NOTE: I did not write this walkthrough to teach people the controls of the game. I 
expect that if you are reading this, you know how to control all of the playable 
characters mentioned in this walkthrough. You can kill enemies any way you choose 
based on the instruction booklet or a sign, or walk past them, unless specified 
otherwards in this walkthrough. Also, I will only list the fastest way to beat a 
level (fastest way I found to beat it). The way to beat a level listed below will 
get you a Star, key or unlock a character when you reach the end of the level, and 
will not necessarily follow the path you want.

          BOB-OMB BATTLEFIELD
==========================================


==========================================
BIG BOB-OMB IN THE SUMMIT
(As Yoshi)
-------------------------

First talk to the Bob-omb Buddies right next to you (pink Bob-ombs). They'll tell 
you about a war going on between them and the evil black Bob-ombs and one of them 
will tell you that they saw Mario heading toward the mountain. Run toward the first 
wooden bridge (right ahead of you). Kill the 3 Goombas and make a left following the 
path. Run past Chain-chomp (in other words, ignore him) and accross the second 
bridge. Run quickly so the bridge does not tilt too much. Jump up the steps, kill 
any Bob-ombs as needed and dodge falling water ballons. Run through the opening in 
the gate and around the sign and run straight up the slope. Make an immeadiate right 
and continue going up the mountain until you see a large hole in the side of the 
mountain (this is where the big black boulders fall out of). Jump into the hole and 
walk as far into it as you can. Stand still and you will be teleported to the top of 
the mountain. Walk to the top. Big Bob-omb will be standing there. Walk up to him 
and he will challenge you to a battle. To defeat him, eat the Bob-ombs he throws at 
you and spit them back at him. Dodge him when he bounces on his back. He will then 
resume throwing Bob-ombs at you. Repeat this three times and you will beat him. He 
will give you a star.

FOOTRACE WITH KOOPA THE QUICK
(Any character)
-----------------------------

First, talk to the Bob-omb buddy straight ahead of you. He will open up all the 
cannons in the course for your use. Skip the steps in brackets if you are already 
Mario: [Get in the cannon right next to you and shoot where it is currently aimed. 
In the field where you land, look for a Goomba wearing a Mario cap (he is somewhere 
left of where you landed). Kill the Goomba and pick up the Mario cap. You will turn 
into Mario. Walk all the way back to the beginning of the level. If you lose the 
cap, look on the map for it and go get it.] Talk to the green Koopa ahead of you. He 
will challenge you to a race. Pick 'Go!' and the race will start. Run straight 
ahead, up the first bridge and make an immeadiate left. Follow the path on the left 
and run past Chain-chomp. Run accross the second bridge quickly and jump up the 
steps. Run through the opening in the gate on the right and make an immeadiate 
right. Run and jump accross the pit with the 2 boulders in it and run up the 
mountain path, staying on the left. Jump over any boulders coming down at you. If 
you lose your Mario cap, you will have to start all over (of course, this doesn't 
apply to Mario). Continue to run up the path, jump over the 2 crevises and continue 
running to the mountain top. Do not take any shortcuts, teleports or cannons. When 
you get to the top, jump on the flagpole and you win the race. When Koopa gets 
there, he will give you a star if you did not cheat (take shortcuts, teleports or 
cannons).

5 SILVER STARS!
(Any character)
---------------

Star locations (If you get hurt by an enemy, you will drop one of your stars. Try to 
catch it before it hops away!):

1. Climb the tree near the first bridge. When you can't go higher, press up to do a 
hand stand. Jump to get it.
2. Chain-chomp is loose! After you go up the first bridge, hop the fence. Chain-
chomp will be hopping around. Get behind him and get the star on the end of his 
chain.
3. Go back onto the path where Chain-chomp is normally chained. Run accross the 
second bridge and walk to the area to your left. Kill the lone Goomba in the trees 
on the left to recieve your 3rd star.
4. Go back to the stairs near the end of the second bridge and jump up them. Walk 
straight to the area behind the sign, and in a patch of flowers is the 4th star.
5. Make an immeadiate right and run through the gap in the gate. Run straight up the 
slope and straight ahead are 2 Goombas by a tree. Kill both of them and one of them 
will have the final silver star.

Go back to the beginning of the level (look at the touch screen) to get the gold 
star in a crystal. If you lose a star, you will have to catch it while it is hopping 
away.

BIG BOB-OMB'S REVENGE
(Any character)
---------------------

Run up the first bridge and make an immeadiate left. Follow the path on the left 
past Chain-chomp and accross the second bridge. Jump over the bricks and the stairs 
and run through the gap in the gate. Run around the sign and up the slope. Make an 
immeadiate right and continue up the mountain until you find a Goomba wearing a 
Mario cap. Kill the Goomba to get it (skip this if you are Mario). When you get to 
the top, you will find Big Bob-omb. He will challenge you again. To beat him, run 
around behind him, STOP and pick him up ([A]). Throw him onto the ground. Do this 3 
times to beat him and recieve a star.

MARIO WINGS TO THE SKY
(Any character)
NOTE: You must have pressed the ? switch in the level '? Switch' in order to beat 
this level.

Get in the first cannon next to you on the left (talk to the Bob-omb buddy on the 
mound to open the cannons if you haven't already). Shoot where the cannon is 
currently pointed. Kill the Goomba wearing the Mario cap to get it (skip this step 
if you are Mario). Get in the cannon inside the rock near where you landed. Aim at 
the red coin over the Island in the Sky, then aim all the way up (down on the D-pad) 
and shoot. You will land on the island. Hit the ? block to get a feather, then jump 
in the cannon on the island. Shoot into the rings of coins. You have to get the 
center coin in each of the 5 rings of coins in the sky. If your feather is running 
low, try to land on the island to get it again. If you find yourself falling out of 
the sky, ground pound when you are NEAR the ground so you won't take damage. You 
must get back on the island to continue. When you get the 5 coins, a star will 
appear in the area after the tilting bridge, on the left (look at the touch screen).
