Left Analog Stick
-----------------

 - This will control the forward, backward, and side to side motion of your
character.

C Stick
-------

 - This turns your charater, and it also controls your up and down motion to
aim weapons and look around.

A Button
--------

 - Reloads your current weapon.  It'll also do a lot of the actions displayed
on the screen during certain parts of the game, including picking up objects to
throw/smash on enemies.

B Button
--------

 - This is the secondary firing button for your weapons.  Depending on what
weapon you have selected at the time, its function could range from absoultely
nothing to firing a grenade.

Y Button
--------

 - This will cycle through your current weapon inventory.

X Button
--------

 - This will cycle through your current weapon inventory in the opposite
direction from the Y button.

Z Button
--------

 - This will make you crouch, which you'll need to do many times to complete
the game.

L Button

 - This button makes you jump.

R Button
--------

 - This is your primary firing button.

D Pad
-----

 - D UP is your quick medkit button.  Pressing it will use a medkit from your
inventory as long as you actually have one in your inventory.  D LEFT and
D RIGHT will cycle through your items, such as medkits, your lock pick,
grappling hook, card keys, and so forth.

 - This opens up the menu and functions as the pause button.

Sound
-----

 - The music and sound effects really make this game.  If you have a sound
system with a lot of bass, I highly suggest you use it.  Many people avoided
this game because the graphics looked stupid, but they actually only add to the
general feel of the game.  The cinema is done well, and it matches the music
perfectly.

Helmets and Armor
-----------------

 - Helmets and armor increase your resistance to damage by an insane amount.
Sometimes, you can live through a direct body hit from a grenade if you have
full helmet and armor.  If not, a grenade can kill you from across the room
sometimes.  Always check around for helmets and armor, and when possible, kill
enemies that are wearing helmets and armor without damaging it, so you can take
it from them.

Using Objects as Weapons
------------------------

 - There are tons of items scattered around pretty much every level just
waiting for you to pick them up.  Brooms, shovels, pool sticks, bottles, ash
trays, bricks, chairs, and even shards of glass can be picked up and used to
attack enemies.  With the exception of the shards of glass, all of those items
will completely take out an enemy if you score a direct hit.  This is a great
way to eliminate enemies without making too much noise and without wasting
ammunition.

Grabbing People
---------------

 - Eventually, your character will remember how to grab people from behind to
use as a hostage.  This is an excellent way to remove enemies from the field,
since they won't make a noise as long as you're holding them.  You can sneak up
on an enemy, grab them, drag them to a closet somewhere, and knock them out,
which makes it much less likely that other guards will hear you do it or see
their knocked out buddy on the ground somewhere.

Walkthrough Structure
---------------------

 - I've divided the walkthrough into sections that reflect the checkpoints you
can reach during each mission.  The name of each section is what will appear on
your save file if you attempt to load a game.  That should make it very easy to
find where you are in the guide.

You'll see a nice intro scene, and once you are back on the beach, you will
hit the first Check Point.

Brighton Beach 1
----------------

Follow the lifeguard towards her truck once you have control of your character.
You will be slow, but don't worry, the whole game is not that slow.  After you
get about half way to the truck, a flashback will occur.  Run around in the
hallway for a while, and then you will find yourself on the deck of a boat.  No
matter what you do, you will eventually fall off, and then the scene will
change back to the beach again.  Continue walking towards the truck.

Brighton Beach 2
----------------

Examine the lifeguard to find a set of Throwing Knives.  Carefully step out
from behind the curtain thing you're standing next to, and use one of the
Throwing Knives to kill the guard on the outside of the door (use the X or Y
button to get the knife in your hand, and then the R button to throw it).  If
you can get the guard in the head, he will be instantly killed.

Turn around to the other exit of this room, since that door is locked.  There
is a box on the wall to the left of the second exit, and you will find a med
kit in there.  (Use the A button to open the box while you are close to it, and
press Up on the D-Pad to use a med kit.)  Enter the next room, and grab the
hand gun off of the table.  Use it to kill the guard approaching from behind
the building.  Take your time and aim for his head.  You can shoot through the
glass, so I suggest doing so.

There are more knives on the table on the left side of the exit, and the key to
the front door is on the table to the right of the exit.  Step onto the deck
from the rear exit, and take the Magnum from the guard you killed earlier.
Take the box of Magnum ammo on the bench, too.  Then head for the front door of
the aid station.  Open the door using the key (press right on the D-Pad, select
the key, and then press A next to the door), and then exit the aid station.

 - Mission objective (Escape from the first aid post) is now complete.

Brighton Beach 3
----------------

Take the Kalash from the first guard you killed, and then use your weapons to
kill the next two guards that approach.  Take their ammo, and then head down
the deck.  Turn right at the first intersection, and head to the end of that
area.  On the wall of the last small structure, there is a first aid box with a
med kit in it.  Inside that same structure, you can get some more Magnum ammo
as well as some more Throwing Knives.

Head down the other side of the walkway now.  Eventually, you will see a guard
on the top of the cliff.  Use your Magnum to down him.  Continue along the
walkway.  Another guard will jump out from the left, so kill him and take his
stuff.  Continue along the path, and kill the guard behind the boxes.  Jump
over them (press L to jump), and run all the way to the end of the walkway.
There's a med kit in the yellow lifeguard boat if you need it, but chances are
you have plenty of them as it is.

Take out the guard that comes out of the chopper, and then head to the right
towards the small structure there.  There's another first aid box with a med
kit in it, and some ammo around the side.  There's also another guard, so take
him down and examine him to find the key to the truck.  Get the key out (press
right on the D-Pad to select the key, or press A twice ) and get in the truck.

 - Mission objective (Leave the beach using the killer's pick up truck) is now
complete.

 - Mission requirement:  (Do not kill the bank staff.)

Winslow Bank
------------

Simply walk forward to get the mission objectives off of your screen.  Walk
forward in the bank about half way through, and turn to your left to find an
open bank teller.  Walk up to him, and he'll say some stuff.  Then turn to your
left and wal to where the guard is standing.  The teller will open the door, so
follow him all the way to the entrance of the vault.  When the huge vault door
is open, run all the way to the back of the vault, turn left, and you will be
in front of your safe.

Press A twice to open the safe.  Grab the case out of it, and then turn around
to run back where you came in the room.  Another flashback will occur.  Walk
forward and turn to the right, then follow along with the scene.  When you are
back in the (real) bank, the bomb will blow a hole in the wall.  If you're too
close, you'll be killed.

 - Mission objective (Access the strongroom) is now complete.

After the explosion, head through the hole that's formed in the safe wall.
Work your way through the tight hallways, and then up the ladder.  You'll need
to crouch to get in the air duct (press Z to crouch).  At the end of the duct,
press A to smash the grate blocking your escape.

Winslow Bank 1
--------------

REMEMBER:  You cannot kill the bank staff.  You can punch them and smash them
with things, but you cannot shoot them.

Get behind the guard and punch him with the A button until he falls down.  Grab
his weapon, and then continue up the stairs.  When you find a chair, grab it
with the A button.  Get to the top of the stairs, and when you see the next
guard, use your R button to smash the chair on him.  It will knock him out, so
grab his weapon and then grab another chair.  Continue along this walkway, and
use the pillar things as cover to sneak up and knock out each of the guards
using chairs or ashtrays.  Make sure you collect all of their weapons.

At the end of this walkway area, you will find a door you can open with the A
button.  Do so, and then grab one of the chairs from the corner of the room.
Watch the scene that occurs through the large window, and then watch the door
nearby for the guard that will soon be openning it.  When he does, smash the
chair on him, grab his weapon, and then grab the med kit in the other corner of
the room.

Go through the next door to the room where the men were talking earlier.  It
will be deserted this time, and there is nothing of interest in it.  Continue
through the next door.  There are two guards in this room, so use chairs to
knock both of them out.  In the far corner of the room, there is a med kit on a
table.  Jump on the table, crouch, and smash the grate on the wall.  Crawl
through here, smash the other grate, and jump into the next hallway.

Winslow Bank 2
--------------

At the end of this hallway, you'll find a woman in the next room.  Walk up
behind her slowly, and press the A button when the grab icon appears.  Take the
Magnetic Keycard from the corner of that table, and then turn to your left.
There's a keycard box on the left side of the next door.  Walk over to it, and
get close enough so that the unlock icon shows up.  Press A when it does, and
the door will open.

There are several guards out there, but you can't kill them.  Instead, keep
facing them, and they won't attack you as long as you have the hostage.  Look
away from them though, and they will shoot you quickly.  Walk out into the
hallway, and turn left to face the guards.  Now walk backwards until you bump
into the wall, and then start walking to the right while slowly turning left to
continue facing the guards.

Eventually, you will walk passed an elevator.  Carefully get close to the box
next to it, and when the unlock icon appears, use your A button to open it.
Back into the elevator, and then carefully press the elevator's button on the
right side (it's to the right if you are walking backwards into the elevator)
using your A button when the action icon appears.  You can now drop the hostage
by pressing your A button again.

Get your Magnum out, and exit the elevator.  Head around the walkway you're on,
and take out the enemies you encounter using your Magnum.  There are two doors
that you can open down this way, so open the first one you come to.  Kill the
men inside, take their stuff, and take the med kit on the desk.  Enter the next
room and take care of the men in there as well.  Get back onto the walkway, and
then head through the screen thing.  One man will try to stop you, so keep your
guard up.  Go through the next door, turn right, and head out towards the
street.  There will be one last enemy above the exit, so as you approach it,
keep looking up to take him out.

 - Mission objective (Escape from the bank) is now complete.

Head down the metal stairs, and then down the ladder to the street to watch a
short scene.

Watch the scene, and then approach the woman once you have control of your
character.  The only thing of interest in this room as a Document near the
door, so pick it up, and then exit the room.

FBI 1
-----

Turn right once you're out of the door.  There's a grate around the corner, so
crouch, smash it, and then work your way to the other end.  Smash the next
grate, and then back out of the duct the way you came in, because the noise is
going to attract a guard's attention.  When you get out, grab the nearby chair
and head for the remaining guard at the other side of the hallway.  Smash the
chair on him, and then pick up his chair.  Enter the open door where the first
guard is still investigating the noise, and smash that chair on him.

Grab both guard's weapons, and also examine the lockers on the wall in the room
where you knocked out the second guard to find some ammo and a med kit.  Then
walk across the hall, open the door where the other guard was sitting, and walk
around the machine to get another med kit.  Go back into the main hallway now,
and take a left.  Grab one of the chairs, and then open the door.  Smash the
chair on the guard, and then smash the grate behind the two boxes.

Once you get to the other side, FBI agents and enemy men will start fighting in
the next several rooms and hallways.  Remember:  You can kill the normal
combatants, but you can't kill the FBI agents.  Instead, you'll have to use the
chairs that are laying in the hallways.  Work your way through the area until
you come to a workout room.  Pass through it, and then continue along the hall.
Don't miss the last room before heading up the stairs.  There's a med kit in
one of the lockers in that room, and there are two men in the smaller room
attached to this one.  Enter that room and kill the guy in there to take his
Shotgun.  Head up the brick stair area now.

FBI 2
-----

Get your shotgun out and loaded.  Walk to the next exit from the room your in,
and two guards will attack you.  Kill them and take their weapons.  Procede to
the next doorway.  Three men will attack you through here once you step in
front of it.  Kill them all, take their stuff, and then head for the staircase
in the upper-left corner of that room.  Go down the stairs and take the med kit
and shotgun/shotgun ammo from the shelf in there.  Then head back up the stairs
and turn left to go through the next set of doors.  Two more men will attack
your from the other side of the hole in the floor, so kill them.  Don't step
too close to the hole, or the floor will collapse.

Your next targets are the two men on the floor below this hole in the floor.
Carefully pick them off with your hand gun, and then walk along the tiny ledge
of good solid floor against the wall.  Walk directly forward in this next room
and drop down the ramp.  Continue walking forward through this hallway until
you run into a wall, and then turn right to enter the next room.  There is a
thing of Body Armor in the upper-left corner of this room, partially hidden by
the leaves on the floor.  Grab it, and then head back out through the hallway
and up the ramp.

Turn left at the top of the ramp, and head forward to the next room.  Turn to
the right at the end of it, and take out the three guards in this room.  Take
their stuff, and then head all the way through this room and the following
rooms until you get to a ladder (there will not be any more enemies to fight).
Climb the ladder to complete the level.

 - Mission objective (Rejoin the soldier on the roof) is now complete.

 - Mission requirement:  (Jones must not die.)

Major Jones
-----------

Turn right and climb up the ladder.  Approach Major Jones, and then approach
her again once she stops talking.  Press left of your D-Pad to get your Grapnel
out.  Look up in the direction where Jones went, and then press your R button
to fire the hook.

Major Jones 1
-------------

Hold R to reel in the wire.  When you get near the top, start swinging on the
wire.  On your approach to the ledge, press the A button to release the hook.
You will swing over to the top of the building.  Walk over to Jones again.

Follow her when she runs.  She'll give you a Sniper Rifle.  Step around the
corner near where Jones is crouched.  Pressing the B button will zoom the scope
of the Sniper Rifle, and pressing it again will zoom in more.  There are two
enemies on the top of the next building, so pick them both off.  Then head back
to Jones again, and pick off the third man on the building over there.

Now return to the grappeling area where Jones was standing when you first got
to the top of this building.  Attach your hook, and then hold the B button to
slowly drop down to the ledge below.  Press your A button when you're fairly
close to the ground.  Turn to your left and grab the med kit on the ledge
there.  Then jump up to that ledge and make your way all the way to the top of
the metal stairs.  Open the door at the top, and then open the cabinets in the
back-left corner of that room to get some armor, Magnum ammo, and a med kit.

Head back out to where you landed with the grappeling hook.  There are several
men in this area, so start picking them all of with your hand gun or shotgun.
Make sure you collect all of their weapons/ammo, including the grenade on the
guy behind the small storage building.  (Two men will come out of that building
when you start fighting.  You'll find some ammo and a med kit inside it.)

Enter the next building where Major Jones will be waiting.  A man will try to
use a table as cover, so quickly run in and blast him with your shotgun.  Take
the grenades on the ground behind the table, and then follow Jones out the next
door and up the stairs.

Major Jones 2
-------------

Jump across the hole in the walkway just like Jones does.  When she unlocks the
next door, open it and toss a grenade down that hallway.  Take the ammo and
stuff from that room, and then keep following Jones.  She'll take cover on the
next roof top, so follow here there.  Get your Sniper Rifle out and pick off
the three men on the top of the building with the two large billboards.  Then
continue following Jones to the next building and into the fenced area.

Walk forward, and Jones will throw a grenade at the building on the right.
Three men will run out of it, so gun them all down as fast as possbile.  Then
deal with the other two that will be attacking Jones from the other building on
the other side of the roof.  Pick up everyone's ammo, and the med kit in the
building on the left of the roof.  Follow Jones all the way through the next
building until you reach a checkpoint.

Major Jones 3
-------------

Pick up the armor and med kit near the door where you entered the checkpoint
room.  Get your Sniper Rifle out and eliminate all four of the guards on the
next roof top from the safety of the room you're in.  Jones will run out there
when you've gotten them all, so follow her.  She'll tell you to deactivate the
security system, so turn to the small building to the right of the gate.  Kill
the guy that comes out of it, and then go inside.  Grab the med kit from the
left side, and the shotgun ammo and armor from the right side.  Then smash the
control thing to deactivate the security system.

 - Mission objective (Deactivate the tarmac security system) is now complete.

Join Jones on the chopper pad by running through the large gate.

 - Mission objective (Follow Major Jones) is now complete.

Eliminate the men there, and then approach the chopper to complete the mission.

 - Mission objective (Climb aboard the chopper) is now complete.

Emerald Base Bridge
-------------------

Get your shotgun out and head through the snowy path.  When you see a bird fly
away, there will be a soldier around the next corner.  Run around it fast and
blast the soldier with the shotgun.  Take his ammo, and then get your Crossbow
out.  Head towards the road slowly, and peek around the rocks to the left.
Use your crossbow to pick off as many of the three soldiers over there as you
can, and switch to your hand gun or shotgun if they rush your position.

Once all three of them are dealt with, take their ammo.  Enter the small
structure on the left of the large gate and take both of the med kits in it.
Then take cover behind the jeep.  If you have bolts left for your crossbow, use
it to pick off the two approaching guards.  If you don't have any bolts, just
hide behind the jeep until the guards get close.  Once you've killed them both,
take their ammo and continue down the valley.  Take out the two guards near the
truck, and make sure you take their supplies, since one of them has some blots
for your crossbow.

Keep going down the valley around the next turn.  use your crossbow to pick off
the two guards standing in front of the building.  Run up there, take their
stuff, and then turn to your right.  A soldier is going to exit that small
structure on the left of the bridge, so take care of him with whatever weapon
you wish.  When you're done, enter the large building through the door near
where you killed the two guards a minute ago.

Head through here until you see some soldiers on the ground.  Carefully turn to
your left when you see them, and kill the enemy standing there.  Peek around
the next corner to your left as well to deal with another guard.  Don't miss
the armor and helmet on the boxes where you killed the first soldier.  Once
you've got those, head for the back-right corner of the large store room to get
the Assault Rifle grenades, med kit, and ammo off of the barrels there.

Turn around and take cover.  Three men will enter the room, so I suggest
launching one of your AR grenades at them when you have a clear shot (the B
button will launch a grenade when you have the Assault Rifle equipped).  Finish
off any survivors with the bullets, and then pick up all of their equipment.

Head up to the top level using the stairs in the hallway by the boxes where you
got your armor and helmet earlier.  You'll see a box with some switches on it
to your left when you get up there, so run to it and flip the switch.

 - Mission objective (Reconnect the power supply) is now complete.

More soldiers will enter the room when you do, so stay on guard.  In the
opposite corner of the room on the upper level, there are more AR grenades,
ammo, and a med kit.  Grab them, and then start backtracking out to the snow.

Enter the small structure on the left side of the bridge and flip the switch,
which will actually work this time.  Before you cross the bridge, take out your
crossbow and eliminate the two guards walking along the top of the walls in
front of you.  Cross the bridge, get your shotgun out, and wait by the window
of the small building to your left.  Watch the two men talk, and when the one
on the left gets up to leave, blast him in the head through the glass.  The
second one will hide, so enter that small building, and quickly turn to your
right to kill him.  Grab the weapons and med kit in there, and then head back
outside.

There are some boxes against the wall of this building on the same side as the
bridge.  Jump up them and get on the roof of the building.  When you look up,
you will notice a spot where you can use your grappeling hook.  Do so, and then
work your way around that ledge to the grate.  Break it, climb through the
duct, and procede through it until the level is complete.

 - Mission objective (Penetrate the base enclosure) is now complete.

 - Mission requirement:  (Prevent the SPADS from setting off the alarm.)

Emerald Base Roof
-----------------

Drop down next to the crates and grab the bolts and crossbow.  Head over to the
maze of crates on the left side of this new area.  You'll have to be fairly
stealthy in this mission;  if a guard sees you or hears you, they will almost
always manage to set off the alarm, causing you to fail.

Head through the crate pile.  There will be one guard patrolling this left side
a little in front of the first building.  Smack him in the head with a crossbow
bolt when he stands still, and then take his stuff.  Go to the door on the
right side of the first building and press the A button twice to start using
the lock pick.  Once the lock is picked, get your Assault Rifle out.  Open the
door and quickly launch a grenade towards the middle of the back of the room.
It should kill both guards as well as destroy one of the four pieces of
equipment you need to destroy.  If not, walk to the right side of the room and
break it with your hands.  (NOTE:  Sometimes, even though the grenade destroys
it, the box will still have the white outline thing to indicate it is a point
of interest.  If that happens, simply ignore it.)

Head out of that building and around to the back of it.  Procede up the far
left side of this screen.  When you can see the next building, stop and aim
your crossbow at it.  Eventually, another guard will stop in front of it.  When
he stands still, hit him in the head with a bolt from your crossbow.  Then run
to the left side of that building (take the soldier's stuff, of course), and
peek cautiously around the other side of it.  A soldier will stop near a jeep
over there, so pick him off quickly with your crossbow.

Now you can get in the building you're standing next to through the door.  Get
the helmet, throwing knives, and med kit from the lockers, and then go inspect
the body of the soldier by the jeep (as well as the back of the jeep, which has
more bolts for your crossbow).  There is a very small structure nearby, and you
will find a second generator box thing inside.  Unlock the door, and then break
the generator box.

Exit that small structure and turn to your left.  There is another door near
that big truck, so go unlock it.  Make sure you've got your crossbow out, and
then open the door.  Quickly enter the room and run to your left.  Stay behind
the cover of this building, but work your way forward towards the little room
with a door, which contains the third generator box thing.  Wait near the
corner and watch for footstep noises;  there's a soldier standing right around
the corner.  When he starts to walk away, step out and take a careful shot at
his head.  Then unlock the door to the generator thing and destroy it.

You're going to have to sneak up the left side of this area now.  There are
several guards along the right side though, and they will see you if you run
between buildings at the wrong times.  Peek around the corner of each building
to see what the guards are doing, and when they have their backs turned, run
across to the next building.  When you get to the end of the screen, you should
run all the way into the upper-left corner and walk behind that building (which
you will hear some men talking in) to the right side.

Peek around this corner, and you will see another guard patrolling way down
below.  When he turns his back to you, quickly step out and pick him off with
a crossbow shot.  Then unlock the door to this building, and launch a grenade
in it as soon as you open it.  Take all of the equipment in the room, including
the helmet on the table to the left, and break the last generator box if the
grenade didn't do it already.

 - Mission "objective" (The ladders are safe:  you can access the roof) is now
listed in your menu.

Exit this building.  See the door dirctly across the area from where you're
standing?  Run over to it, unlock it, exit through it, and turn to your right.
Turn right around the next corner farther ahead, and then walk straight up to
the door on the other side of the truck by the boxes.  Unlock and open it, and
make sure you're ready to deal with the guard inside.  Enter the area and kill
that guard.

 - Mission objective (Find a passage and infiltrate the base) is now complete.

Open the other door in his area, kill the guard inside, and take the med kit
and throwing knives from the lockers.  Now climb that ladder to the upper in
the previous area.  There's one more guard up here, so pick him off with your
crossbow from a distance.  Run all the way to the end of this area.  There's a
hook that you can use to grappel down the cliff, so get out your grappeling
hook and work your way down to the platform.  Break the grate and work your way
to the other side of this duct to complete this part of the mission.

and stop when you can see the two men talking in the office below.  Once they
leave the room, head to the end of the duct, break the grate, and exit it.

Carrington's Cell 1

Open the door and carefully look to the right with your crossbow.  Pick off the
guard standing there, then switch to your shotgun.  Run down that hallway and
open the first door on your right.  Open the door to the center stall, and kill
the guy in it.  Take both of your last two victims' equipment, and then enter
the room on the right side of that hallway, which has a med kit in it on top of
one of the machines.

Get back in the hallway and look down it with your crossbow's scope.  Two more
soldiers are going to be down there eventually, so pick them off with your
crossbow.  Head down the hallway, and take a right when you can.  Check the
shelves in the room on the right to find some grenades, and then go to the room
on the left side of the hallway.  You'll find some armor and a helmet in the
lockers in that room.

In the next room on your left, you will find a med kit on the top of the boxes.
You'll have to climb up the boxes are your left and work your way around to get
it.  Step back out into the hallway, but instead of entering the last door on
the left, throw a grenade around the corner to your right.  There's a soldier
over there, and the grenade should kill him.  If not, blast him with a shotgun
shell.  Then enter that last room on the left for a med kit and a crossbow.

Get on the elevator and press the button.  On the next floor, there will be two
guards on opposite sides of the area.  Pick them both off with crossbow shots,
or use your shotgun if you want.  Grab their stuff, and then enter the grate
above the pile of boxes in the back of the area.

Carrington's cell 2
-------------------

Climb the ladder to your right when you get inside.  Continue all the way to
the top, taking a right when you get there.  Break the grate to your right at
the end of that small hallway and crawl to the other side.  You'll be in a
weird electrified tunnel.  Look down it with your crossbow, and when a soldier
stops in your view, hit him in the top of the head with a bolt.  Then get your
grappeling hook out, look up, and latch onto the thing up there.  Look down and
watch the electicity.  When it disappears, lower yourself quickly with the B
button.  If the electricity touches you, you will die.  Let go when you get
near the bottom.

Kill the remaining troop on the catwalk in this room, and then search both
bodies for items.  There's a med kit in the corner by the unlocked door, and
there's a hand gun in the area behind the machinery on the left side of the
symbol on the floor.  Enter the unlocked door.  Take the grenade from the left
side of that small room and the keycard from the right side of it.  Now go use
the keycard to open the large double doors in the bigger room.

Toss a hand grenade past the door down the hall to the right.  It should kill
the guard there, but if not, step around the door and blast him with a shotgun
shell.  Then turn around (you should see a big "12" on the wall) and toss a
genade around that corner as well.  It should kill at least one of the two
guards there, but if not, have your shotgun ready to eliminate any survivors.
Head a little farther down this hallway until you see another door with a
keycard lock on it to the right.  Open it and go through.

Carrington's Cell 3
-------------------

Run to the other side of the room and grab the med kit.  Turn towards the room
full of computers, and aim your crossbow in there.  A soldier will walk by, so
hit him in the head when he stops.  Grab his equipment, and have your shotgun
ready.  Go out into the next hallway and use your shotgun on the last soldier
there.  Procede down the hallway until you get to the end, where there are
three doors.  You'll want to open the double ones on the left side of the
hallway first.

Toss a hand grenade or two in that room, and then run in with your hand gun to
finish off any survivors.  raid all of the lockers in the place for a med kits
and ammo/grenades galore.  There's also another Important Document in one of
the lockers.  Once you're sure you've gotten everything, head back to the hall
and turn left.  Open that door, grab the med kit, and then climb the boxes to
get to the grate.  Smash it open and crawl inside yet another duct.

Turn right first and follow the duct all the way to the end, where you will
find a helmet and a med kit.  Then head back and take the left path.  You'll
see a small flashback, and then continue down the duct, taking a right when you
get the chance.  Jump down to the cell area.

 - Mission objective (Find General Carrinton's cell) is now complete.

Walk forward, and take the armor and med kit near those crates.  Unlock
Carrington's cell, and then open the large metal gates to the other half of the
room.

 - Mission objective (Set General Carrington free) is now complete.

Grab the chair next to Carrington's cigars, and when Carrington has the guard
come in the room, smash the chair on him.  Then get your Assault Rifle ready.
Carrington will run to the right down the hallway.  You'll want to go that way
as well, but first, turn to the left and launch a grenade at the two soldiers
there.  Use machine gun bullets to make sure all of them are dead, and then
turn around to find Carrington.  Another guard will most likely be attacking
him, so take care of him.

At the end of the hallway, you'll need to turn right.  Launch a grenade up the
stairs to take care of that soldier, and then head up them.  Turn right and
quickly launch another grenade up that set of stairs to eliminate that guard.
By then, Carrington will have ran up the other side, so turn around and follow
him.  Get to the top and approach him to finish the level.

 - Mission objective (Escort General Carrington to the exit) is now complete.

Follow Carrington until he stops, and then get your crossbow out.  There are
three soldiers outside of the cable-car structure, so pick them off with your
crossbow.  One of them has a helmet on, so one headshot will not be enough to
kill him.  Once they're all dead, take their equipment.

Smash the glass to the small room on the right side of the cable-car building
and take the med kit from it.  Have your shotgun ready, and enter the next room
through the door.  Blast the guard, and take the med kit from this room as well
as the guard's ammo.  Open the next door, and then enter the main cable-car
room.  There are two guards in there, so kill them both.  Take their stuff,
which will include a magnetic keycard.

Head back outside.  There's a second structure near the large truck.  Unlock
the door to the building using your magnetic keycard, then enter the structure.
Take the med kit from the cabinet on the right, and then take the Fuse from the
table at the back of the room.

Three soldiers will attack the building.  Eliminate them all, take their
equipment, and then head back to the right side of the cable-car structure
where you got the two med kits earlier.  In the second room, there's a box on
the wall near the door.  Examine it and put the Fuse in.

 - Mission objective (Put the fuse in the circuit-breaker) is now complete.

Head to the left side of the cable-car station, where there's a staircase
leading to the roof.  Climb up there, and work your way around to the small
structure on the corner.  Open the door and flip the switch inside to activate
the cable-car.

 - Mission objective (Activate the cable-car) is now complete.

Head inside the center part of the building and find Carrington down by the
cable-car.  Two more troops will attack you from behind, so take care of them.
Then talk to Carrington again to receive a Sniper Rifle.  Enter the cable-car
to finish the level.

 - Mission objective (Rejoin Carrington in front of the cable-car cabin) is now
complete.

 - Mission objective (Use the cable-car to leave the base) is now complete.

When you get the chance, take your Sniper Rifle out.  When the scene gives you
control of your character again, you'll be looking down in the direction of a
truck.  Use the Sniper Rifle to pick off the soldier on top of the truck first,
since he has a rocket launcher.  Pick off the other two soldiers, and then
climb the ladder to the roof of the cable-car.  Turn right when you get to the
top, and use your grappeling hook on the thing in the air.  Use your B button
to lower yourself to the ground.

Cable Car 1
-----------

(Cover Carrington.)

Follow Carrington, and keep your Sniper Rifle ready.  Turn towards the rocks to
your right and pick off the two soldiers that will pop out from behind them.
Then get closer to Carrington, and a soldier with a rocket launcher will
appear on the cliff ledge in front of you.  Snipe him before he fires at you.

Turn around and follow Carrington into the cave.  Use your Sniper Rifle to pick
off the next three guards that attack the cave, and then go grab their ammo,
med kit, and grenades.  Turn pack towards the cave and head for the path to the
right of it.  Another soldier will appear on the cliff to your right, so take
care of him as quickly as you can.

Follow Carrington to the next rock.  Zoom in on the cliff ahead, and kill the
soldier that will appear with the rocket launcher.  Take out the soldier on the
ground below as well, and then run forward again.  When Carrington stops again,
turn around and look up to the cliff ledge on the left.  There will be some
soldiers up there, so kill them all.  Use an AR grenade if you have any, and
then finish the survivors off with bullets.

Follow Carrington towards the chopper.  Kill the two guards attacking Jones,
and then go take control of the mounted gun she's using.

 - Mission objective (Escort Carrington to Jones's helicopter) is now complete.

About a dozen soldiers will attack the chopper.  Hose them all with the machine
gun, but keep an eye to your sides, since some of the soldiers will approach
from there. Once you've killed all of them, let go of the mounted gun by
pressing your B button.  NOTE:  You can't use a med kit while you're still
manning the gun, which means you'll have to press B to let go, use the med kit,
and then grab the gun again with the A button.

 - Mission objective (Delay the enemies) is now complete.

Turn around and approach the chopper to finish the mission.

Head forward and take either of the two paths.  You'll encounter four enemies
at the end of the path (both paths go to the same spot), so eliminate them all
and take their stuff.  Head down the next path, eliminating all of the enemies
along the way.  When you can see the boat, take care of the two men there, and
then grab the med kit and Important Document from the back of the boat.

Head up the next path.  There will be a half dozen enemies near a snowman, so
be careful.  At the end of this path, you'll find a cabin with a med kit inside
it.  Take it, and then kill the man that will come up the path you just came
from.  Take his minigun, and then head back towards the snowman.  There's a
path to the left that leads to the water.  When you get to the edge, jump on
the pieces of ice to make your way to the other side of the water.

Kellownee Lake 1
----------------

Head up the new path, and turn right when you hear a guard talking.  Kill him
and take the med kit he had, then continue down this path.  You'll be
ambushed by five guards.  Use the trees as cover and eliminate them all,
including the one on the upper area.  Grab all of their items, including the
med kit from the guy on the upper area (you can use the fallen tree as a ramp).

Continue to the end of this area, and turn right when you get to the ledge.
Walk over to the waterfall, and then walk to the other side of the water by
walking through the waterfall.  A guard will appear high on a ledge to the
right of the area you just came from, so kill him.  Continue up the next path
until the level is complete.

Grab everything you can off of the large shelf at the back of the room, turn to
the left, and open the chest on the ground to get an M60.  Run into the next
room and pick up the med kit in there, then head back into the main room.  Get
the M60 out and loaded, and start using the windows and door to peek outside,
gunning down any targets you can find.  There will be a lot of them...

After a while, a chopper will come by, so use the M60 to destroy it.  Kill any
remaining troops, and then they will blast a hole in the back of the cabin.
When you hear/see the explosion, run out the hole they just made.

Turn right and grab the med kit from the outhouse.  Kill the two enemies you
see, and procede down the path.  There should be one more guard, and then you

Exit the cell and follow the guard to your right.  Stay right behind him at all
times, and don't stray from his path.  If you do, you'll get smacked by the
guards' batons.  You'll hear some more dialogue, and then you'll be let into
the bathroom.  Run to the back, grab a bottle off of the table, and then smash
it on one of the two guards that will enter the room.  Run to the other table,
grab another bottle, and take care of the second guard.  Pick up the key that
one of them will drop, and use it to open the door to the storage room in the
back of the bathroom.  Enter the storage room.

 - Mission objective (Follow the guards to avoid the baton blows) is now
complete.

Turn right to see the boxes in this small storage room.  Climb up them and go
through the grate at the top.  Head right and follow the vents all the way to
the front-right of the bathroom, jumping across the gap when necessary.  Make
sure you grab the throwing knives in the smaller vent area, and then head out
the vent in the very front-right corner of the room

Get a knife out.  When the guard's back is turned, break the grate, and then
hit him in the head with a throwing knife.  Carefully jump down onto the shelf
below, and then to the sink, so you don't take any damage from the fall.  Grab
all of the items in this room, including the key the guard had.  Unluck the
door, and have your hand guns ready.  Kill the two guards in the next room,
take their stuff, and head up the stair case.

Unlock the door at the top, and then unlock the gate in front of you (you have
to be lined up fairly close with the lock on the left side to get the unlock
icon to appear).  Open the next gate on your left, run to the back of the room,
and open the door there.  Grab the ammo, helmet, med kit, and Important
Document from the shelves in there.  Exit that cell area back to the hallway
and turn left.  Open the next set of cells to your right and find the one that
has a med kit in it.  Get back in the hallway and turn left.  Unlock either the
far left or far right door at the end of the hallway and climb the stairs.

Plain Rock 4
------------

 * NOTE:  There is no Plain Rock 3, as far as I know.  It must be an oversight
with the game save names, just like several that start out with a one instead
of no number.  Dunno.

Open the door at the top of the stairs.  There's a guard patrolling this hall,
so wait for him to turn his back.  Have a knife ready, and as he starts to walk
away, open the gate and stab him in the back of the head.  Two more guards down
the hallway might attack you now, so have your hand guns ready.  Gun them down,
and then gun down the guard on the upper level of the next room.  Unlock the
door when you're done with that.

Enter the room and run to the other side as fast as possible.  There will be
two guards on the upper level near where you entered this room, so turn around
and kill them both.  Then open both of the small closets on the sides of this
room and take everything from inside them.  Head out into the next area
through the gate when you're ready.  There's an elevator in front of you, so
get inside and press the button in the back-left corner of it.

Exit the elevator and gun down the first three guards in the next area.  There
are also two snipers:  One high up on the right side and one in the middle
pillar thing.  Use your Sniper Rifle to deal with them.  Grab the other guards'
equipment and head for the door to the left.  There's a guard behind the door
of the next area, so don't get too confortable.

Head through the execution room and through the next door.  Make your way to
other side, open the door, and turn right.  Crouch to walk through the tunnel,
but be careful.  There's a crazed prisoner on the other side with a magnum.
Kill him as fast as possible, and then turn left.  Climb down the ladder there.
When you hit the water, find the next ladder and climb it to finish the level.

 - Mission objective (Escape from the high-security area) is now complete.

Walk forward to the double doors, open them, and open the next door on your
right.  Grab the med kit from the corner of this room, and then exit back into
the hallway through the door on the left of that room.  Turn right and watch
the scene through the door.  When it's over, turn around alk to the end of the
hallway, turn left, and then take an immediate right.  Open the door in front
of you and blast the guard in the head with your shotgun.  Take his stuff as
well as the keycard in the corner of the room.

Use the keycard to unlock the door where you watched the scene earlier.
Instead of going through it, turn around and make your way back to the other
entrance of the area (near where you started).  This gate will now be
unlocked, so it will open when you walk up to it.  Enter the second door on
your right and take out the guard in that room.  Take all of the weapons and
ammo from the area, and then get back into the hallway.

Take two rights and open the double doors.  Chuck a grenade way down that hall,
and then get your Magnum ready.  Step out into the hallway after the grenade
blows up and gun down any of the surviving guards.  Switch to your shotgun and
enter the first door on your right.  There will be several guards in the next
few rooms, so eliminate them all, take their stuff, and take the med kit from
the last room on this string.  DON'T shoot the doctor.

Get back in the main hallway and take care of any remaining stragglers.  Head
to the opposite end and open the double doors.  Take a right and open the door
on your right, followed by the one on the left in the next room.  Turn to your
right and head for the end of the hallway.  Kill the guard there, and then turn
around to deal with the last guard, who will open a door on the left side of
the hall.  Enter the operating room and use the B button function of the
shotgun (the "bop") to take out the doctor and nurse.  Grab the throwing knives
off of the metal cart.

Several of the morgue droors can be opened, so start opening them.  Once the
three on the right are opened, jump on them until you can crawl in the grate
up top.  Smash it, turn left, and start crawling in.

Doc Johansson 1
---------------

Procede through the duct until you're in an open area.  Stand up, and run
around the outside of the room until the floor gives way.  You'll find yourself
in the first "boss battle" of the game.  You should still have a lot of ammo in
your Magnum, so I suggest using that to take care of the enemy.  Aim for the
head whenever possible, and just try to dodge his knives.  When he gets a
needle out, try very hard to stay away, or he'll inject you with some sort of
drug that will mess you up pretty bad.

Once you've killed him, take the stuff off his body.  There are also tons of
throwing knives around the room for you to take as well as two med kits.  Enter
the small office attached to the operating room and inspect the painting in the
back.  Unlock the safe behind it and take ALL of the contents inside (don't
miss the Important Document).

Unlock the cell with the nurse in it.  Let here unlock the next set of double
doors, and then take her hostage.  Move through the doors all the way back to
the room where you watched the conversation in the very beginning of the level.
In the far corner of that room, there's another door that you haven't been in
yet.  Drag your hostage in there, and then knock her out by pressing the A
button.  If you have a grenade left, use it to kill all of the soldiers that
were following you, and the mission will be complete.

Canyon 1

Grab the med kit right next to the nurse, and then turn around.  You'll see a
grappeling point up in the air on the other side of the canyon.  Use your hook
to climb up.  Keep your eyes peeled for soldiers on the high ledges as well as
on the ground.  Move your way to the next grappeling point, and watch out for
the sniper directly above it.  Kill him and take his ammo when he falls.

Grappel to the top of this ledge and continue forward.  Stop short of the
(tempting) table of equipment.  Have your Sniper Rifle ready and peer around
the rock formation to your left to snipe the first rocket troop.  Peer farther
around to the left to take out the second one (a little higher up), and then
grab the equipment on the table.  Move forward a little and peer around the
rocks to the right this time to eliminate the third rocket troop.

Continue down the canyon.  One guard will be walking around down here, so kill
him before he causes any trouble.  Start up the hill, and make sure you're
looking forward to avoid the shots of the guard higher up the path.  Kill him,
and then work your way along the rock formations to the checkpoint at the top
of the ledge.

Canyon 2
--------

Get your sniper rifle out and creep forward.  Look to your left at the top of
the cliffs across the canyon.  There are two enemies over there, so carefully
pick them both off.  Switch to your shotgun and drop down into the canyon to
eliminate the third guard on the ground.  Crouch under the rock formation to
crawl to the other side, and turn right to enter the cave/tunnel.

Have your Magnum ready (or Sniper Rifle if you have any ammo left) when you get
to the end of the tunnel.  Kill the rocket troop at the top of the cliff in
front of you, reloading your gun afterwards.  Slowly and carefully look to the
right in the next canyon area.  There's another rocket troop a little to the
left of where the chopper is hovering, so pick him off before he blasts you.

Enter the canyon and head down the left path to find a med kit on a crate.
Turn around and head up the ramp now, grabbing the second med kit on the barrel
in front of you.  Turn to the right and kill the guy across the canyon from
you, and also step around the mining cart to kill the guy on the left.  Now
get close enough to the wire thing to get an icon that looks unfamiliar to you.
Press the A button when that icon shows up to find out what it does.

Turn left and use the next wire thing to get to where you killed the last
guard earlier.  Grab his sniper armor as well as the rockets, armor, and med
kit from the area.  Take the rope back to the other side of the cliffs, and
turn to your right.  When you get to the next wire thing, don't grab it yet.
Instead, walk a little past it and kill the guard there.  Take his ammo and the
rockets on the ground near him.  Then use the wire thing to get to the other
side of the canyon.

Canyon 3
--------

Look towards the ground of in the canyon and pick off the guard before he fires
a rocket at you.  Walk down there and take the equipement once the guard is
dealt with.  You'll want to head over the next little hill, but there are
about a dozen enemies over there.  Luckily, you now have a rocket launcher and
quite a few rockets.  Get the bazooka out and crawl to the top of the hill.
Launch a rocket at the troops there, and duck behind the hill again before it
blows up.  Repeat this process several times to get rid of most of the enemy
troops, and then finish off any survivors with your other weapons.

Grab as much of the troops' equipment as you can and procede through the
canyon.  Head up when you get the chance.  There will be two more guards to
pick off up here.  Finally, grab the last wire thing, enter the mine, turn to
your left, break the boards, and walk forward to complete the mission.

Canyon 4
--------

Break the boards, turn right, break the second set of boards, and then get your
bazooka out.  There are two guards on the canyon floor below you, and you'll
be able to get a lot more rockets soon, so use your bazooka to eliminate the
two guards.  Then use the rope thing to get to the other side of the canyon.
Take as much equipment as you can from the small pile here, and then walk to
the bottom of the canyon on the tracks.

Pick up the two enemies' equipment and continue through the canyon.  Have your
sniper rifle ready and use it to pick off the troop that appears in front of
you down the canyon.  Drop down a little and continue forward.

Canyon 5
--------

Head forward with your Sniper Rifle ready.  There will be two bazooka troops
and a third troop high on the cliffs ahead, so pick all three of them off.
Look up to find a spot to use your grappeling hook, and use it to get on the
high ledge.  Work your way around to the gap where the guy jumps across.  Kill
those two guys, and then jump across like the other guy did.  Turn right on the
other side and use your rocket launcher to kill as many of the nearby soldiers
as possible.  Head back to the spot where you jumped across when you're ready,
and instead of jumping across again, slide down the rocks to the left of the
split.

Canyon 6
--------

Creep forward along the ledge you're on and kill the soldier in front of you.
Head over there and take all of his stuff as well as the stuff from the other
dead guy, and then get your bazooka out.  There are two soldiers on the canyon
floor, so eliminate them both.  Head back to the other side of the ledge and
use the stair-like rock formation to get to the canyon floor.  Pick up the
fallen guys' equipment, and then climb the next two ladders.

Kill the guard in the next area, and then turn to your right.  Break the light
colored spot in the bricks on the wall to find some ammo and a pair of med kits
in a secret spot.  Continue to the ladder, but don't climb it all the way.
You'll be warned that two soldiers are in the area.  Take care of the one in
the window on the left side of the structure first, since he has a rocket
launcher, then take care of the guy in the window on the right.

Climb the ladder now and hug the ledges to your left.  There's a med kit there,
so grab it.  Continue to the right, and there will be a guard with a Kalash.
Kill him and take his stuff, then turn left.  DON'T try to open a small square
thing on the ground if you find it.  It'll blow up if you open it, and it hurts
quite badly.  Walk towards the next ladder, but be prepared to blast the guy
that comes out of his hiding spot near it.

Climb the ladder and turn right, then right again.  There will be another guard
in front of you, so kill him.  Enter the area he was in and turn left.  Break
the boards, crawl through this area, and you will come out near a plane.
Carefully drop down to it, and then turn around to take care of the guard high
up on the cliff.  Walk around the plane to complete the mission.

 - Mission objective (Jones has hidden an airplane away.  Find it) is now
complete.

Swimming can be difficult when you first start, so here's a few tips:  To get
to the top of the water, push back on your C stick to look up, and then press
forward on your left stick to "swim" up.  Stay looking up to float.  To
submerge, look down at the water, and then press forward.

Also, when traveling through the various water pipes, you'll always want to
swim in the opposite direction that the arrows on the pipes are pointing.  I
only mention this because some spots can be confusing as to which pipe you came
in from.

Sewage
------

Swim towards the search light in front of you.  Get all the way against that
cliff and submerge.  There's a pipe under the water there, so start swimming up
it.  Turn right at the end, and then get to the top of the water once you're
out of the pipe.  Stay under the catwalk until the soldiers leave the room, and
then use your grappeling hook to pull yourself out of the water.

Find the switch on the terminal on the other side of the room, flip it, and
then grabchair near the switch.  Hide behind the terminal until that guard gets
close, and then smash him with the chair.  Take his stuff and jump back into
the water.  Get in the next pipe under water (the arrows should be pointing in
the opposite direction you're swimming in) and start working your way through
it.

Take a right as soon as you can and surface to get some air.  Listen to the
conversation, and then get back in your pipe.  Turn right and swim all the way
to the end of the pipe.  Listen to the men talk, but don't let them see you.
When they're done, head to the right and find the small square grate.  Smash it
open and crawl through it to finish the mission.

SPADS Camp 1
------------

Head forward and dive in the water when it gets deep enough.  Go through the
small tunnel thing, and climb the ladder to your left as soon as you see it.
Watch the short scene, and then enter the next room.  Grab the crossbow bolts
and the hand gun silencer from the cabinets.  Get your crossbow ready and open
the next door.

There's a guard in the watchtower, and he should be your first target.  Get a
headshot on him, and then pick off the idiot that's singing in front of the
tower.  Keep your eyes on the door across the area from where you are.  Two
guards will come out of there, so pick them both off before they can do
anything.  Turn left and take care of the last soldier between the buildings,
and then take the Important Document and med kit from the small structure on
the far side of the screen.

Head for the next door out of this area.  There's one more soldier in this
room, so use your crossbow or another weapon to take him out.  The next large
area has three guards patrolling it.  First, use the crossbow on the guard in
the little brick structure in front of you.  Then wait for the next guard to
stop near the door where you're waiting.  When he stops, step out and hit him
in the back of the head with a crossbow shot.  Take his ammo, and then go grab
the stuff in the small brick structure.

Head passed the square pipe things to the back side of the brick structure.
Grab the ammo on the crate, and then use your crossbow to take care of the last
soldier near the other door.  Enter the door.

------------
SPADS Camp 2
------------

Open the door and enter the next area.  Being seen doesn't make you fail this
mission, so just get your Assault Rifle out.  Go behind the building to your
left and listen to the two guards chat.  When they're done, step around the
corner and gun them down.  Many more will come running, so use the building as
cover and eliminate them all.  Don't forget to pick off the guard in the search
tower, either.  Once they're all dealt with, go around and collect their ammo
and equipment.

Head through the next door, and you'll be in another garage room.  Turn left
and take the ammo and med kit, and then open the next door.  Use the crossbow
to take down the guard right in front of you.  Then take out the guard in the
tower.  Head to your right and take care of the soldier patrolling in the
corner.  Finally, take care of the guard in front of the beige tent.  Now go to
all three of the downed soldiers, pick up their bodies one by one, and carry
them to the tent in the corner where you killed the second guard on the ground.
No one should see them here.

Enter the front of the beige tent and place the microphone on the speaker (you
can access the microphone by pressing left or right on the D pad), and then
quickly run to the corner of the tent.  Crouch and enter the small path here.
Work your way to the back of the tent and take the med kit and Important
Document.  Now just watch the scene inside the tent.


 - Mission objective (Discretely eliminate the SPADS around the beige tent) is
now complete.  (It doesn't say it, but it is.)

 - Mission objective (Hide the spy microphone in Colonel MacCall's tent) is now
complete.

Go back through the side passage of the tent and grab the Important Document
and keycard off of the table.  Exit the tent through the front and make your
way to the door that was locked earlier.  There will be one guard there, so
use your crossbow on him.  Unlock the door and enter the next garage area.

SPADS Camp 3
------------

Open the door out of this garage area, and you'll see three soldiers.  Wait for
them to split up, and then wait for the one that goes left to get inside the
small structure.  Use the crossbow to take care of him, then run to the little
area to your right.  Peek around the side to your left and kill the guard in
front of that door.  Hit the guard in the tower next, and then start picking
off the rest of the guards patrolling the room.

In the far corner by the jeeps, you'll hear a small conversation about smoking.
Kill the two guards that were talking, unlock the door they were guarding, and
enter the area.  Kill the guard that will shortly come by, and then grab all of
the equipment on the bench to the right of the door.  Head through to the next
small room and exit it through the door in the back-right of it (it's very dark
in there, so you might have trouble seeing it).  There's a small spot in front
of you now to place a bomb, so use your D pad to select the bomb and place it
to complete the level.

 - Mission objective (Find Steve Rowland's military file and blow up the
ammunition hanger) is now complete.

Kill the guard directly in front of you, and then immediately run forward and
to your left.  There's a mounted machine gun in the brick rubble over there.
Grab it and keep your eyes forward.  A half dozen troops are going to advance
on you, so use the gun to slaughter them all.  When they've been dealt with,
let go of the gun, grab the AR grenades near it, and start raiding the bodies
for equipment.  This includes the bodies of the the soldiers killed by the
explosion (both sides of it, including one in the jeeps).

Exit the room into the garage area.  Turn left and grab the med kit on the
crates to your right.  Exit through the next door and be prepared to deal with
another set of guards.  Raid them for equipment, and then head for the door in
the upper-left of the area.  Three more guards will be here, so use a grenade
to kill them all at once.  Grab their stuff and enter the next garage area.
head left and grab the med kit and AR grandes near the door.  Oepn the door and
head through it when you're ready.

MacCall 1
---------

Enter the area and head for the small structure on the right.  There's another
Important Document on the table in there, so grab it.  Procede to the next
exit from this area, kill the guard that opens the door, and then enter the
next area.  Kill the two guards in here and take their stuff, then head for the
next garage area on the left.  Enter it, get your Assault Riffle ready, and
open the next door.

Fire at MacCall as you run at him.  He'll retreat behind the next row of
buildings.  Turn left and get on the far side of the last building there.  Wait
until MacCall comes to you in the corner, and start hitting him with AR
grenades when you have the chance.  It only takes one direct hit to kill him,
but it's fairly hard to do in one try.  Just unload on him if necessary.

When he's dead, inspect his body to find some items, including a key.  There's
a huge gate in this area, and it will now be open a little.  Go over there,
step inside the gate area, and turn to your right.  Use the key to unlock that
door, and the mission will be complete.

Submarine Base

Open the door in front of you and hose the two guards with your assault rifle.
Go down the hallway and hose the next two idiots too.  Raid the storeroom they
were guarding for some armor, a helmet, some bolts, a couple med kits, and an
Important Document.  Go back into the hallway and open the next door when
you're ready.  You can save yourself some time and effort if you make it
through the next area before any of the gates close, so be prepared to do
things quickly.

Four guards will walk to the right.  Their tight formation will be quite
convenient for you if you have an assault rifle grenade.  Blast them with it,
but make sure you aren't close enough to hit yourself.  Use the assault rifle
to deal with any of them that survive, then grab their equipment.  Head for the
far end of the room and run under the dropping gate.  Take a left, then a right
along the lower level.  Run through the next falling gate too, and you'll reach
the first checkpoint.

Submarine Base 1
----------------

Take a right and find some cover.  A half dozen or so soldiers are going to
approach from the far side of the room, and you'll need to kill them all.  Use
your assault rifle, and make sure you stay behind cover.  When they've all been
dealt with, grab their equipment.  Use the nearby truck to jump on the high row
of crates in the room.  You'll find some assault rifle grenades and some
regular grenades up there.

Head down to the door where the enemies came from earlier.  There's a med kit
behind the crates to the right, so grab it.  Then head down the other side of
this area.  There's a pile of crates against the wall, and in the middle of the
pile are some more grenades and a med kit.  Grab all that stuff, then head back
to the door and head up the stairs.

Kill both of the guys at the top of the stairs, then head forward until you see
a door on your right.  Open it and take a left.  Use your grappling hook to
drop down to the floor, then get your assault rifle out and clear the guards
out from the area.  There's a ladder on the wall near the middle of the room on
the right side.  Climb all the way to the top and take a left.

Break the grate on the vent, then crawl inside.  DON'T get too close to the end
of the vent, or you'll fall to an untimely demise.  Instead, creep up to it and
check the top to find another grapple point.  Use it to lower yourself to the
floor.  Be prepared for another fight with another large group of enemies.  You
should have plenty of assault rifle grenades, so launch two of them at the
middle of the enemies to slaughter most of them.

Enter the submarine hanger and deal with any surviving troops.  Grab as much
equipment as you can find, then jump in the water on the right side of the sub.
Swim towards the back of it, and use the ladder on the side to climb on top of
it.  Crawl down the hatch to finish the level.

 - Mission objective (Infiltrate the submarine before it leaves) is now
compelte.

Head through the door on the right, then drop down the ladder in the next room.
Open the door on the right here, and wait for the guard directly above the
walkway to start walking away from you.  When he's half-way to the other side,
quickly run to the middle of the walkway where the large cylinder will block
the second guard's view of you.  Wait there until the first guard turns around
again, then run to the left corner by the next door.  Open it and head through
once the first guard starts to walk away again.

Open the next door and wait for the Captain to enter.  There's a grunt working
on an electric box down there.  Sneak up on him after the Captain leaves, grab
him from behind, and knock him out.  Avoid the guard on the floor above you
while making your way around the room to the door on other half of the U-shaped
area.

Open the door in the next small room, and you'll find yourself in another
catwalk area.  Wait for the guard on the left to start walking away from you,
then run to the middle of the room.  Wait for that guard to turn around and
head back, then run forward through the next door.

Take the ladder up and open the door.  Wait for the guard on the right to start
walking away from you, then creep up behind the guard in front of you.  Grab
him and drag him back to the small area you were just in before the other guard
comes back.  Knock this guard out, and wait for the second guard to walk away
again.  Run to the middle of the room and use the cylinder as cover, then head
for the door when the guard turns around again.

Head through the left door in the next square room.  There's a guard at the end
of the catwalk in the next area.  No one else is around, and he's kinda hard to
sneak up on... so instead, wait around the corner for him, then tag him in the
head with handgun shots until he's dead.  Enter the door on the left to start
a cutscene.

Head down the stairs in the cutscene, then take a left and follow the hallway.
When the scene is over, head for the red button by the radio.  Press it to
complete a mission objective and reach a checkpoint.

 - Mission objective (Find the radio and contact Jones) is now complete.

Submarine 2
-----------

Open the door on the right, then wait for the guard in the next area to start
walking away from you.  Approach him slowly so you don't alert him, then grab
him and knock him out.  Head for the officer's cabin at the end of the area.
Enter it, then close the door.  When you look at the door, there's a black
cover thing over a small closet on the right.  Open that up, then get inside.

 - Mission objective (Hide in the officer's cabin) is now complete.

Submarine 3
-----------

Open the black thing to exit the closet, then grab one of the items off of the
table.  Face the door, and when it opens, smash the guard with your item.
Run out into the hallway and get a handgrenade ready.  Chuck it into the room
at the end of the hall, then get your assault rifle out.  Deal with any guards
that survived the grenade, then grab the armor, healmet, med kit, and ammo from
the area to the right of the door.  There's also a shelf full of assault rifles
on the left side of the door if you need ammunition.

Head out to the next room and go to the left side to grab the med kit off of
the shelf.  A few more guys are going to try to enter the room from the next
door, so eliminate them.  Enter the next room and grab the med kit and assault
rifle ammo from the wall, then go out to the left side of the catwalk in the
next area.

Run at the door, and a guard will open it.  Kill him, then immediately turn
around to deal with another guard coming out of the door you just came through.
Once he's dealt with, turn around again and approach that door for a second
time.  Two more guards will come in from the next room, and another two will
come in from the room on the right.  Make sure you eliminate them all carefully
before you enter the area.  Grab the med kit from the shelf on the left, then
collect as much equipment from the downed guards as you can.  Exit out the left
side of this room.

Enter the small room in front of you, but don't drop down the ladder yet.
Instead, toss a grenade into the upper right corner down there.  It should kill
the guard, but be prepared to fire as you jump down, just in case.  Once you're
down that ladder, head down the next one as well to reach another checkpoint.

Submarine 4
-----------

Grab the med kit from the wall, then open either door.  Kill the guard, then
turn around and deal with the guard from the opposite side.  Head through next
area and open one of those doors.  Eliminate the guard, then turn around to go
through the other side.  There will be another guard, so get rid of him, then
kill the two assault rifle guards that will attack from opposite directions.

Head to the end of the hall and enter the next small square room.  Grab the
med kit from the wall, then open the door on the right to advance.  Slaughter
the two guards in here, grab the full med kit from the high shelf and the armor
from the shelf in the shadows, then open the door on the left.  Launch an
assault rifle grenade at the back-right corner of the room to kill the two
guards behind the tables, then enter the room and turn right to kill the third
guard crouching near the door.  Grab their stuff, then exit through the door
behind the upturned tables.

Unless you've been wasting your assault rifle grenades on stupid targets, you
should have four or five of them.  Two close grenades are enough to take
Edelbright down, but don't hesitate to blast him with the bullets while you're
launching grenades.  When he's dead, raid him for all of his items, as well as
the other guards that were in the room.  Use your new Key to head up through
the hatch in the middle of the room.

Take either of the next ladders up, grab the Important Document from the shelf,
then head back down the ladder.  Enter the door on the left, then open the next
door too.  There are four guards in the bridge area, so deal with them all and
collect their equipment.  The Captain's room is in the back-right of this area,
so enter it and grab all of the items from his desk.

 - Mission objective (Find the torpedo lock key) is now complete.

Backtrack to the room with three ladders and head down.  A white box will show
up on your screen to highlight the location of the torpedo tube you need to
open with your new key, so head over there and unlock it.  Be prepared to turn
to the right after you do that, since two guards will come through the door.
Kill them both, grab their equipment, and head through the torpedo tube.

 - Mission objective (You've been spotted!  Escape through the torpedo airlock)
is now complete.

Sabotage

Look around above the surface for a ladder and climb out of the water.  There
are only a few failry pooprly-armed guards in the next area, so head through
and kill them all.  At the end of this part of the storage area, go around the
last row of crates through the narrow passage, kill the last guard, and use the
ladder to get on the catwalk.

Jump from the catwalk to the top of the crates in the main area.  You can pick
up two harpoon guns, a med kit, and some grenades from the top of the crates.
Go out of this area through the small ledge near the water to walk around to
the next area.

Take a right and deal with the first guy, then check all the way in the back of
the right side to find another guard guarding some equipment behind the large
crate.  Kill him, take his stuff, and head up the side of the storage room.
Grab the helmet and armor from the crate at the end of this section, then enter
the next part of the storage area.

There are several guards in this part, so just starting hosing them all.  Stay
behind cover, and don't go too far into the room.  One guard will come out of a
door on the lower level, and another will come out of a door on the catwalk to
the right.  Once they're all dead, raid them for items, then climb the ladder
in the back-right of the area.

Enter the door before the next ladder to take a med kit and a crossbow, then go
up the ladder.  Turn to the left at the top, deal with the guard, and flip the
switch on the control pannel.  Take cover and get your crossbow out, then snipe
the three guards that will start shooting at you from up high in the area.
When they're dead, carefully jump to the moving platform, then use your hook to
swing over to the control terminal area.

----------
Sabotage 1
----------

Take all of the items from this area and press the button on the console.

 - Mission objective (Open the flood-gates and leave the hangar) is now
complete.

Jump out of the terminal area into the water, then place the explosives on the
propeller.  Immediately turn to the right and surface, then use the ladder to
get out of the water.  Head behind the boxes and wait for the explosives to
detonate.

 - Mission objective (Sabotage the submarine's propeller) is now complete.

A soldier will appear next to the truck near you, so either jump in the water
before he fires or just kill him.  Your next destination is the flood gates at
the other end of the water, so jump in and dive to start swimming over there.

Use your harpoon gun to eliminate any divers that get in your way.  SUrface for
some air at the end of the hanger, then dive again and enter the flood gate on
the right.  After a while of swimming through it, there's a little hole that
leads up.  Try to surface there to end the mission.

Jump up the boxes that form a ramp, jump through the window at the top, and
climb down the ladder.  Open the cabinets and raid the shelf for items, then go
out the door and run to the far end of the catwalk.  Take the ladder down at
the end and carefully approach the talking guards.  Listen if you'd like, then
blast them.  Three more will come in from behind them, so deal with all of them
as well.

Head towards the front of the storage area where the main door is.  Eliminate
the guard in front of the small structure, then deal with the guards that come
through the large door when it opens.  Raid the small structure for an Assault
Rifle and some grenades, then turn and go under the catwalk.  Enter the fenced
area to find some armor, a helmet, and some other items, then turn around and
run to the far end of the storage area.

Grab the ammo on the right side, then head for the ladder in the back-left.
Take the med kit from the box near the ladder, then climb both of the small
ladders to reach the terminal at the top of the catwalk.  Take the bolts, then
enter the terminal and flip the switch.  Use the grappling points in the room
to swing all the way to the other side, where you'll find a med kit and a
bazooka with some rockets.

Carefully get back down to the floor, then head out the main door and take a
right.  Take care of the soldier in the guard tower first, then take out the
two soldiers on the ground.  Raid the place for items (there are a lot of
grenades and a med kit), then open the door and climb the guard tower.  Take
the equipment from it and flip the switch, then climb back down and jump on the
boxes to go through the new hole in the wall.

Climb the ladder in this area to find another bazooka, then get your assault
rifle ready and open the door on the lower level.  Launch a grenade as soon as
you open the door, then run in and take out the survivors.  Two guys will try
to run across the catwalk on the other side of the room, so kill them.

No it's time to raid the place for items.  There's a bazooka inside the small
room in the back of the hanger, ammo on the table to the right of the room,
rockets in the fenced area on the left side of the room, and a keycard, helmet,
and armor in the area at the end of the catwalk.  Use the ladder near the plane
to get on the catwalk, grab those items, then jump down and use the keycard to
open the door behind some crates near the plane.

-----------
Quay 33 - 1
-----------

Run forward and take the med kit from the crate.  Stay behind these boxes until
you hear the chopper stop firing machine gun bullets, then step out and fire a
rocket at the chopper as soon as it stands still to fire missiles.  Immediately
get back behind the crates after you fire, then switch sides of the crates and
wait for the chopper to stop firing again.  Hit it with another rocket, and
then repeat the process.

It'll take seven rocket hits to drop the chopper.  You should have exactly
seven rockets when you start the fight.  If you miss, there are rockets
scattered around the area.  The easiest ones to reach are on a small box near
the crates you're using as cover, on the right side.

Once the chopper is downed, you can either search the place for items (which
includes a hoard of items inside the mechanics area attached to the hanger) or
you can just run past the chopper and end the mission.  The items you find will

To make the beginning of this mission as easy as possible, you'll need to move
fast.  Open the first door on your right, grab the broom, then head down the
hallway and use it on the female guard that enters from the left.  Drag her
back to the closest where you found the broom and close the door behind you.

Head down the hallway again and open the first door on the right.  Take the
broom from this room, then turn around and enter the hallway again.  Open the
double doors on the other side of the hallway, then run in and smash the broom
on the guard.  Pick him up and go back into the hallway.  Open the door across
from the ones you just came out of, dump the guard, and grab the chair.

Go back into the room you just came from and take a left.  Open the door in the
back of the room, turn right, open the next door, and smash the female guard
with your chair.  Pick up the next chair from that room and turn around.  Head
back towards the double doors you used to get into the hallway.  There will be
one more guard out there now, so use the chair to knock him out.

Go back a few rooms to the one with all the lockers.  Raid them all for items
and an Important Document, then enter the second room with lockers (where you
knocked out the female guard).  Grab the key from one wall, and open the locker
on the far right for an item, then pick up another chair.

Head out the next door into another hallway.  Wait at the junction for a guard
to wonder near you, then knock him out with the chair.  Carry him down the
hallway to the second door on the right, dump him in there, and take the med
kit from the chair.  Go back into the hallway and take a left.  Use your key to
open the last door on the right side of the hallway.

 - Mission objective (Spy on the meeting from room 41) is now complete.

Run straight forward until you're touching the window (on its far left side).
Use your D-Pad to select the microphone, then aim it with your R button.  Keep
Winslow in your site until the others enter the room, then continue keeping
Winslow in site until the conversation ends.

Grab the med kit from the bed near you, then go back out into the hallway.
Turn to the right, take out the two guards, then go through the open door.
Open the panel on the right and flip the switch to shut down the elevators.

 - Mission objective (Cut the power supply to the elevators!) is now complete.

Exit the control room and take a left.  Go through the large double doors
directly in front of you.

Raid this area for items on all the fallen FBI agents and conspirators, then
get in the elevator shaft where an FBI guy is standing.

 - Mission objective (Help the FBI agents) is now complete.

Climb the ladder, then duck and crawl through the vent.  Grab the med kit from
the corner of the open area, then shoot the glass and jump down.  Use your
magnum to make short work of the guard and Winslow.

 - Mission objective (Eliminate Winslow) is now complete.

Grab all of the items Winslow had on him, including a key and a Document.  Use
the key to open the locked door.  Look to the left down the first hallway and
hit Willard with a few magnum shots, then enter the large main area and wait
for him to come out of the attached conference room.  Hose him with the magnum
when you can, then take everything he drops to end the mission.

Turn a little to the left and look for a vertical strip of brown hedges along
the hedge row in front of the van.  Get close to it, crouch, and break through
them to the other side.  Get your knives out and take a right through the
garden paths.  Peek around the corner when you hear a guard talking, wait for
him to cross to the right side, then run up behind him.  You can instantly kill
helmet-less guards with the B function of the knife if you hit them in the
head, so aim up a little and kill him.

Take his stuff and turn around.  Head down the path in front of you and turn
left when you get the chance.  Kill that guard, take his stuff, and turn around
to continue down the path on the left.  Carefully peek around the corner.  Two
guards are in the next area, one that you should see in front of you, and one
around the corner on the right.  Wait for the one you can see to start walking
away from you, then run out and turn right.  Deal with the second guard, then
turn around and deal with the one that was walking away.

If you made any noise during that, a third guard will attack, so be ready to
deal with him.  If not, take all the items nearby and continue down the open
path.  A guard will report in (if you didn't attract him earlier), so wait on
the top of the stairs for him to approach, then knife him on the top of the
head.

Get your crossbow out and peek around the last corner to the left to see the
first fountain area.  There are two guards in here:  One is walking to the door
on the far right of the area, and the second is behind the fountain.  Wait for
the first guard to start walking to the right, then run into the area and turn
left.  Get behind the bushes and look to the back of the fountain using your
crossbow.  When the guard stops at the entrance of the hallway, arrow him in
the head.  Immediately turn to the right and pick off the second guard near the
stairs.  Grab his equipment, then head through the hallway where the other
guard was.

Pick up a brick if you want to have a little fun, then run up the stairs and
use it to knock out the guard.  Head down to the little pond and jump in it.
Break the grate out, then swim to the bottom and work your way through the
secret passage to the next exit.  Dont' surface, or two guards will see you.
Sit there and listen to their conversation, then jump out and kill them.
(Note that it's easiest to jump out and kill them right when they start to look
at the chopper.)

Jump out of this area through the small hole in the hedges that leads to a rock
cliff.  Carefully work your way forward a little to reach the next checkpoint.

Get your grappling hook ready and carefully move along the edge of the cliff.
When you get to the gap, look up and use your hook to swing across.  Jump up on
the ledge in front of you and smash through the brown hedges, then enter the
next fountain area.  Run to the right and duck behind the bushes in the corner.

Once the lower guard walks all the way to the door on the opposite side of the
area, hit him in the head with an arrow.  Turn to the left and pick off the
next guard on the stairs when he stands still.  Take their equipment, then pick
up the bottle on the stairs.  Use it to deal with the guard on the right side
of the upper area, then quickly eliminate the two remaining guards on the left
side in whatever manner you can manage.

Raid the back area on the left side for some grenades, a med kit, and some
crossbow bolts, then head through the path on the other side.  Enter the church
and get behind the cross, then push on it until it falls.  Jump down the hole
it creates to end the mission.

Get your knives out and stab the guard in the hallway on the left to reach the
next checkpoint.

Walk into the main corridoor and listen to the conversation.  Head to the right
and take care of the next guard hiding in the first entry way on the right.  Go
up the stairs next and eliminate the guard there, then head to the left side of
this area and go through that door.  A guard will be right in front of you, so
take care of her, then turn to the right and take care of the second one.

He will have a key on him.  Take it, then open one of the doors nearby to get
back to the main corridoor.  Go up the next stair case, then head for the gate.
Use your key to unlock it, and open the drawer on the desk in the next room to
find a Magnetic Card.  Go back out and down the stairs, then open one of the
doors there and use the key card to open the large door in there.

Use your other grenade to toss it down at the two guards talking.  Make sure
you hold it long enough so it will explode as soon as it hits the ground.  Take
their stuff, then go through the small hallway in the corner of the painting
area.  Take the med kit, then examine the three discolored stones on the wall
to find an Important Document and Part of a Statue.

Turn around to leave, but wait for a few seconds.  One guard will run into the
room to attact you, so gun her down as soon as she does.  A second guard will
be waiting for you on the right side as soon as you re-enter the painting room.
Turn around the corner quickly and shoot her, then put the statue piece into
the statue in the middle of the room.  Head down the stairwell that opens to
complete the level.

Run through the first room to the next hallway, wait for the guard to walk away
from you, then run out and take care of her quietly.  DON'T FALL in the water,
or it'll really complicate things for you.  Instead, walk over the little
bridge and wait near the corner until the guards stop talking.  When they do,
wait until the first one stands still facing away from you, then run out and
grab him.  Drag him back behind the wall, then wait at the next corner until
the next guard starts to walk away from you.  Run up behind him and grab him
too.

Pick up the nearby shovel and use it to knock out the next guy you encounter,
then get your crossbow out and pick off the fifth guard when she walks into
your sight.  Take a look up in the next area to find a ring thing to use as a
grappling point.  Swing up to the left side ledges first (the side without the
med kit).  Walk around up top to the small hallway with some doors.

The first door will have a guard in it, so neutralize him, then take the
Important Document from there.  Raid the other doors in this hallway, then go
swing over to the other side of the area (the ledge that had the med kit).
Go to the back hallway thing on this side too, and take the items from the
rooms (one will require the lockpick to open).

Use your crossbow to pick off the next two guys on the bottom of the next area,
then jump to the ledge with the med kit on it.  Carefully jump down to the
floor, collect the guards' items, then enter the big area.  Take care of the
two guards near the big doors, since one of them has a med kit on him.  After
that, head up the staircase on the side of the room.

Lockpick the first two doors to open them.  There are two guards behind the
second door, so be prepared to take them both out before they can set off the
alarm.  Check the small room on the left for some armor, then lockpick the
third door and head through.  There's only one guard in this hallway, so deal
with him however you'd like.  Run up the stairs and drop down the hole at the
end.

 - Mission objective (Spy on the meeting) is now complete.

Sanctuary crypt 1
-----------------

Use your grappling hook to repel to the floor (using the bell as a grappling
point).  Take cover behind the alter thing and get your crossbow out.  Two
clan members will be on the floor on the other end of the room, and two sets of
two clan members will attack from the high areas above the guards on the floor.
Eliminate them all, then run back there and use the lockpick to open the door.

Get your double Miniguns out and blast your way through the hallways.  The clan
members aren't well armored or well armed, so there's no need to be too careful
about it.  Use your grappling hook to swing across the gap when you need to,
then open the final door to end the mission.

 - Mission objective (Escape from the sanctuary) is now complete.

This part is fairly straight-forward.  Use your crossbow to snipe all the clan
members and guards along the cliffs, and keep heading forward.  Use your hook
and the various pulley things when necessary.  Be especially careful when
dealing with enemies on the ground, since some of them have grenades.  When
you reach the second pulley thing to slide on, you'll reach a checkpoint.

Use your miniguns to hose all the enemies on the other end of the cliff while
you're sliding along the pulley thing.  Once you kill all of them, the first
objective will be complete, and enemy choppers will approach.

Either kill the occupants or shoot the actual chopper to destroy them.  It's
probably easier to shoot the occupants, since they'll be firing at you the
entire time.

 - Mission objective (Shoot down the enemy helicopters!) is now complete.

Once all of the enemy choppers have been dealt with, a blue FBI chopper will
appear.  Run to the ladder hanging out of it to complete the mission.

Follow Sheridan into the compound.  After a while, you'll be told to leave, and
a guard will escort you.  Follow him all the way back to the area where you
first entered the compound.  You'll need to find another way in, and luckily, a
guard will just happen to come out of the locker room to your right.

Enter the locker room, pick up a broom, and smash it on the guy on the bench on
the left side.  Pick up another broom and smash it on the singing guard.  None
of the lockers have any items, so don't bother openning them.  Use the lockpick
to open the next door, then pick up another item to use on the next guard.

The next guard is inside the control area.  Open the door, run in, and smash
him before he can do anything.  Press the button on the console and take the
key card from the corner, then run out and use the key card to open the door.
Wait for the armed guard that appears to turn away from you, then run behind
him and grab him.  Take his items, then use the key card to open the big metal
door and head down.

Your objective down here is fairly simple.  All you have to do is knock out the
soldiers in the area and hide their bodies so people walking through the halls
won't see them.  Just use the brooms and chairs that are all over the place,
and you shouldn't have any problems.

When you find another glass security control room thing, knock out the guard
inside and press the button on the panel.  The doors to the elevators will
open, so head over there and press the button on the wall.  Get in the elevator
that opens, then press the down button on its wall.  Exit the elevator when it
opens to reach the next checkpoint.

Sneak to your right to avoid the guard in the control room.  Open the first set
of doors next to the control room and walk to the corner.  Wait for the soldier
on the other side of the corner to enter the locker room, then open the door to
the control room.  Grab the chair from there and smash the guard.  Now run into
the locker room and take out that guard before he does anything.

Grab any useable object and continue down the hall.  There are two guards here,
and they will alternate between walking towards and away from each other.
Wait for the closest one to walk away, then get next to the corner.  When he
comes back, wait until the last second, then smash him.  Quickly grab him and
drag him back to the locker room.

Head back down the hallway with another object and take out the other guard,
then drag him back to the locker room too.  Now head for the door at the end of
this hallway.  Wait for the soldier to walk to the vending machines, then run
in there and grab him.  Drag him behind the plants on the left and drop him.

Listen to the conversation.  Eventually, they'll walk away.  If you failed to
hide the soldiers you knocked out earlier, you're going to fail the mission as
soon as one of the men sees one of the soldiers.  If they don't see any, the
final guard outside of the meeting room will walk towards you to use the
bathroom you're hiding near.  Wait until he opens the bathroom door, then grab
him and knock him out.  Enter the meeting room, knock that guard out, then open
the other door in the meeting room and walk inside.

Grab an object and use it to knock the guard out as soon as he walks away from
the door.  There are plenty of other objects around, so keep picking up new
ones and knocking out additional guard until none are left.  Make sure you
enter the storage room before the main conference room, since it has all sorts
of items and equipment for you to take.

Enter the main conference room when you're ready and head for the back.  A few
SPAD guys will attack, so use your double handguns or another weapon to kill
them all.  Don't waste your grenades though - you'll want those later.  Also,
during the fight, a SPAD guy will open the locked door in the front-left corner
of the room.  You can find a med kit in the cabinet in there.

After the SPADS are eliminated, General Standwell will attack you with an M60.
Use your hand grenades and your Assault Rifle grenades to cause a lot of
damage, then use your miniguns to finish him if necessary.  Grab all the stuff
he drops, including a key and a document.

Use the key to unlock the door in the back-left of the conference room.

 - Mission objective (The SPADS have taken the President hostage!  Set him
free) is now complete.

Press the red button on the console to open the next set of doors in the main
conference room, then pick up the president and walk through the doors.

Just drop the president on the ground as soon as you reach the checkpoint.
When you look around the next corner, several guys will attack you.  Eliminate
them all, then raid the kitchen and locker room down the hallway for items.
Pick the president up and proceed to the end of the main hallway when you're

The doors to the next area will open.  Assist the two soldiers in eliminating
the remaining SPAD guys in here, then go through the big metal door they open
for you.

Start by openning the two doors on the left to find a supply room full of
weapons, equipment, and med kits.  Take as much as you can hold, then go use
the lockpick on the door by the hostages.  Get your M60 out and loaded, then
open the double doors in the middle leading to the main control room.

Start hosing SPADs until there aren't any more visilbe, then enter the main
area and take a right.  Hose down any more guys that appear, and be careful
about the ones that walk around the upper catwalk areas.  When no one is left
to shoot at you, start picking up items from people, and don't miss the med kit
on one of the terminals.

Climb the stairs in the corner and take care of the last two guards, then watch
the scene with Wax.

The door to Wax's area will be open now, so step inside and take the items from
him, including a magnetic card.  Run back out to the hallway you first came
through to enter the glass doors of the control room and take a right.  Use the
magnetic card on the lock where the hostages are being held.  Follow Carrington
until he unlocks the door, then enter the next area.

Run through the hallway on the other side.  The orange metal door will close
before you can get through it, so open the smaller door on its left.  Take
another left and open the door to raid another supply closet full of items.
Go back to the kitchen and take the med kit and helmet from the table, then
open the other door leading to the locker room.

Enter the locker room, then immediately turn around.  Break the glass and take
the med kit from the cabinet, then turn around again.  See the big poster on
the wall over there?  Run to it, jump on the bench thing in front of it, and
then break the poster.  Crawl through the tunnel until you reach a metal grate,
then smash it and drop down.

Get up the stairs and lockpick the door, then lockpick the first door on your
left in the new hallway.  Use your shotgun to blast the lock off of the
fencing protecting the machinery, then destroy every single machine in this
area to stop the countdown.

 - Mission objective (Cancel the base's self-destruct procedure) is now
complete.

Take a left in the hallway to find the orange metal door again.  Pull the lever
on its left to make it open, then walk forward to reach a checkpoint.

You won't be able to use the lift thing to get across the missile area this
time, so instead, carefully climb down the giant ladder to the right of it.
You'll have to fight the Mongoose now.  If you've gathered all the equipment I
told you to gather, this will be easy.  Simply use your grenades and Assault
Rifle grenades on him until you run out, then use your M60 to finish him.

Use med kits when needed, and don't worry about using too many.  After a while,
some guards will fall from above, so raid their bodies for items and armor when
you get the chance.  Once you finish the Mongoose, climb the ladder and head
for the elevator.

 - Mission objective (Get back to the exit) is now complete.

 - These are insanely powerful, and a few well aimed shots can bring enemies
down from great distances.  The B function allows for massive damage even if
you don't exactly aim it well.  Thankfully, computer controlled players won't
use the B function.

 - These are found in all over the place in single player mode, and you will
always start with one in multiplayer mode.  (Interestingly enough, you can't
run out of ammunition in the multiplayer mode;  every time you fire a bullet,
another one is added to your inventory.)  In single player mode only, you can
hold one in each hand, which makes them quite effective.  They're more
effective when you can use them against a single enemy, so you can take plenty
of time to aim and get head shots.

Assault Rifle     more, this assaultrifle is fitted with a grenade-

Secondary:  Launches a grenade.  You can hold fifteen grenades in it at a time,
            and if necessary, you can launch all fifteen of them in a very
            short period of time.

 Capacity:  250 bullets and 15 grenades

 - One of the deadliest weapons in the game if there's an ample supply of
grenades for it.  The grenade launcher allows you to wipe out enemies more than
one at a time, and since you can start firing bullets almost immediately after
launching a grenade, it functions as a great clean-up weapon.

-------     Unquestionably the most powerful weapon in
Bazooka     the game.  It can kill large numbers of enemies
-------     with a single shot.  Take care not to fire at too
            close range, if you don't want to injure yourself.

  Primary:  Fires a single rocket that will cause massive damage when it
            explodes.  You can often kill your target simply by landing the
            rocket somewhere nearby.

Secondary:  Your character will bash with a rocket shell.  (Commonly known as a
            "bop.")  This can be difficult to land hits with in multi-player,
            but it can cause more than fifty damage with a direct hit to the
            head.

Clip Size:  1

 Capacity:  8

 - You'll move very slowly when you have this weapon equipped, but you're
pretty much guaranteed a kill (or several) if you're careful with your shots.

  Primary:  Fires a single bolt.  A head shot will be an instant kill (unless
            the target has a helmet).

Secondary:  Zooms the crossbow, making it easier to aim at targets from large
            distances.

Clip Size:  1 or 3 depending on the type of crossbow you have.

 Capacity:  [Unknown]

 - Unfortunately, neither of the crossbows can be used in multiplayer, although
you'll be using them quite often in the single player mode.  There are two
different kinds, one that only has a single bolt before it has to be reloaded
and one that holds three before it has to be reloaded.

Flash Bang

  Primary:  Holds a grenade, which you can then throw.  Hold it too long, and
            it'll blow up in your hand, which will almost certainly bline you.

Secondary:  None.

Clip Size:  1 (you'll have to "reload" after you throw a grenade)

 - These will temporarilly blind anyone that's looking at them when they
explode.  Note that it's completely worthless against computers, since they can
always see no matter what happens.  Also note that blinding someone else in a
multiplayer game can actually cause everyone's screen to look darker, which
can make it harder for everyone to see, not just the blinded player.

Grenade     An ultra-powerful weapon.  Use with
-------     care, otherwise you'll blow yourself up!

  Primary:  Holds a grenade, which you can then throw.  Hold it too long, and
            it'll blow up in your hand, which will definitely kill you.

Secondary:  You can't hold the grenade when you press this, but it will drop it
            on the ground as you run.  This is perfect for leaving a trail when
            you're trying to escape from someone.

Clip Size:  1 (you'll have to "reload" after you throw a grenade).

 Capacity:  16

 - These are common in both the single and multiplayer modes.  They're very
effective if you're careful with them, and multiplayer matches can tend to
degenerate into ridiculous grenade competitions on levels that have an
abundance of grenades.  One dangerous thing to be especially careful about is
the bounce effect.  If you throw a grenade and it hits someone, it will bounce
back towards you, or sometimes straight up in the air.

Harpoon Gun     Though intended for underwater combat, this
-----------     weapon is also highly effective on the ground.

  Primary:  Launches a single harpoon, which will kill underwater enemies in a
            single hit.  Used above the water, it will still damage enemies,
            and a head shot will be an instant kill (if the target doesn't have
            a helmet).

Secondary:  Your character will stab with one of the harpoons.  This is an
            instant kill if you hit someone in the head with it.

Clip Size:  1

 Capacity:  40

 - Unfortunately, this weapon is not available in multi-player.  There're only
two missions on the single player game that I can think of with this weapon in
them (on the submarine and in the base after it).

Hunting Gun     Shotguns for close combat.  They are powerful weapons, but
-----------     this advantage is offset by their fairly low rate of fire.

  Primary:  Fires a single shot.  Devastating if it's at close range, even more
            so if it's a head hit.  Slightly more effective from a distance
            than a regular shotgun, but you're still better off with a handgun
            or an automatic of some form when it comes to long-range combat.

Secondary:  Your character will bash with the end of the weapon.  (Commonly
            known as a "bop.")  This can be difficult to land hits with in
            multi-player, and it doesn't do much damage even if you bop your
            target in the face.

Clip Size:  2

 Capacity:  45

 - This is found in the single player mode and during "The Hunt" in multiplayer
mode.  It's basically just like the shotgun, only it can only load two shots at
a time, and it's slightly more effective from a distance.

Kalash     The favorite weapon of the mercenaries employed by the
------     Conspiracy.  It's equally effective over short and medium range.

  Primary:  Fires a steady stream of bullets until you either stop firing or
            run out of bullets in the clip.

Secondary:  Sets the weapon to "burst" firing.  Every time you pull the
            trigger, you'll fire one burst of a few bullets.  The benefit is
            that it's much easier to avoid losing your aim when you fire like
            this.  The down side is that you might forget you have it set to
            burst, then find yourself holding the trigger down in a battle
            later only to fire a few shots, then stand there uselessly.

Clip Size:  30

 Capacity:  250

 - A decent short or long range weapon.  They become a tad useless if your
target has a helmet and some armor, though.  As with a few of the other weapons
in the game, the computer will be able to use this a lot more effectively than
you can.

Knife     Highly effective in hand-to-hand combat and at short
-----     range.  Much less precise when used from a distance.

  Primary:  Throws a knife.

Secondary:  Stabs with a knife (doesn't expend a knife).  A hit to the head
            will be an instant kill, assuming the target doesn't have a helmet.

Clip Size:  1 (you'll have to "reload" every time you throw one)

 Capacity:  45

 - These are found only in the single player mode.  They're excellent for
stealth combat;  a single B function to the head will instantly kill an enemy,
and a well-aimed A fuction (thrown knife) will also instantly kill an enemy.
They can also be used to cut breakable objects, such as shrubs and grates.

 Capacity:  350

 - Aside from the insane amount of kick you get when you fire it, this is a
great weapon if you have a lot of ammunition for it.  A few shots, especially
at close range, should put an end to anyone nearby.  Unfortunately, your
character will move incredibly slowly while he has this weapon equipped.

 - These are fairly ineffective at a distance, but they can be devastating at
close range (especially when a computer's using it).  They kick pretty bad when
you fire them, which can make it difficult to aim.  I personally suggest you
stick with an assault rifle or a Kalash if possible.

                 eliminating enemies lying in ambush or very far away.

            always be an instant kill.

Secondary:  Zooms in with a scope to make it even easier to snipe targets from
            long distances.

Clip Size:  10

 Capacity:  35

 - These are one of the most effective weapons in the game.  If you can get the
chance to use the scope, you can easily slaughter targets.  In close combat,
good players will easily be able to free-lance with it and score head shots,
which will almost always kill a helmet-less target.  The downside is that
computers are ridiculously accurate with them, can fire them while facing in
the opposite direction of their target, and can jump around while still
perfectly aiming with the scope.
