MASTER CHIEF AND YOU

?

? The master chief is a cyborg. His suit is MJOLNIR Armor made by the UNSC as a super weapon against the covenant. He has shields that will hold against a good number of Covenant. The shield is rechargeable and if it was to get broken through there are six blocks of health that will hold for a couple of enemy rounds (except maybe Hunters).

? You become this cyborg in this combat video game. This strategy guide will help you recognize and destroy your enemy, which I will explain later. The best way to keep your master chief alive is to stay away from cliffs and long falls, keep a good distance and hiding spot away from large groups of covenant, and keep enough ammo and grenades and whenever you get the chance to change weapons and get ammo.

? Have fun playing Halo.

?

................................................................................

?

THE MARINES

?
? The Marines are the best human soldiers and they are your only allies as you go to defeat the Covenant and Flood. In the earlier levels there are more of them but as you progress through the levels you will find less and less of them until the last level where there are none. So my best advice is to use your allies wisely. Don't kill them or make them your enemies. Use them while you can.? When you see a Warthog or Scorpion take it and get Marines to climb on. Captain Keyes is the captain of them and he leads them wisely. He is a good leader. Protect him. Don't kill him because if you do in the first level you will be swarmed with invincible Marines that will kill you. Good luck saving the Marines and Captain Keyes.

?

................................................................................

?
?

YOURE ENEMIES

?

Covenant

?
? The Covenant has been earth's enemy for many years and until now they were losing. But on the day that The Pillar of Autumn made a blind jump they unfroze Master Chief.? You had no weapons or gear. Just your suit of armor. You race to the bridge and get a pistol from Keyes. Then you fight to save human kind from them. You even the odds a good deal until...

?

Flood

?
? ...the flood came. They took the Marines by surprise and took them and killed them. Then they crafted there dead bodies to make more of their own. There are many different kinds of Flood. Three types to be exact. The Flood was locked up by the Covenant and was reopened by Captain Keyes and a group of Marines. They all died. Then Master Chief found something that will destroy the Flood from a little blue computer like thing. His helpers were...

?

The Sentinels

?
? The sentinels were your friends until Cortana, who had been in Halo's control center for quite some time explained everything to you. The machines were out to get you. Halo was actually for killing the Floods food source (Covenant and Humans). The Monitor and his Sentinels were trying to kill them. That is when they turn on you. Now everything is against you, Covenant, Flood, and The Sentinels. Good Luck with that. Now it is time to help you with your problems.

?

................................................................................

?
?

GRUNTS

?
? The grunts come in a variety of colors as do Elites and Jackels. They are small and very un-heroic.? They will run from you in many of the difficulty levels and they are easy enough to kill.

?

Orange Grunts

?
? Orange Grunts are the easiest enemies in the game most likely. They are orange-yellow in color and can be killed in the easiest of ways. To save ammo walk toward them and they will turn and run unless you are in Heroic or Legendary difficulty. Then you hit them with a melee. Or you could fire ten or fifteen bullets of an assault rifle. Or one shot from a Sniper or Shotgun. Orange Grunts are found in every level other than the Maw level.

?

Red Grunts

?
? Red Grunts are not much better then the orange ones. And the same weaknesses apply except more shots from an assault rifle need to be used. Red Grunts are found in every level.

?

Black Grunt

?
? The Black Grunt is the hardest grunts to defeat. Their weaknesses are less than the other Grunts. The easiest way to kill them is to throw a plasma grenade at one and get it stuck on them or throw a fragmation grenade near a whole group of them. Or you could use a shotgun or rocket launcher. Those work just as well. Black Grunts are found in Keyes and The Maw.
?

................................................................................

?
?

JACKELS

?
? Jackels are short but taller than Grunts and hold a powerful shield that is nearly impenetrable without plasma weapons or vehicles. There are usually two or three of them together with Elite.

?

Blue Shield

?
? The blue shielded Jackels are easier then the Red ones but are hard with their shield. If you penetrate through their shield they will die from the force of it. The best way to penetrate their shield is with a plasma grenade or enemy weapon. The human weapons will most likely bounce right off. Another good was is to shoot them when they roll on the ground right before they get up. Another way is to just use a melee attack. Blue shield Jackels are found in every level.

?
?

Red Shield

?
? The red shield Jackels have the same weaknesses and are found in the same level. The only difference is that their shields are stronger and so are they. If their shield is penetrated they will still be alive. One shot and they will be dead, though.

?

..........................................................................,.....

?
?

Elites

?
?

Blue Elites/Red Elites

?
? Blue Elites and Red Elites are pretty much the same. They are found in all levels and have the same weaknesses. They are hard to sneak up on so don't try and take them down with a melee move in the back because that only works in the first level. To kill them you may need to use grenades but most likely you can hit them with two or three shotgun bullets are a clip from an assault rifle. I don't recommend the assault rifle but use it as a last resort.

?

Yellow with Sword

?
? The best advice for these Elites is STAY AWAY FROM THEM.? Get as far as possible from them where you can still shoot them. One knock with that sword and your shield is gone. Another and you are nearly dead, dude. They are found in the Third, Fourth, and fifth levels.

?

Silver-Invisible

?
? These Elites have a fine outline that you can see and the rest are clear. Where its body is it is blurry. You will hear a grunt and movement when there is one near. The best way to kill them is to have an assault rifle and keep shooting at them. Their invisibility will falter or cease and you can go in for a melee before they know you can see them. They are found in levels Assault on the Control Room, Truth and Reconciliation, Silent Cartographer, and Keyes.

?

Silver-Invisible-With Sword

?
? These Elites are the same as the Invisible and the yellow one combined. Do the same thing as invisible except don't do the melee just keep shooting. These Elite are found in Assault on the Control Room, and Truth and Reconciliation.

?

Black

?
? The Black Elites are the hardest and take a lot of firepower. They are found in The Maw.? My best advice is stay as far back as possible and has a lot of plasma grenades handy. Don't do melee, they are too fast and will dodge you and hit you in the back. Good luck with these.
?

................................................................................

?
?

HUNTERS

?
? These large Covenant are armed with a fuel rod gun that takes up about three fourths of its body. They use it as a shield. But they also use it as a melee weapon so stay back as far as you can.? You need good aim and a quick hand to beat them. Aim for their upper left corner. That is the corner that is not covered. Don't get to close or they will run toward you and attack. Also if you are daring enough you can run to it and hit it with a melee. It may take it off guard so you can take another. Orange blood will splatter everywhere while it gets injured or dead. These guys are hard so watch out.
?

................................................................................

?
?

WRAITHS
?
? These enemy vehicles are packed with massive power. If you are on your feet find a vehicle. Don’t throw grenades because it most likely won't work. Let me say this. If you don't have a vehicle while around these things, run. I suggest you use a Banshee and attack it from behind or on top of it where it can't hit you. Even better is the Scorpion. One will aimed cannon shot with that baby and it will blow up in a ball of flame. The next best thing is a ghost. These things are fast and can easily maneuver around the big, slow moving, wraiths. If you have a Warthog, ride away as fast as you can. The wraiths don't move but they will fire very, very far. You can not climb aboard a wraith and use it I am sorry to say. These are found shooting in Assault on the Control Room. They are found in a bay in The Truth and Reconciliation not in use.
?

................................................................................

?
?

BANSHEES

?
? Banshees are Covenant vehicles that can be used by you. The best way to destroy these is not to be in a vehicle other then a banshee. The aim on the vehicle will not be wide enough. Any weapon would work.
?

................................................................................

?

SHADES

?
? These aren't too hard. You have to get close to them and fire when the aim turns red. The enemy will cry out and get thrown out of the seat. These are commonly used by Grunts but are rarely but are used by Elites as well.

?

................................................................................

?
?

GHOSTS

?
? Ghosts aren't that hard. You have to try and get around and shoot the Elite in the cockpit to get the easiest shot. If you kill the Elite but don't damage the Ghost you may still be able to ride it. You could also use an assault rifle and blow it up.? These are only piloted by Elites.
?

................................................................................

?
?

SMALL FLOOD

?
? These are the Flood that are up to about your knee and slap you with string like things. Their heads are usually tilted sideways. The best way to kill this Flood is with a shotgun. Two shots will knock it down. But be warned they may come back to life so wait ten or fifteen seconds before you keep going. They are found in all of the levels after the sixth one.
?

................................................................................

?
?

EVEN SMALLER FLOOD

?
? These are the Flood that is little ovals with hundreds of legs. The best way to kill them is to have an assault rifle and when they are in a big group shoot rapidly until they all die. Another way is when there are less of them are to wait until they jump and if you time it correctly you can use a melee to kill them. They are found in every level after level 6.
?

................................................................................

?
?
?

LARGER FLOOD

?
?
? These Flood are the hardest. You should use a shotgun. One shot will do it but most likely they will rise from the dead as well. Do the same thing I said before. They are found in every level after level six.
?

................................................................................

?
?

EXPLODING FLOOD

?
? These Floods are big and fat. They go up to your waist and they explode. If they are near a bunch of other enemies shoot them with an assault rifle until they flop on their side. If done right it will explode and kill a lot of the enemies. If they are near you and flop on their side, RUN. When they do that then it means that it is going to explode. They are found in all levels after level six.
?

................................................................................

?
?

SENTINELS/THE MONITOR

?
? The sentinels are hard because they have lasers that will cut right through you. The sentinels are in all the levels starting from level 7. The best way to kill them is with a shotgun. Two well aimed shots will have them exploding. Plasma grenades, fully charged plasma pistols, and assault rifles work well to.

? The Monitor is on your side in the level The Library and an enemy in The Maw. When you are in The Maw and you are destroying the generators don't waste your time shooting him because he will just bring in more sentinels. Even though he is very annoying try and ignore him because he blows up in the end anyway.

?

................................................................................

?

? Well there you go. All of the enemies and there weaknesses at your disposal. Good luck with Halo. Have fun.
