I have decided to complete the the hero and heroine walkthroughs.

Story, 100%

Long, long ago
there was a goddess.

She cherished all life and
transformed herself into a Mana
Tree to watch over the world.

Thus the legend began.

As time passed, memory of the goddess
faded from people's hearts...

One day, a man crept into
the sanctuary where the
Mana Tree slumbered.

With the power of Mana,
he built a great civilization.

But this marked
the dawn of a terrible
age fo darkness...

The man forced the world
to kneel to his will.

His name was Vandole.

When souls were trapped
in the darkness of despair
a glimmer of hope shone in the
hearts of a few brave youths.

The fighting was fierce,
but they would not give up.

One wielded a holy blade
that gleamed as brightly as
the hope in their hearts.

Powerless before this light
the darkness was vanquished.

The power of Mana was
reclaimed from human hands and
restored to its rightful place.

		But now...

The people have forgotten
the goddess once again...

1. The Jackal
	After the introduction you will find yourself in a jail cell. Willy will 
speak with you. After he finishes speak with Amanda, the girl on the west side of 
the cell. Now speak with the slave who is standing near the door. Then speak with 
Amanda two more times and the slave again. A guard will come in and announce that 
it is Willy and the Hero's turn. He will lead you into the battle arena. After Dark 
Lord finishes speaking the Jackal will be released. Those of you who have played 
Final Fantasy Adventures should remember this fight. The Jackal is a very easy 
boss. Simply attack it with your sword until you kill it.
	Now that you have slain the Jackal, run through the north exit. A small 
scene will show you and Willy on a bridge. You will tell him that you want to get 
revenge on Dark Lord. Dark Lord will then of course walk over to you. You will draw 
your sword and attack him but he will grab the sword with one and hand then knock 
you off of the bridge.

2. Going to Topple
	After you are knocked off the bridge the screen will change and Niccolo 
(from Legend of Mana) will be shown fishing. He will pull you out of the water and 
talk to you for a moment before running off.  Walk south and you will hear a girl 
scream for help. Go to the next screen and you will see a Chobin Hood. Kill it and 
the girl will begin to speak to you. She will join your team and ask if you can 
help her find a book for a boy from Topple. Search the meadow you are in until you 
find it.  Now follow the path to Topple.

3. The Cascade Cottage
	Now that you are in Topple, the girl will leave your team. Enter the house 
closest to the south exit of Topple. The old man that is inside will be talking to 
himself until he notices you. Go outside and a boy will be standing in front of the 
door. He will start talking to you and the old man from the house will come 
outside. After they realize you are not a Heretic Hunter he will invite you into 
his house and tell you about the Sword of Mana. He will give you the Magic Rope. 
Leave the house and speak with everyone in town. Enter the house closest to the 
east exit of Topple and speak with the man inside to learn about a swordsman who 
lives in the Cascade Cottage northeast of Topple. Niccolo will be standing by the 
Goddess Statue. Try to leave town and he will tell you about a special notebook he 
has and will sell it to you for 10 Lucre. Buy it.
	Leave town and follow the straight path to the Cascade Cottage. Along the 
way, you will see a set of stairs past those stairs. Walk up to the door of the 
Cascade Cottage. You will start talking to yourself and then enter the house. You 
see a letter on the table and read it. It says to go to Wendall. The girl from 
before will enter the house and start calling you a Heretic Hunter. After she 
realizes you are not a Heretic Hunter she will join you. Exit the house and walk to 
the west. She will teach you how to Jump.

4. Batmo Cave
	Go back to the stairs with the cliff past them and jump up. Now go to the 
west until you see Niccolo. He will ask you to get rid of the metaballs inside the 
cave. Go into the cave. This cave is just a straight path to the exit of the cave. 
When you get to an area that looks like this _|_ then go up and defeat the chobin 
hoods in the area to get the bow. Then go to the right and use the bow to detroy 
the metaball.  Now continue to follow the path until you get to a second metalball. 
Use the girl's staff to bash it or use a charged sword attack to shoot through it. 
Now leave the cave.

5. Vinquette Vicinity
	You are now in Vinquette Vicinity. Head southwest until you get to a sign 
that points you to the Manor. Go to the path on the right and head up until you 
find a gate. At night the gate is opened. Once you get it open enter an the girl 
will say she saw a ghost and go into the woods to look around. After she comes out 
go north until you get to a house. Enter the House.

6. Vinquette Manor
	As you enter, an Ebony Butler will greet you. He will ask if you want to 
stay the night in the house and a lady will come in. The Butler will call the lady 
Isabella and ask if she needs anything to make her stay more comfortable. She will 
say no and go to her room. You will then take the butler's offer on staying the 
night. In the room you will see a chest. Take what is inside and then exit the room 
and go to the right until you get to Isabella's room. She will tell you that the 
count of the house is a vampire. Return to your room and go to sleep. You will wake 
up and the girl will be missing. Leave the room and walk down the stairs. The Ebony 
Butler will mention the girl and will the walk through the door on the left. Go 
down the stairs and go into the door. Go to the left and walk all the way up until 
you get to a room with some stairs in it. Go down the stairs and check the second 
door to find a metaball. Destroy the ball and Salamander, the fire spirit, will 
appear and become one of your spirits. With your new spirit go back upstairs and go 
to the right until you find a door. Enter the room and you should see 1 zombine. 
Use Salamander to kill the Zombine and then enter the door. Search for a room with 
coffins. Inside you will see a strange man looking into the coffins. You will ask 
him what he is doing here and he will reply with the same question. He answers your 
question and then leaves. The Ebony Butler will enter the room and tell you that 
you must be killed for seeing this room. He will transform into a werewolf.
	You can easily kill the werewolf with a few sword attacks. After you defeat 
him he will say, "How could I be so careless." He will also disappear. Now enter 
the door in the top right corner of the room and you will see the count with the 
girl. He will transform into a bat (looks like Buffy from Secret of Mana) and will 
attack you. This is also an easy fight. After a couple attacks from your sword will 
put him away easily. I was level 23 (working on an EXP Chart) and I killed him with 
3 hits. After you beat him, a familiar person will appear and tell you that it was 
not the count's fault that the Mana Women were here because it was his idea. They 
will tell you to go to Marsh Cave.

7. Scaly Lair and Marsh Cave

-Scaly Lair-

-Marsh Cave-
	After you leave the house head south until you find the Scaly Lair. Once 
you are in the Scaly Lair go right, up, and left and you should find a cave. Enter 
to get into the Marsh Cave. Unlike the last few areas, the Marsh Cave isn't a bunch 
of straight lines. Walk around until you find a pole sticking out of the ground. 
There should be a path just under it. Walk to that path and you will fall down a 
hole. Kill all of the monsters in the area to get the Flail. Now ue the flail to 
escape the area. Go back to the pole you saw before and use the flail to get 
across. Now go up and right. You will have to use the flail to get around the area. 
You will soon get to a room that has a mirror on the ground. Pick the mirror up and 
a monster will appear and attack you. The flail has long reach so it would be easy 
to use to kill the monster or you can use your sword to kill it. After you defeat 
it you will get Undine, the water spirit. Bring her to the clean water to the east 
in the Scaly Lair. She will become one of your spirits after you heal her in the 
water. Now make your way to the path to Wendall.

8. Path to Wendall
	In the cave you will find a pillar. Use Undine's power to destroy  it. Now 
exit the cave through the exit past the Pillar and walk down two screens and left 
one screen. Go up and you will come to Wendall.

9. Wendall
	Go up one screen to find a Minstrel singing a song. After he sings the song 
you will talk to him. He will tell you that he was summoned to Granz Castle A gray-
haired man will tell him that it's dangerous to go to Granz Castle because of the 
Dark Lord and will leave. Go to the Inn and speak with the gray-haired man. After 
you finish talking to him, go to the north to find the Cathedral. Inside is Cibba, 
the great sage, and Bogard. After you get mad and leave, airships will fly overhead 
and Dark Lord will come to the cathedral. You will attack him again but he will 
stop your attack and ask if you want to join his army. You say no and get knocked 
into the cathedral. The girl will heal you and Dark Lord will enter. He will take 
the girl. Now you are in Devius's room. Speak with Bogard and you will form a plan. 
Leave Wendall through the east exit.

Hero
Our story's leading man is the son of the Granz Realm consul. Ten years ago, our 
hero's parents were killed by the Dark Lord. Thrown into the dungeons of Granz 
Castle, our hero was forced to become a fighter-slave for the Realm, battling 
monsters daily just to stay alive. His sole aim is to avenge his parents' deaths by 
defeating Dark lord.

Heroine
Our story's female protagonist is a member of the Mana Clan, a people said to be 
descendants of the mana Goddess herself. Out heroine lived happily with her mother 
in Mana Village until Dark Lord persecuted the clan as heretics and razed the town. 
After her mother and most of the villagers peerished, our heroine fled, seemingly 
doomed to life in the shadows. But run as she might, the Realm's Heretic Hunters 
are never far behind...

Bogard
A Gemma Knight and protector of the Heroine.

Cibba
A great sage who lives in the town of Wendel. He knows much about Vandole and Mana.

Amanda
A girl who the hero met while being a slave in Granz Castle. She always talks about 
her younger brother who is a minstrel.

Lester
Amanda's brother and a great Minstrel. Uses the song that Lord Granz used to sing 
to the Hero.

Willy
A member of the Mana Clan. When the Mana Village was destroyed, he was taken to 
Granz Castle as a fighter-slacve and met the Hero.

Watts
A dwarven blacksmith who goes to your hot house and forges weapons and armor for 
you.

Isabella

A mysterious man who serves under Dark Lord, Julius is both a skilled swordsman and 
a master magician. Rumor has it that he is a descendant of Emperor Vandole, though 
no one knows his true origin. Julius is anything but shy when expressing his 
opinions to his superior, Dark Lord and even admonishes him on occasion. For 
Juliue's greatest obsession lies in the power of Mana...

Dark Lord
The masked man known as Dark Lord is the young leader of Granz Realm, the duchy 
established by his estranged father, Lord Granz. Determined to rule the Realm by 
his own wits and without the help of Mana power, he is intent on eliminating 
the "heretical" Mana Clan at all costs.

Devius and Dark Lord's mother.

Sells accessories and items. Also gives you Popoi's Notebook an Cactus Essence.

Dudbears
Good diggers, but they never talk.

Li'l Cactus
Speak with him and he will write in his Journal.

Black Monsters appear after killing 999 of any monster. Black Monsters can drop 
Altena Felt and Crystal which makes the most powerful equipment in the game but 
each black monster has the stats of the monster it is +500 HP and +100 to all stats 
including experience.

Jump - L Button - Allows you to jump up and down small cliffs.
Sit - L+A Buttons - Allows you to sit down to recover mana.

Weapon Combos - At the end of a weapon attack hit the A button to perform a combo. 
This can be done two times.

Call Amigos - After linking with a friend, you will be able to call your amigos 
once a day. (In the game.) All of your amigos will attack an enemy and leave.

1. Mana Statues
Touch Mana statues to save.
There are two statue types:
gold and (broken) silver.
Gold Mana statues save the
game and restore HP and MP.
Silver Mana statues can
only save the game.

2. Leveling Up
When "LVUP!" appears over
the main character, select a
growth type from the LVUP ring
command to enchance your abilities.

3. Skill Levels
The more you use a weapon or
magic in battle, the higher
your skill level becomes.
The higher your level,
the more effective you become.
You can check your current skill
level on the character status screen.

4. Deathblow
If the Deathblow gauge reaches MAX,
your character will start to blink.
By pressing the A Button for one
second you can release a Deathblow
from the weapon currently equipped.

5. Magic Rope
Use this to go back to a safe
place by the Goddess's power.
Some places with strange powers
may prevent you from using it.

6. Attack Traits
Physical attacks have 3 basic
traits: slash, bash, and jab.
A weapon's trait is shown
when it is selected

7. Monster Stamina
A monster's stamina varies
depending on the attack trait.

When more than one spirit
with the same attribute is
available, you can use several
at once. These attacks are

The trajectory of
Attack Magic varies

13. Cutting Grass
Slash trait weapons can cut grass.

14. Moving with the Flail
The flail can hook onto
certain distant objects
and pull you towards them.

15. Jumping
Jumping allows you to leap
up and down ledges, etc.

Pres both the L Button and
the A Button to sit down and
take a rest. Sitting restores MP.

17. Metaballs
There are 3 types of metaballs:

different from that item.
Resulting abilities will vary.

21. The Orchard
Give the Trent 2 seed items and
the orchard will produce
either a fruit or veggie.
