Hi and welcome to my second guide here on Gamefaqs. In this guide I will
give strategies on how to unlock every achievement in the bestselling 
game Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. I hope it serves you well. Lets get
started.

What this guide will/won't contain                              (Cntnts.)

First of all this guide will be written from a Xbox 360 point of view. It
shouldn't differ that much from the trophies for PS3. This guide will
cover how and when to unlock all the achievements in the game. This guide
will not cover extensive Campaign/Veteran help nor will it give in-depth
strategy for Spec-Ops.

Campaign tips 1) Unless you are going for Veteran achievements or have
some pride left, play on  recruit difficulty, it makes most achievements
easier. 2) Abuse Auto-Aim it makes it the Campaign a breeze. 3) Don't be
a hero! if you're in trouble fall back and let your squad help.

Veteran tips 1) Don't try this if you are still relatively sane. 2) Never
leave cover unless you are sure the area is clear. 3) If some one is
shooting you, get down and recover completely, then return fire.

Spec Ops tips 1) Not all ops are easier with two people, the stealth and
target practice ops can be easier alone. 2) Shoot any dogs you see the
quick-time events can be tricky and if you miss, it is an instant kill on
you. 3) There are no checkpoints in Spec Ops, so take your time 
especially on Veteran mode.

Destroy the jamming tower. Complete "Black Tuesday" on any difficulty.

Beat the first level on any difficulty.

Take back New York harbor. Complete "Hunter Killer" on any difficulty.

Escape the mountain safe house. Complete "Persona Non Grata" on any
difficulty.

Defend the Russian President. Complete "Turbulance" on any difficulty.

Escape Paris with Volk. Complete "Iron Lady" on any difficulty.

Reach the Church. Complete "Eye of the Storm" on any difficulty.

Rescue the Russian President. Complete "Down the Rabbit Hole" on any
difficulty.

Who Dares Wins- 40G

Complete the campaign on any difficulty.

The Big Apple- 25G

Complete "Black Tuesday" and "Hunter Killer" on Veteran difficulty.

Complete the first two levels on Veteran difficulty.

Pro tips: On Black Tuesday, don't be afraid to use the XM25, as you can 
get more ammo for it later. For Hunter Killer, try to pick up a shotgun
as they can be useful in close quarters.

Out of the Frying Pan...- 25G

Complete "Persona Non Grata","Turbulence", and "Back on the Grid"
on Veteran difficulty.

Complete levels 2 through 4 on Veteran difficulty.

Pro tips: On Persona Non Grata make sure to swap your Desert Eagle for
another weapon, like an LMG. On Turbulence, grab an AA12 shotgun and an
AK74u to make things easier. For Back on the Grid, try to hang back and
snipe while Price and Soap take point.

Payback- 25G

Complete "Mind the Gap"," Goalpost", and "Return to Sender" on Veteran
difficulty.

Complete levels 5 through 7 on Veteran difficulty.

Pro tips: On Mind the gap consider picking up a P90 for its large
magazines and high fire rate.For Goalpost make sure to take as much time
as you need, especially when moving up with the tanks. On Return to
Sender, make sure to use the remote chopper gunner as soon as possible.
Wait for it to recharge if you are pinned down.

City of Lights- 25G

Complete "Bag and Drag" and "Iron Lady" on Veteran difficulty.

Complete levels 8 and 9 on Veteran difficulty.

Pro tips: On Bag and Drag try to be careful in the catacombs. Large
magazines and shotguns are recommended. On Iron Lady, when you are
actually playing as Frost, grab the sniper rifle to make things easier.

The Darkest Hour- 25G

Complete "Eye of the Storm","Blood Brothers", and "Stronghold" on Veteran
difficulty.

Complete levels 10 through 12 on Veteran difficulty.

Pro tips: Eye of the Storm is a stealth level, so take your time and
listen to Soap's instructions. Blood Brothers is a difficult level. Use
the grenade launcher and pay attention or you will get blindsided.
Stronghold is easy until you break stealth. After this happens, try to
find an LMG.

This is the End- 25G

Complete "Scorched Earth","Down the Rabbit Hole", and "Dust to Dust" on
Veteran difficulty.

Complete levels 13 through 15 on Veteran difficulty.

Pro tips: On Scorched Earth, use the sniper till you run out of ammo. Be
EXTREMELY careful while escorting the tanks. Stay with your squad on Down
the Rabbit Hole, or you will get owned. Dust to Dust is simple until you
lose the Juggernaut Suit. After this happens, swap your LMG for a Spas 12
or a P90.

The Best of the Best- 100G

Complete the campaign on Hardened on Veteran difficulty.

Beat the campaign on hardened or veteran.

Pro tip: This will unlock automatically with the This is the End
achievement, by itself if you did it on Hardened. Follow the Veteran tips
in the Breakdown section.

Extra Campaign Achievements                                   (Extraach.)
=========================================================================
Stirke!- 20G

Kill five enemies with a single grenade in Single Player or Special Ops

Get a five multi-kill with a grenade.

You can do this on any level so take your pick. A few places that have
enemies grouped together are: On Persona Non Grata, at the beginning when
the enemy Russian forces breach the hospital gate. On Goalpost, while 
moving up with the tanks keep to the right when you can leave the road to
and see a tall building with crater in front of it, hurry to the crater 
and you can catch a spawn of 8-9 guys.

Pro tip: Don't forget to cook your grenade! This may sound stupid but it
is an easy thing to forget.

Jack the Ripper- 20G

Meelee 5 enemies in a row in single player or Special Ops.

Get five knife kills in a row.

Again this can be done on any level, just set the campaign to Recruit and
go Rambo style on them.

Pro tip: Watch your back! If you are among the enemies knifing them, you
are very unprotected against being bashed in the back.

This is my Boomstick- 20G

Kill 30 enemies with the XM25 in "Black Tuesday."

Use the XM25 secondary weapon to kill 30 enemies.

Pro tip: Once you make it to the Stock Exchange, there will be many ammo
crates on the first floor.Run up to the next floor and shoot the XM25 at
everything that moves, then run back and refill your ammo.

What Goes Up...- 20G

Destroy all the choppers with only the UGV's grenade launcher in
"Persona Non Grata."

Use only the grenade launcher on the helicopters while controlling the
assault drone.

Pro tip: Conserve your grenades! the UGV has only about 25 grenades so
save them for the helicopters or you may run out.

For Whom the Shell Tolls- 20G

Destroy all targets during the mortar sequence with only 4 shell in
"Back on the Grid."

Do not miss any targets while using the mortars.

Pro tip: Hold your fire! wait until the targets stop moving before you
fire. Watch the last target because it sometimes seems to not want to die
so easily.

Kill Box- 20G

Kill 20 enemies with the Chopper Gunner in a single run in
"Return to Sender."

Use the RC chopper gunner to kill 20 enemies in a single flyby.

Pro tip: Use multiple flybys! if you don't get it the first time, try
again. if you run out of enemies, use the last checkpoint option for
another chance. (P.S. What does the remote for the chopper look like? Yep
there IS an app for that)!

Danger Close- 20G

Take down a chopper with an AC-130 smoke grenade in "Bag and Drag."

Designate on an airstrike on a chopper to destroy it.

Pro tip: Aim carefully! There is a chopper that will come in to drop
troops in the courtyard area. Throw the smoke designater under the
chopper and ta-da! Achievement unlocked.

Menage a Trois- 20G

Destroy 3 tanks with a single 105mm shot in "Iron Lady."

Use the AC-130's 105mm canon to destroy three tanks at once.

Pro tip: If you look to the right from where your soldiers enter the
square, there are 2 tanks with one on the way, off to the side of the
square. Wait until they meet up, then blast em'.

Nein- 20G

Kill 9 enemies with A-10 strafing runs in "Scorched Earth."

Use A-10 strafing runs to kill a combined total of 9 enemies.

Pro tip: It's not all at once! You don't have to get the nine kills in
one strafing run, just nine kills all together. There is usually a spawn
after you kill the first tank so keep that in mind.

Secret Achievement                                                (Scrt.)
=========================================================================
Flight Attendant- 20G

Kill all 5 enemies during the zero-g sequence in "Turbulance".

Kill the enemies while floating around in the plane on the fourth level
of the campaign.

Pro tip: Don't be afraid to use the last checkpoint option if you mess
up. Also, use 2 machine guns get all the guys.

Spec Ops Achievements                                        (specopach.)
=========================================================================
50/50- 20G

Complete a Special Ops Mission Mode game with the same number of kills as
your partner.

Play Co-op Spec-ops and get the same amount of kills as your partner.

Pro tip: Try to get this on a slow-paced mission, like Hostage Taker.
Remember to use the kill counting thing to help out.

Birdie- 20G

Kill 2 enemy helicopters without getting hit in a Special Ops Survival
game.

Knock down two helicopters without them damaging you in Survival mode.

Pro tip: Hide in a house on the Ressistance map and bait the helicopters
into shooting at you then pop out of cover and return fire while they
reload.

Serrated Edge- 15G

Finish a Juggarnaut with a knife in Special Ops.

Use your knife to deal the finishing blow to a Juggarnaut.

Pro tip: Once again, easy to do on Resistance, just lead the Juggernaut
around in a circle near the grenade machine to refill your flashbangs.

Arms Dealer- 20G

Buy all items from the Survival Weapon Armory.

Buy every weapon and attachment in survival mode.

Pro tip: you will need to be level 50 in Spec ops to buy every gun,
and you don't have to buy them all in one game.

Danger Zone- 20G

Buy all items from the Survival Air Support Armory.

Buy every type of air support and every perk.

Pro tip: You will need to be level 50 in Spec ops to buy all the items,
and you don't have to buy them all in one game.

Defense Spending- 20G

Buy all items from the Survival Equipment Armory.

Buy every type of defensive equipment.

Pro tip: You will need to be level 37 in Spec ops to buy all the items,
and you don't have to buy them in one game.

Get Rich or Die Trying- 25G

Have $50,000 current balance in a Spec Ops Survival game.

Save up $50,000 in a Spec ops Survival game.

Pro tip: Don't buy anything! Pick up discarded weapons, use your knife
when possible, and don't buy anything unless it is absolutely necessary,
also play on an easy map.

I Live- 10G

Survive 1 wave in a Special Ops Survival game.

Make it through the first wave of survival on any map.

Pro tip: Easy, easy, easy. Just kill the 7 or so enemies to pass the
first wave of Survival.

Survivor- 20G

Reach wave 10 in each mission of Special Ops Survival mode.

Make it to wave 10 on every map in Survival.

Pro tip: Try to get this along with the Unstopable Achievement. Also, do
it with a partner to make it much easier.

Unstoppable- 40G

Reach wave 15 in each mission of Special Ops Survival mode.

Make it to wave 15 on every map in Survival.

Pro tip: Play with a friend to make this easier. Also try to keep
yourself in supply of self-revive.

No Assistance Required- 20G

Complete a Special Ops Mission Mode game on Hardened or Veteran with no
player getting downed.

Finish a Spec ops mission on at least Hardened difficulty without you or
your partner going down.

Pro tip: Play on hardened and try to beat an easier mission. Some of the
stealth missions are pretty easy if you don't get caught.

Brag Rags- 10G

Earn 1 star in Special Ops Mission Mode.

Get 1 star in Spec ops.

Pro tip: Super easy, just finish any mission on any difficulty.

Tactician- 20G

Earn 1 star in each mission of Special Ops Mission Mode.

Finish each spec ops mission on any difficulty.

Pro tip: play them all on easy first to get this Achievement out of the
way.

Overachiever- 40G

Earn 48 stars in Special Ops Mission Mode.

Beat all Spec ops missions on Veteran.

Pro tip: This is one of the hardest Achievements in the game. You will
need a partner for the two co-op missions and you will need to be very
VERY careful.

Enemy Intellegence                                                (Intl.)
=========================================================================
Informant- 20G and Scout Leader- 35G
It's a double achievement special!

Collect 22 and 46 intels in the Campaign.

I'm just gonna list all the intels here.

Black Tuesday intels (5)

1) After you breach a door for the first time, go to the room with the TV
and it will be on thevfloor.
2) When you enter the jewellery store, it is on one of the counters.
3) On the first floor of the Stock Exchange, it is on an ammo crate on
your left.
4) In the main room of the Stock Exchange, it is on a counter near the
stairs going to the roof.
5) On a desk in front of the Jamming Tower.

Hunter Killer intels (2)

6) After breaching the submarine it is on the desk in the first room.
7) on the catwalk in the room where you get info they are gonna scuttle
the sub.

Persona Non Grata intels (4)

8) In the courtyard in the the beginning it is in one of the storage
units on your right.
9) After you get through the courtyard it is in the first house on your
right.
10) When you get to the UGV, it is on a barrel to the left of the box
the UGV came in.
11) After you lose the UGV and have to run to the helicopter it is on
the slide in the playground you run through.

Turbulance intels (2)

12) After you go down the first staircase it in the dead end room in
front of you the intel will be on the right in the room.
13) After the plane crashes and you get off, you will have to climb
over a fallen tree as you follow your AI leader. Once you climb over
the log, it is on the ground in front of you.

Back on the Grid intels (3)

14) Once you are done covering Price and Soap with the sniper rifle
enter the room they breached, it is in there.
15) After getting through the factory it is in the hut on your left
next to some graffiti.
16) When you get to the church it is on a desk in the back.

Mind the Gap intels (3)

Warning: This mission is split in 2 halves and so are the intels.
After the train crashes, there is extra one you'll need to pick up.

17) when you see 2 sleeping guys leave the garage go into a
building with an iron door. After going past a bunch of windows the
intel is on the left.
18) Before you pry open the delivery truck get up on the catwalk
enter the building before the bank and it is in there.
19) While going through Westminster, it is behind a little
magazine kiosk counter.

Goalpost intels (3)

20) After you get off the beach in the beginning the first intel
is the crashed jumbo jet off to the side.
21) when you first make a turn around a corner it is behind a
blue tarp covered box thing it's on top of box back there.
22) When you go into the blown up building with some writing on
the inside wall, it is on a desk to your right. 
(PS Informant should pop after getting this intel).

Return to Sender intels (3)

23) When you get to the dock look for buliding with an eagle on
it it is on the top floor on a desk.
24) While Soap and Price interrogate Waraabe check the desk in
the room for the intel.
25) Run up the hill the bad guys pushed the exploding car down
and it is in a hut to the right.

Bag and Drag intels (4)

26) in the library/bookstore it is on the top floor on a windowsill.
27) After meeting Sabre run to the back of the coffee shop in a mini
dresser.
28) In Volk's hideout (where you first see him) it is on a machiney 
thing to your left.
29) When you are chasing Volk look for the Soviet mark. It is on
top of that.

Iron Lady intels (2)

30) When you flank the guy on the MG at the start of the level this
is in the building to the left.
31) When you are on the bridge at the end it is in the bus on the
left.

Eye of the Storm intels (2)

32) when you see an elevator trying to clse on a dead guy, it is on
a counter to your left.
33) After what I like to call the Assassin's Creed moment with Price
on the rooftop, it is on a table in the courtyard.

Blood Brothers intels (1)

34) In the first building Price helps carry Soap through, it is on
the floor on the corner.

Stornghold intels (2)

35) When your at the building after you get flashbanged it is on
a balcony on the other side of the area, in a room, on a drawer.
36) Get out of the building with the first intel and meet back
up with Price, then head right to find it on a crate.

Scorched Earth intels (5)

37) In the first office you're in, when looking up the ramp it
is on your right.
38) When you reach the first rooftop go to your right and look
through the chain-link fence near the air-conditioning units.
It's on the other side of the fence so grab it through the
fence.
39) After rappelling off the building go into the bookstore
ahead of you. It is among the cash registers in the checkout
area.
40) While in the street with the tanks look for the building
on the left with the big sign on the front. It's in there on
a chair.
41) After Sandman breaches the door at the hotel go in the
room and grab the intel on the couch before going upstairs.

Down the Rabbit Hole intels (2)

42) When you get to the an open space (kinda) with a control
room thing on the left, go in the room and grab the intel.
43) After breaching the the room to secure the President go
around to the back room down there and it's on barrel
directly to the left of the door.

Dust to Dust intels (3)

44) After entering the hotel go up the right escalator
turn around so you're facing the opposite direction and it
will be on the bar in front of you.
45) After taking down the helicopter in the elevator run
out of the elevator and go left. It should be on the poker
table in that room.
46) (whew)! When you see a grand piano it is on a bar just
beyond the piano.

Scout Leader should pop after grabbing all the intels.
