1. The basics

Wahoo for Star Fox! After it's successful defeat of that crazed scientist, Andross
and the Star Wolf, Fox and the Star Fox celebrate a nice victory.
A few years later, the celebration worn off. Falco went hunting for more, Peppy
retired as a map-maker, and Slippy - uh, he retired too (well, from the ArWings,
that is). ROB was upgraded, and the Great Fox had a makeover.
Now the Star Fox team is waiting for General Pepper to make an announcement for a
new mission...

2. Now for you to learn Dino language!

(Not that you need to...)

STEP ONE

Rearrange the vowels, as that is the easiest step (apart from STEP 2):

ENGLISH: A E I O U
DINO: U O A E I

STEP TWO - THE EASIEST

The letter M stays as it is (what a relief)

ENGLISH: M
DINO: M

STEP THREE

Replace the letter Y with an O - this means that the letter Y
will not exist in this language.

ENGLISH: Y
DINO: O

STEP FOUR - THE HARDEST

Rearrange the consonants as follows:

ENGLISH: B C D F G H J K L N P Q R S T V W X Z
DINO: R S T V W X Z B C D F G H J K L N P Q

STEP FIVE

You now have the method of encoding and decoding the Dinosaur
language. Note that the names of people and places are not affected,
remaining in their original language.

EXAMPLE OF DINOSAUR SENTENCE:

ENGLISH: No-one can defeat General Scales
DINO: De-edo sud tovouk General Scales

Can you decipher this Dino sentence?

Andross muo uffouh ad Star Fox Utlodkihoj. Xen seict kxaj ro? Oei nacc vadt eik!

3. Let's talk about those CHEAT TOKENS

You've seen weird wells all over Dinosaur Planet with creatures asking for Scarabs,
right? Well, give them what they want! When you do, they'll send a CHEAT TOKEN
flying to you! (Please don't ask me how they send it to you; it isn't very pleasant)
When you collect them, you'll receive a message telling you to take it to the maze.
Go to the WarpStone; he'll provide the entrance. Now, go down the ladder, and make
your way into the center of the maze, where you will find another well. Drop your
tokens in here, and you will receive some special bonuses! If the message
says "Cheat Activated" then save the game immediately! Go to the main menu. Now
you should have a new option on either Peppy's, Slippy's, or ROB's menu!
Should I really tell you what you can get? E-mail me if you want to know!

4. Some about the Shop and it's Keeper

Visiting the Shop can be fun. It is required if you want to beat the game (which I
have done so), AND it provides a pack of useful items, which wil be essential on
your journey (prices aren't cheap, though).

In Part 7, I will go through the Middle Section of the Shop. But now I am showing
you the Left and Right Sections of the Shop.

Blue Section (the left section)

 - Contains mostly basics. You do not need this section to beat the game, but it IS
reccomended.
 - Sells the following items: Bomb Plant Seed; Power Cell; Blue GrubTub; Firefly;
and some healing items.
 - Consists of prices from 3 Scarabs to 10 Scarabs

Dark Brown Section (the right section)

 - Contains maps, and a Booster Pad
 - The maps aren't needed, but I suggest you buy the lot, as they show all the
hidden places.
 - Prices range from 5 Scarabs to 10 Scarabs

The Shop also contains a CHEAT TOKEN well. Beware - the ShopKeeper likes to haggle.

5. Tricky's Day Out

This part tells you all about Tricky, the Earthwalker Dino who helps you in your
adventure. It also shares a few secrets.

Sidekick Commands:

FIND SECRET: Whenever you come to a crack in the ground or wall, tell Tricky to
"Find" and he'll dig up something for you!

HEEL: Whenever Tricky's asleep or far away, you can make him come to you by using
this helpful and effective command.

STAY: Sometimes, you need to keep a button pressed in order to climb a ladder or
open a secret or such. Tell Tricky to "Stay" on the button. This is a very
important command.

FLAME: There are thing you need to use fire at: grills, iced-doors e.t.c. Tell
Tricky to "Flame" it and you'll unlock a new secret! This command is only available
when you free a SnowHorn in DarkIce Mines.

LET'S PLAY: Sometimes, Tricky will want to play. Get out that ball and start
playing fetch! If you keep playin with Tricky long enough, he'll change color!
This command is only available when you buy Tricky's Ball from the ShopKeeper for 15
Scarabs.

Feeding Tricky:

Tricky does, however, require feeding with Blue GrubTubs (mushrooms). Each command
(except LET'S PLAY) uses up some of his energy. If he's low on energy, Tricky will
display a GrubTub symbol above his head and start saing things like "I'm hungry",
and "Aw, come on, Fox, I'm hungry!". It's up to you to find, catch and feed him
GrubTubs!

Tricky's Warnings:

Tricky can also inform you of nearby enemies and other characters before they enter
your line of sight by displaying an exclamation mark above his head and saying stuff
like "A bad guy!" or "There's something near..."

6. The Good, The Bad, And The Spirits

Bringers of life to Dinosaur Planet, the Spirits were hidden when the EarthWalkers
were attacked by General Scales' army. They must be returned to the Krazoa Palace.

TEST ONE: THE TEST OF OBSERVATION

Watch where the Spirit hides. Move towards the jar in which the Spirit is hiding in
when the jars stop moving. Complete three times to win.

TEST TWO: THE TEST OF COMBAT

Defeat all of the SharpClaw within the time limit. There are about 10 SharpClaws
and you have about 3 minutes.

TEST THREE: THE TEST OF FEAR

Keep the red line within the green bar. This can get tough! When the really big
invisible - thing - shows up and grabs Fox, then it'll be nearly over. You're
almost there!

TEST FOUR: THE TEST OF STRENGTH

Compared to the Test Of Strength in the LightFoot Village, this one is like picking
up the remote! Simply tap A until you end up where your opponent started to win.

TEST FIVE: THE TEST OF KNOWLEDGE

Match the objects to the levels. The objects and levels go as so:

The Moon Seed goes to the Moon Mountain Pass
The Tooth goes to the Walled City
The Trumpet goes to SnowHorn Wastes
The Wooden Head goes to the LightFoot Village
The Moon Rock goes to the Space
The Shell goes to the CloudRunner Fortress.

You have a time limit.

There is no Test Six.

7. A bit more about the Shop and it's Keeper

In this section we're gonna cover what we didn't in Part 5.

Light Brown Section (the middle section)

 - Contains miscellaneous objects and some maps
 - Every single object in the room is required to complete the game.
 - Again, the maps aren't needed, but I suggest that you buy the lot.
 - Prices range from 5 Scarabs to 130 Scarabs

The Scarab Room (go down either one of the corridors on either side of the exit)

This is a gambling game. Collect all Scarabs within the time limit. Touch any of
the purple ones, though, and you lose. Use the Up and Down keys to select how many
scarabs to gamble.

How To Get Scarbs Easily

 - There's a huge slab of rock opposite the Scarab Room. Walk into it.
 - Remember the Booster Pad in the Map Room? If you use it, you'll end up on a
balcony filled with baskets which have Scarabs in them.

8. Last, but not least, the SpellStones

Four stones forged of Dark Matter which absorb energy within the planet and hold it
together. General Scales removed all four SpellStones and torn the planet apart.
They must be returned to the Force Point Temples.

VOLCANO FORCE POINT TEMPLE

Found in Moon Mountain Pass.
Take the red SpellStones here.

First SpellStone:
Get it by defeating a boss in DarkIce Mines.

Second SpellStone:
Get it by defeating the RedEye King in the Walled City.

OCEAN FORCE POINT TEMPLE

Found in Cape Claw.
Bring the blue SpellStones here.

First SpellStone:
Get it by defeating some SharpClaws in CloudRunner Fortress.

Second SpellStone:
Get it by defeating a boss in Dragon Rock.
