--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- POKEMON: FIRE RED FREQUINTLY ASKED QUESTIONS/PKM. MASTER CHALLANGES --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (FAQ) CONTENTS------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 Frequintly Asked Questions ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------END 1:Frequintly Asked Questions------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Question:Which Pokemon should I start out with? They all seem good! Answer:Well, there are sevral ways to select the perfect starter Pokemon. Scince, eventully, it all balances out, it dosen't matter. Choose Bulbasore if your a novice to the Pokemon games. I.E. If this is the first Pokemon game you've ever picked up.Bulbasore is good for you because it's the simplest to train, which will give you time to get traning and catching Pokemon down. Choose Squritle if your intermediate at the Pokemon games, like you've only played Gold or Silver. Squirtle would be a good choice for you, because you know the basics of traning and catching Pokemon. Choose Charmander if you've master the Pokemon games and are a pro at traning all types of Pokemon and you've memorized jsut about everything that you need to know to survive.Charmander is good for Masters at the Pokemon games (in my opinion) because it gives you more of a challange. I have yet to see a Traier who beat Brock with a level 13 Charmander alone, as oposed to being able to do that with Squrtile or Bulbasore Question:OK. I have a full party. What's the point of useing other Pokemon if my lead Party Pokemon can kick the shit out of anything? Answer:You train all six of your Pokemon because you WILL met a bigger fish.I can garuntee there will be a situation where you will need more then one pokemon. Question:So...Have any guidelines on how I should limit my traning on my party so I don't come to rely on one of my Pokemon? Answer:Yes. I do. My 'Three Healthy Habits for Pokemon Traning' 1)Use your weaker Pokemon more often. Keep them in the most forward slot and train one at a time. Once the battle starts, switch it in for a stronger Pokemon and fight with that one. EXAMPLE:Put you're brand new, just caught level five Magikarp in the first party slot. Trainer Battle! Ahh! All it knows is Splash wich dose absoluetly nothing! So, pull out your Charmeleon and beat down your enemy! 2)Keep ALL your Party Pokemon on even levels. I mean, once one hits a desired point, like level 20, let's say, start working on another one! 3)Lastly, keep alot of healing items and anti-status problem items with you. It's annoying when your level 15 Nidoran is two EXP points away from gaining to level 16 and evolveing when every fight you run into after healing, he's poisond and faints. Question:OK...what about Gym Battles? are they really as tough as they make it seem on the show? Answer:Yes, actully. Unless your well prepared for the gym, chances are it will take sevral tries to beat the leader. Normally, you can tell if your ready or not by fighting trainers in the gym. With the exception of Cerulian City's gym, they pritty much give you a taste of what's in store when you make if to the leader. Question:Finally...The Elite Four. My level 50 and sixty super Pokemon will wipe the floor clean!Or am I juat being cocky? Answer:Yes. Your being cocky. Unless your packed to the brim with revive and Full Restore, the Elite Four is actully a challange, unlike the orginal games. Question:So...I obliderated the Elite Four. What's next? Answer:Setting your sights on completeing your Pokedex. Also, there are new chalanges wating for you on the Seven Islands. Question:What are some teams you sugest to beginner trainers? Answer:I have sevral teams that I've betan the game with and they are as follows. My sugested team for those who chose Bulbasore: (LEAVING VARIDIAN AND ENETRING PEWTER) Bublbasore:Aquired From Prof. Oak Pidgy:Aquired on Route One Ratatata:Aquired on Route One Nidoran(male:Aquired on Route Butterfree:Aquired in Varidian Forest (Catch as a Caterpie [sugested] or Metapod and evolve at Lvl. A Firestone makes it a Flareon A water stone makes it a Vaporeon A Thunder Stone makes it a Jolteon Which way you evolve it is up to you. I prefer Jolteon and Flareon. ***:You can evolve this Pokemon at anytime through a trade with a freind via GBA Link Cabel or Wireless adaptor. Now that that's done... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------END MASTER CHALLANGES-------------------------------------------------------------------- Master Challanges are little challanges I've come up with.
