          1. Introduction

This guide features info on the Battle Tower. At the end, I will
include tips to help you win a lot... but not all the time.

          2. How to get there

In order to get to the Battle Tower, you need to enter the Hall of
Fame. Then, when you get to Twinleaf Town in your room, go downstairs. Your
mom will tell you about some ship that sails to the Fight Area and your friend
going there. Go or fly to Snowpoint City. You will see your friend near the
ship. Talk to him (he'll say "I'm fining you $1,000,000," but you won't really
pay anything) then go on the ship. Once you go on, you will be able to fly
there from that point on.

          3. The Battle Tower info

When you enter the Fight Park for the first time, some women will
greet you and give you a Point Card which is used to store BP (Battle Points).
Save up BP and cash them in for cool prizes, including vitamins, Rare Candy,
TMs, and more. Who knows, maybe these items might help your Pokemon...
Excluding Eggs and certian Pokemon, any kind may enter the Battle
Tower Competition. All Pokemon must be at level 50 or below. Pokemon above
level 50 may also enter. One warining; their level will be cut to 50 in the
competition. Don't worry; the cut level will return to normal when you exit.
You must defeat seven trainers to earn BP and you can't leave until you beat or
lose to seven trainers, but you can save or retire in the middle of battles.
If you win, your win streak is recorded and you can keep coming back for more
BP. However, once you retire or lose one battle, the count is reset. There
are four types of battles: Single Battle: Enter three Pokemon for a one-on-one
battle. Double Battle: Enter four Pokemon for a two-on-two battle. Tag Team
Battle (also known as a Multi Battle): Choose two Pokemon for a Multi Battle.
You have the option to link with a friend. If you don't want to, select no.
If you select no, you get to choose from a number of trainers whom you traveled
with in the past. When you link with a friend, work together as a team and
plan your attacks carefully. Nintendo WFC battles: Battle with people over the
Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. It's too complicated for me to explain, so let's
move on.

           4. Tips from the top...

            1. When you're doing a Double Battle, try to come up with your own
combos. I came up with the Surf-Protect combo. I'll even tell you how it
works later.
            2. Give your Pokemon hold items that boost attack moves. It's
really helpful for moves that don't match it's type(s).
            3. Give berries that weaken supereffective hits to your Pokemon.
For example, give your main Steel type Pokemon the Shuca Berry; it weakens a
supereffective Ground type move.
            4. Before you get this far, give your Pokemon vitamins. They
raise the power of stats, giving you an advantage.
            5. It should seem clear by now, but teach your Pokemon different
moves! They might come in handy sometime...

            6. I recommend bringing Pokemon that are at least level 45 with a
high Speed rating. Remember your oponents will not use Pokemon below level 50.

            Bonus: The Surf-Protect Combo

Now, I'll tell you how my good combo works: First, teach at least
one of your Pokemon TM 17 (Protect). You can find it at the Veilstone
Department Store. Next, teach a Water type Pokemon HM 03 (Surf). Then, go to
the Battle Tower and choose Double Battle. Once you are in a battle, make your
buddy use Protect, which will always strike first. Then make your Surf-taught
Pokemon use Surf (or reverse this). Oh by the way, Surf hits all three Pokemon
instead of both opponents. When you do this, it will say, "(Pokemon's name)
protected itself." Feel free to use this combo, I won't mind.
