can. Pass through the
Blue flames that are under the holy arches to replenish some magic, don't stand
there though. It won't help anymore than it did when you first stepped in.
Eventually you will come across 2 Ogres and a lava pit. Dash to the other side,
don't even mess with the ogres. Hurry as fast you can. You might not beat it
the first couple of tries, but don't worry; I'm sure you can get it.
~

~
Stage Fifteen - Sea of Fire
Objectives - Purify the Water Spirit blocking the flow of the Essence of Fire
Enemies - Water Spirit, Water Spawn
Goodies - Mercy Orb Symbol, Phoenix Spell Level 2, Holy Staff (Beat
within 2:30 to obtain the Holy Staff)

All right, Plain and simple, one death blow with Phoenix Spell will get him.
But, He runs away, so you'll have to corner him. Kill the water spawns to
replnish your magic, and dash to try to avoid their frost. Walk around the
inside of the Columns, and you will come to a crevice to the right, go in and
take the first left to find the Mercy Orb appear. Get it. go back out and
circle the rim again, eventually you will come across a Vase (spurting fire) in
between some columns and next to a wall (back of the statue) on the rim. Get it
Phoenix Level 2 from there. Since one Death Blow will kill the Water Spirit,
you should be able to get the Holy Staff no problem.
~

~
Stage Sixteen - A Chilled Moon
Objectives - Purify the Demon who is after the Essences
Enemies - Crimson King
Goodies - Beat this in under one minute to get the prayer beads,
Providence Mirror in the Framework of the platform behind the torii (arches)

This is straight forward. Kill the bastard. Only you can't attack him in the
front. Not even the sword of binding allows you to attack because that huge
hexagonal pipe he calls a weapon is too hard to get by. Attack him at the side
or behind. Its a HUGE area for two fighters, and he makes use of it and so
should you. When he jumps into the air, dash and move. either he's running
away, or going to pommel you. To beat him under one minute, I used the Twin
Flashes, and Level 2 Butterfly Spell. You have to hit him fast, at the side, so
when it begins double jump up and dash over him then Great attack down and hit
him with a death blow, and kepp hitting him with death blows. make sure to hit
him in his side or behind. If he runs, remember where he goes to, because the
first time he runs he usually goes to the same spot. (On top of that rock.)
~

~
Stage Seventeen - Eternal Night
Objectives - Retrieve a Soul Cord from the Giant Axe Blackwing
Enemies - Death Mage, Sentry Lionette, Axe Blackwing
Goodies - Phoenix Lvl 2, Jeweled Goblet

This is where it gets a bit tricky. This is Stage 4 in reverse. dash straight
and when you come to the cliff, go to the right a bit and iJump up, you should
hit a platform, keep going, when you reach the top, you should find Phoenix Lvl
2. Opposite it, through the door/gate, across the area below, inside a lamp on
a high rock platform is the Jeweled Goblet. Dash through all this until you get
to the beginning of the level. Now, kill th Axe Blackwing. It only took me once
to beat this, so i don't think he should be so hard, just use your acquired
skills. You get your first Soul Cord. Onto the Next stage. (When you go for the
Jeweled Goblet you'll probably get swarmed. I suggest coming back with the
Cleansing Bell.)
~

~
Stage Eighteen - Darkfire Cave
Objectives - Purify all of the Ogre's Guarding the entrance of the Furnace
Enemies - Death Viper Head, Blaze Ogre, Flame Blackwing
Goodies - Ogre's Horn, Phoenix Staff

I can't stand this level. I was stuck on it for about a week.
Well, this world is made from Raikoh's memories, and sadly, his memories are
actually NIGHTMARES!!! Stay away from the black flames of the furnace and the
black fireballs the Flame Blackwings throw at you. They both kill you. Big
time. I used a fully repaired Soul Shrine and Needle of fury to beat this
level. All I can say is jump and dash A LOT. Needle of Fury + Soul Shrine
(Fully Repaired) will take out all the smaller enemies with one great attack
and the 6 larger ones with only 2 hits. Kill all the blaze ogres. The Ogre's
Horn is held by the blaze Ogre on the platform to the left at the beginning of
the Stage. The Phoenix staff is held by one of the Death Viper Heads. Good
Luck. If you can't beat it, just play the stages before it and try to build up
your level and get some of the weapons and accessories.

ALTERNATIVE-
"I got a little stuck on stage thirteen (Valley of Flames) because I
couldn't kill the Ogres fast enough. I then looked through my
weapons and used the big hammer. Bingo! In about 3 big hits
from behind, I could kill an Ogre. All I did was make sure that I
attacked the ogres one at a time, locked on, went behind it and hit
it three times. The level became extremely easy. I tried the same trick
on level eighteen, and when I got the hang of the annoying blackwings, who
are impossible to hurt from the front, I got it sorted. I went through the
stage, going from area to area, ignoring the ogres until the blackwings
and viper heads were dead (I used Phoenix magic to help a lot here). Oh,
and the hammer takes care of those strange death viper heads really well,
pretty much one whack and they're dead, knocked into walls or each other
 usually."

-NOTE: AFTER YOU BEAT THE PREVIOUS STAGE ^, BUY THE CLEANSING BELL SO YOU DON'T
HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE BLACK FIREBALLS!!!

~
Stage Nineteen - Golem's Ravine
Objectives - Purify the Omni Stone
Enemies - Axe Blackwing, Death Stone, Omni Stone, Deadly Mushroom things
Goodies - Beat in under 1:50 to get the Skylarks

This level is a little tough if you don't know exactly what to do. Make your
way through the "'shrooms of death" and the Axe Blackwings and Black Spewing
old faithfuls from hell, and the tunnels into an upside down, backwards fck'd
up place. Go north west when you get to the open area, and get to more tunnels.
Get to the room with freaky crystals, and go through it avoiding the beam the
Omni stone emits. Keep going through the next room and the Death Stones, and
into the room, where the Omni Stone shows its face. It will shoot Blue balls
(excuse the pun) at you and the beam. Now, I suggest Phoenix Lvl 2 Spell.
Because, most likely, your magic will be at least half way gone, and Dragon
magic will have little affect seeing as, the Omni Stone is of the house of
Soryu. So use Phoenix, if you want to peg away at him from a distance. To kill
him more quickly, use Chimera Spell, dash, avoiding his Blue Balls and Beam,
right up to him and Death Blow him. Keep doing this until he dies. To get the
skylarks, I used Chimera Lvl 3, and went up to him and did a death blow, he
died quick. I suggest going through the level and destroying everything (the
shrooms, crystal things, etc.) in your way, then playing it again and dashing
through it and Death blowing him.
~

~
Stage Twenty - Inner Sanctum
Objectives - Purify the wuss of a Mist Lionette
Enemies - Mist Lionette, Axe Blackwing, Spear Blackwing
Goodies - Golden Dragon, Mercy Orb, Chimera Lvl 3 beat under 1:00

Pop the Mist Lionette like a pimple. The sword of binding is the only thing
that kills him. This is Stage 5 for those with short term memory. He'll run
like a bitch, so hit him in the back. Magic doesn't work. A Mercy Orb is where
the Mystical Beads were in Stage 5, except there's a little twist...the mercy
orb goes nuts! It fights back. Knocks the poo...outta you. the Golden Dragon is
where the Crimson King was chillen in Stage 5. The lionette runs there
eventually, so if you don't know where it is follow him. IF you kill him before
he gets there. Then it's through the Corridors to the right when you reach the
main room. Good Luck beating it under 1 min. Beware the spear
blackwings...they're Candid bastards. Use the sword of Binding and Needle of
Fury to get Chimera Lvl 3. 2 great attacks should take him out.
~

~
Stage Twenty One - Red Sea
Objectives - Guard the Purifying Spirit as it shall protect you
Enemies - Death Skull, Spear Blackwing, Death Serpent
Goodies - Punisher Blade one the platform in front of the Torii (arch)
on the right

Ok, I really suggest just using a weapon with a really high MP, and just
jumping up and dashing across to the left Torii. It's not much of a worry for
the Spirit, as, the first time i did it, I walked with it and failed. When I
tried this, It took a while for my magic to run out, (when you get there, there
will be Death Serpents and Death Skulls to slay to keep your magic alive for a
while.) and by the time it did run out (my magic I mean) the spirit was almost
there. The spirit had almost full LF. I made it with about 6 LF. The Punisher
is on the Right Platform where a pickup was in Stage 6, where the bridge
touches the rock down to the left.
~

~
Stage Twenty Two - Lair of Fire
Objectives - Purify the Axe Blackwings to reveal a Soul Cord
Enemies - Axe Blackwing, Death Viper Head, Mercy Orb Symbol
Goodies - Mercy Orb, Phoenix Staff, Thunder Sword, Phoenix Lvl 3 beat
under 1:39

Pretty sweet level here! You have Heat Distortion, and Low gravity going on. I
used a staff weapon for this level. Go to the north east and at the dead end of
the crevice where the pillars are will be a Mercy Orb, kill any Axe Blackwings
that get in your way. The mercy orb fights back, and disappears and reappears.
It took me half the time and my magic to kill it. I suggest using a High MP
weapon. Kill the Death Vipers that swarm you in the crevice to get the Phoenix
Staff i believe it is. Under a bridge in front of the huge shrine, is the
Thunder Sword. Kill the Blackwings as fast as possible, dragon magic is good as
it follows what you have locked on. Hurry or your magic will run out. If it
does, Circle the bottom of the crevice, this is where I found the last 2
remaining Blackwings, I also had no MP left. Beware, the longer you stay here,
the worse the Heat Distortion becomes. I used Dragon Lvl 3 and Dragon Staff to
get Phoenix Lvl 3. I really suggest you come back for it after you get Dragon
Lvl 3.
~

~
Stage Twenty Three - Canyon of Death
Enemies - Thunder Blackwings
Objectives - Purify the 8 Thunder Demons who hide a Soul Cord and
control the weather
Goodies - Black Swallow, Beat under 1:39 to get Butterfly Spell Lvl 3

At the beginning of the level, turn around, and head back break all the
crystals if you want an "A" in Destruction. Purify the lone Death Serpent to
get the Black Swallow twin swords. Head back. Once you kill three or four of
these demons, they begin calling lighting down. The dark gaseous orbs with
lightning in them are where the Thunder demons spawn. Rush under the tower
after you killed as many as you can. You've probably been struck by lighting
now, if you haven't you're lucky. I used Dragon Spells to kill these guys off
fast. Beware, once you're under the tower you may still be prone to attack by
lightning, I didn't get struck until after I got under the tower. Kill them all
for stage complete. To get Butterfly Lvl 3, I used Black Swallow and Dragon Lvl
3. Go to the black orbs outside and kill them as fast as you can, then once
you've killed three, lightning will start being called down. There's a lone orb
towards the back right of the tower, I'm sure you can get it under 1:39.
~

~
Stage Twenty Four - Forest of Wind
Enemies - Wind Slashers (3 of them)
Objectives - Purify the 3 Wind Slashers to reveal the Soul Cord they
have hidden
Goodies - Complete the stage to get Dragon level 3 magic, Staff of
Duality found hidden through passageway through tree stump, staff sits above
where you came in on the stump.

Unleash hell with House of Soryu. Keep firing Dragon magic, and when they
become visible, lock on and fire until they're dead. They should die VERY
quickly. I suggest getting the staff of duality later. :-) You should have
Dragon Spell Lvl 3 now.

-2ND PLAY TIPS: Yes, as suggested in Val's walkthrough the Wind Slashers are
harder! They're hits almost take off one life orb each. Be Careful.
~

~
Stage Twenty Five - Spirit Tower
Enemies - Lilac Spirits, Yamata No Orochi (Hydra)
Objectives - Destroy the Stone Caps to Open the Gateway through the
tower and release the hydra, Re-enter the Living world
Goodies - Kill the hydra to get Orchid Malevolence

I really suggest using a Staff or twin swords to beat this level. Begin cutting
before you get really close to the Lilac Spirits, they suck your magic out, big
time. Break all ten (I think) stone caps and you will see a cutscene. It might
b smart to leave one of the stone caps nearest you when you start (and away
from the hydra) for last. Time to run again. The hydra is hard to kill without
the moonlight sword so I suggest you use it. 100% Spirits released is hard to
get on this level as well. After you see a second cutscene you have to run some
more. Right after the cutscene, a lone candle stands on the ceiling to the top
left, the hydra destroyed it for me while I was hugging the wall jumping up and
down trying to get it. I was out of magic by the way. Beware of his spinning
blades and fireball attack, they cause you to stop running. Which is deadly,
Much. Very difficult. But, congrats! You may re-enter the Living World. :-D
~

~
Stage Twenty Six - Valley of Prayer
Enemies - Stone Glyph, Evil Mercy Orb (that has no Mercy Orb)
Objectives - Find the 5 red Stones to power up the Torii
Goodies - Purify 60 enemies to get the Sword of Voracity

YAY! This is the Demo level! Two of the stones are where two jeweled goblets
were, in the crevice and on the cliff by the bridge.<-- For people who played
the demo. The first Stone is on the cliff connected to the bridge that ends in
mid-air, in between 2 vases. The second is in the dead end of the crevice
hidden among the vases. The third is on a cliff straight across where you began
the level. The fourth, I'm not sure is in the Symbols or in a house (Purify and
reek utter destruction to find out!), and the fifth is in a Symbol. The symbols
are infinite so don't get caught up trying to kill ALL of them, :-) Stage
complete!
-ADD: One of the symbols is in a house. When you first start, to the northeast,
there are a few houses, break them, for the Stone Orb is in one.
I'm not exactly sure how you are purifying "the strange demon" that inhabits
the area. It's kind of like Scarlet Path.
~

~
Stage Twenty Seven - Sealed Palace
Enemies - Nayuta
Objectives - Drive the nails back into the wall, keeping the powerful
demon at bay
Goodies - None, Sorry

This is a straight forward, but difficult stage. Hit the nails with great
attacks to drive them back into the ground/wall and seal the demon. I used a
sword, I should have used a staff though, lol. Knock the nail on the floor on
the right/left in first, when they turn bloodshot red, they're done. Then do
the one above it, if you see lightning, RUN! Flee a little bit beyond the first
of the chains. Continue knock the nails in, when you see lightning or if you
time it and think its about right, flee a little bit beyond the chains in
front. To get the higher nails, Jump, when Raikoh begins to fall, jump again,
you go MUCH higher than just pushing A,A really fast. Once the chains are gone,
and the lightning begins to spew, don't bother running, there's nowhere to
hide. Instant Oblivion and death. Speed is what this stage is about. Beware the
electric, black and purple ball attack (it comes from the lanterns, I assume as
a means of keeping the demon from being released), it doesn't do much damage
unless your defense is down but it can halter you knocking the nails in. Stage
Complete.
~

Stage Twenty Eight - Ethereal Palace
Enemies - Tainted Soul Caller, Tainted Wind Slasher (3), Tainted
Raven King, Tainted Blackwing, Stone Glyph
Objectives - Purify the Gaurdians of Michizane
Goodies - None

Whoo! Hard level, no doubt. I used the Black Swallow, Dragon Level 3, and
Providence Mirror. Each boss, leaves a health orb for you. I usually take care
of the Soul Caller first, because I got the habit from Val's walkthrough. She's
really easy with the black swallows and dragon level three. a few good hits and
a Death Blow, she's dust. Next I took on the boss right across from the Soul
Caller, The Blackwing...I think. Beware, you'll most likely get hit on this
boss, he charges you with his spear and it takes 3 Heath orbs away. Deathblow
him, and reign the pain with a few dragon taps to finish him off. Move onto the
Raven King. Wow, this guy is a site to kill with Dragon Magic. The White moon,
is the side with the Raven King I think. Lock onto him and Death Blow him. He
get slammed around the place, it's pretty sweet. He dies quick if you do this.
now, go to the side with the red moon. Now, for the hardest part of the Stage.
You need to knock the Stone Glyphs through the 8 or so panes of glass. My
tactic is I stand in front of the panes, wait for the Glyphs to start coming
over, I 2x jump up, dash over them, then hit back on the Left thumbstick and
click the left thumbstick in. I then knock them through the panes of glass.
Beware their spin attack. It is VERY deadly. When you can hear the "Shing,
Shing, Shing, Shing" of the Wind Slashers, it's almost time, when you break the
last pane of glass, unleash dragon level 3 on them, jump and move and keep
firing the magic. You should kill them in no time, and see another cutscene
with scrolls on all 6 sides now. Go back to the central room, and clean up any
stone glyphs that might be wondering around, and Another cutscene with a portal
opening. time to face Michizane, in the last level that is!

-SPIRITS: The first soul is in the Tainted Soul Caller's room. When you enter,
to the left, on the wall is a crystal, break it to release a soul. The second
is in the Tainted Black Wing's room (lava pit one) It's in one of the torches
circling the main platform. The Third is in the Tainted Raven King's room. When
you enter, look up, you see 2 rings with statues on them. On the top ring, the
2nd or 3rd statue over to the left from the middle, has a soul in it. the last
soul is in one of the pillars in the middle of one of the rooms on the way to
the wind slashers

-2ND PLAY TIP: The wind slashers are harder, I used the Moonlight Sword, took
care of the other bosses, and went for them. I got out with 2 LF orbs, 3
because of the life pickup. They become very annoying. Just hit Y and X and
Lock on As much as possible.
~

~
Stage Twenty Nine - In the Heavens
Enemies - Michizane
Objectives - Purify Michizane
Goodies - Pride, and 2nd Play

I used Dragon Level 3, Dragon Staff, and Province Mirror. You have to defeat
him 3 times. He will change forms, each time. The first time, just lock on and
death blow him. And continue doing this, until he dies. He will change forms,
and just lock on and death blow him a few times to kill him again. He will
change forms once more. This is his hardest form, it's hard to lock on, and its
hard to hit him because he can dash like you now. His sword is like the Crimson
Kings Pipe, you can barely get past it, so lock onto him as soon as he changes
and death blow him as much as you can. The lock on will probably go off, as
he'll dash or some thing. Watch out for his Dark fireball attack, and his Blue
Fire ball attack, as well as his physical attack. Dash around and lock on and
deathblow, if you do this he won't be be able to do jack, and is easily
defeated. There will be a cutscene, showing his kinder side, and then a
cutscene with Raikoh, then credits, and another cutscene with Raikoh, I
believe. A very nice cutscene. Congratulations, you have over come the odds
against you, and purified the demons making an attempt for the world. Makes you
wonder what happens to Raikoh, does he die, with a clean soul? Is he brought
back to life, with a pure spirit? Does he ever see the princess's face? We'll
have to leave all this to our assumptions, as the makers intended.

-2ND PLAY TIP: I VERY MUCH suggest you use the Moonlight Sword on 2nd Play,
because the Dragon Staff just doesn't cut it. The Moonlight sword will kill his
earlier forms with one beam of light. It will kill his third form with one beam
of light as well, however, his defense is raised. He will block them until
finally you get one in and kill him. When you beat it on 2nd Play...you get to
enjoy a new ending movie. :-D It was just as good, if not better than the first
ending movie.
