An advanced civilization, peaceful, prosperous, and powerful, the Alimbics maintained stability over the region forcefully but judiciously. They reigned over a vast region known as the Alimbic Cluster. One day, perhaps thousands of years ago, perhaps tens of thousands, they simply disappeared, leaving behind artifacts scattered across the Alimbic Cluster, all protected by a lethal arsenal of the Alimbics' most advanced weaponry. Today, for the first time in centuries, the long-dormant Alimbic Cluster has begun to stir, delivering some strange tidings. A telepathic communique, originating within the Cluster, has been transmitted into the brains of some of the most exceptional beings in our galaxy. The message is translated into a thousand different languages on a thousand different worlds, but the message is always the same: "The secret to ultimate power lies in the the Alimbic Cluster." This message has intrigued and enticed some of the most formidable bounty hunters in the galaxy, inspiring them to make the long journey to the Alimbic Cluster. Each of these great warriors has his own motivation. Some desire power--for themselves, their planet, or their people--while others simply desire to hunt and kill, to prove themselves the best bounty hunter in the galaxy. Now , it's a race against time to see which bounty hunter will triumph and who will discover the secret behind this promise of "ultimate power." The Galactic Federation has heeded this strange, suspicious communication as well and has called for the help of Samus. Her mission: to discover the truth about this mysterious message, to protect against a potential threat, and to keep the ultimate power of the Alimbics from falling into the wrong hands. +==============================================================================+ | 2) Controls ----------------------------------------------------------------| +==============================================================================+ Here is a Nintendo DS, just incase you need a visual aid. +-----------------------------------+ | _______________ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | ****** | | ****** | | ****** | | ****** | | ****** |_______________| ****** | | | +-----------------------------------+ +-----------------------------------+ | [POW] _______________ [S] [S] |<----Select and Start | | | | Respectively | _ | | | | _| |_ | Touch Screen | (X) | Directional -------> | |_ + _| | | (Y) (A) | Pad (D Pad) | |_| | | (B) | | |_______________| | | * ** | +------/---------------------\------+ / \ Microphone Power Lights There are four different control settings in Metroid Prime: Hunters. Plus, it's hard to hold the DS close to face while using the stylus, which is all the time. I feel less like I am actually there when playing with the DS all the way in my lap, and more like I am playing a game in History Class, which I am, but I'm trying to FORGET I'm there. ................................................................................ :::Stylus Mode, Left:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: "Stylus Mode, Left" is for people who want to use the stylus and are left handed. You can choose where to go by moving left or right and up or down with the D Pad. The only place you will find is called "Celestial Archives," so use the lower screen to select it. Tap "land Ship" to go there. +======================+ | Celestial Archives | +======================+ Well, you should always scan everything so you can to understand the storyline. To use your Scan Visor, tap and hold the "scan visor icon," located just below the radar. When you are done, find the door. It will be on the bottom level, and it is in the shape of a brown triangle. To open the door, use L to shoot (R if you are left handed). Go through. Go through the winding hallway and through the next door. Go strait through to the next door. Go left through this room and find the next door. When you approach it, you will see that it has a red circle on it. This means it's locked. You will have to scan a switch to unlock it. The switch is actually right next to the door. Scan it (it's the orange thing to the right) and go through, but first scan all the other things in the room. Go strait through this room and through the next door. When you enter here, the doors will lock behind you. The only way to unlock the doors is to kill the enemies floating around in the room, called "Psycho Bit 1.0. Just a few shots are needed to take each one down. When they are all gone, the doors will unlock. Go up the small ramp and through the door. Just go strait through this hallway and into the next room. In here, hold L (or the R button) to shoot away the boxes. Go right through the narrow passageway. Jump over the next bunch of boxes and go through the hole in the wall on the right. You will see a thing called a Petrasyl. Shoot it and grab a missile refill. You only have a max amount of five so don't use it unless you need 'em. Right now you need 'em. Shoot the nearby door with the red border. It will tell you that you need a stronger weapon. Tap the "Missile Icon" on the touch screen. The "Missile Icon" is the thing in the top center of the touch screen. To switch back to the normal beam gun, push the button right next to it. Anyway, use a Missile on the door. Go strait through to the next door. Hang a left and destroy the floating silver things (I keep forgetting to scan them for their proper name), then continue on. When you hit a dead end, you will find a new type of door. All weapons will open this one. The only thing different is its shape and it's color. It is more of an oval shape and it is silver. Go through. The doors will immediately lock. Scan everything, but scan the white diamond thing last. When you do scan it, a bunch of "Psycho Bit 1.0's" will attack. They will leave behind health, so don't forget to pick those up. If the health is out of reach, you can charge up your gun by holding the L button. This will suck the health directly into you. When they are all gone, they will leave a key behind. Scan it, then walk into it. The crystal guarding the "Cartograph Artifact" will disappear, leaving it ripe for the taking. Grab it, then leave through the door that you DIDN'T come through. Go left and kill the Psycho Bits. After you do, continue going left. When you get to an area where you need to jump up a step, go into "Morph Ball Mode." To do so, Push the "Morph Ball Mode" button on the lower right corner of the screen. Roll through the tunnel. You will soon get some health by doing so. Do it for a bit longer to find an Energy Tank (Energy Tank 1). Roll back out of the tunnel, then continue left on foot through the hallway. Kill the Creature (I find this is easiest to do by attacking it from afar). Once you do, the door will unlock. Go through. Go through the next door. In here, you have to jump up the platforms to get to the door at the top. Do so, then go through. And go through the next door. Go right and you will eventually find another bounty hunter. He will slither away in his alt-form. Morph Ball and follow him through the tunnel. At the other end, stay in morph ball mode and continue going right. You will enter another tunnel with some health, and a Missile Expansion at the end (Max 15). Go back in the direction you came from and don't take the tunnel. Go above it and through the door. And through the next. In here is another room where you have to climb up the platforms, but this one is swarming with Petrasyls. Kill them off first, then climb. Go through the door. Go through the next door as well. Go right and destroy the boxes for health and ammo, then go left. Go through the door and fight Kanden! +==============================================================================+ | Bounty Hunter Fight: Kanden | | |===============================+ | | | | Kinda easy if you ask me. Just stand on the upper platform in the middle of | | the room and shoot at him as he scurries around. If you are using Dual Mode | | then you might have a difficult time. Since aiming at that speed is damn | | near impossible, just wait for him to jump up and try to attack you on your | | platform and when he gets close, BAM! Hit him with a charged beam. This will | | take awhile, so only do this if you're in Dual Mode. If you're in stylus | | Mode, then you have a little more control, so shoot him as he scurries along | | the ground and as he shoots from up on the platform at the end of the room. | | That pretty much covers it. He will be gone by your third attempt for sure | | | | Good luck! | | | +==============================================================================+ After you beat him, grab the key up on the platform, the go over to the now unlocked Morph Ball door. Go into Morph Ball Mode and lay a bomb by pushing the L Button. Go inside to grab the Alimbic Artifact. Bomb through the morph ball door and go through the door in the corner on the right. Kill the Alimbic Turrets, then go through the unlocked door. Go through the next door too. Hop up the platforms again. Once at the top, look for a hallway in the wall. It should be right above the blue force field. Walk through and go through the door. Shoot the circles on either sides of both doors. Grab the key, then the third artifact. Go through the next door and step into the newly activated portal. Go strait ahead and through the big oval door with the green force field on it. Go through the next one as well. +==============================================================================+ | Boss Fight: Cretaphid | | |=========================+ | | | | The boss is the big pole thing. His only attack uses the big lasers. What | | you need to do, is to shoot all of the blue spots on him. When they are all | | gone, a white thing will come out of the top. Shoot it as much as you can. | | After a short time, it will go back into the big pillar. Start over again. | | Soon, after you deal enough damage to it, it will flash for a second, then | | the lasers will start up again. This time, though, they are closer to the | | ground, and that means closer to you. Just do as much damage to the white | | thing as you can, because that is the only way to hurt him. He'll take you a | | few tries, but he will go down soon enough. Not that tough. Remember, he | | leaves behind health sometimes when you shoot the blue things. Use a charged | | Beam attack to suck the health and ammo towards you. And also, if you are | | having trouble aiming, just aim at the white thing, and leave it aimed at | | that. Move closer to shoot the lower blue spots, and stand right next to it | | to get the lowest ones. | | | +==============================================================================+ When he is toast, grab the first Octolith! Congrats! You have almost finished the first level! Leave through the only door. Go through the next. The second you get through the last door, an alarm will go off and you will receive a message stating that you have eight minutes to evacuate. Just backtrack to your ship. This next paragraph will help you find the ship, but if you feel you can do it on your own, then do it. ******--Backtracking--********************************************************** Run strait across the room and through the portal. Run forward and through the door. Kill off all the enemies and go through the next door. Fall down past the platforms and go through the next door. Go right and through the door. Go through the other door in this room. Go left and kill off all the enemies to unlock the door. Go through. Go through the next door as well. Fall down to the bottom of this room and go through the door. Go through the next door too. Go to the right and get the first Missile Expansion if you haven't already done so, the go back to the left and through the morph ball tunnel. On the other side, run to the next door. When you get there, kill all the enemies, and go through the now unlocked door. Go through the next door as well. Fall down to the bottom of the room and go through the door. Go through the next door also. Head to the left and go through the door. Kill off all the Psycho Bits and go through the only other door in the room. Head left again and go through the only other door. Head up the ramp and make your way through the rest of the room. Go through the door. And again. Go down the ramp and through the next two doors. Kill off the three enemies in here. They aren't that hard, just shoot them down. Go through the other door. Go through the next three doors. YAY!! We made it back to the ship ******--End of Backtracking--*************************************************** Jump onto the ship and go inside. Save your game, then click on "Launch Ship." +==========+ | Alinos | +==========+ Well start by running forward and down the ramp. Jump from platform to platform to get across the lake of lava. Go through the door. Go through the next room as well. Walk down the hallway and be careful not to step on any of those plants, because you take damage from doing that. If for some reason you don't have full health, you can shoot the plants. They leave behind health sometimes. Walk across the room and go through the morph ball hole. This next area is a maze. Go left, then right and right again. The second right will come up fast so don't miss it! Go all the way down, then left. When you get to the end, go left just a little, then go right. Go right again, then left. Go strait until you roll down into a small room. Kill off all the enemies, then grab the key to unlock the morph ball door. Go up the ramp that is to the right of the key. Go strait as far as you can (it's not very far at all) and hang a right. Turn left where it forces you to, then go left again, then a very quick right. Go strait all the way, then go left, then left again, down the ramp, and left again. Bomb the morph ball door. Go strait ahead, then go right to find an Energy Tank (Energy Tank 2)! Go back, then left, and left again at the morph ball door. Go right, then lay a bomb. When it explodes, it will push you up into the air. try to land in the hole in the wall. Roll through the tunnel until you get to a room where you can stand up. In here is where the Cartograph Artifact for this level. Bomb the morph ball door and go through. Roll through the tunnel. At the end is a small room with several giant insects called "War Wasps." Get out of morph ball mode quickly and shoot the door. We are going to ignore the wasps for now. Anyway, go through the door. Go through the next one as well. In here, you need to kill all the bug like creatures called "Zoomers" to unlock the door. Go through the door. Go left and kill all the bug like creatures in here also. Go through the door. Go left twice, then go to the area where all the small hallways meet together. Look up at the roof. There should be a big hole in it. Jump up through it. +==============================================================================+ | Bounty Hunter Fight: Spire | | |==============================+ | | | | The fight will start out with spire at the top of the room. Aim up and try | | hit him with a charged shot followed by a bunch of regular shots. Once you | | do a certain amount of damage, he will leave the room. No, the fight isn't | | over, it has just begun. Go around shooting plants for health. When you are | | satisfied with the amount of health you have (or you ran out bushes to kill),| | go up the ramp without the crystal. At the top, you will find more bushes to | | destroy. When you are ready, go past the mushroom and through the door. | | | | Go through the next one too. | | | | Here is where it gets exciting! Go left and scan the Attameter Artifact. You | | can't get it until you beat Spire in the next round of fighting. Go right | | now. You will be trapped by a force field. Kill off the enemy, then kill the | | two blue force fields. If you watch them, you will see that they are creating| | enemies for you. The enemies won't stop coming until you destroy them. When | | you do, look up and start shooting at Spire through the roof. When you do | | enough damage, he will come down and attack you in person. Well, almost. He | | will be in his alt form. The only way to hurt him is to shoot at him with | | Missiles. I find it is easiest to shoot him as he comes towards you, then | | jump out of the way right as he is about to ram into you. When you do enough | | damage, he will run away. Scan the switch on the wall to make a key appear. | | Grab it, then go get the now unlocked Artifact. Go through the door. | | | | Go through the next door also. | | | | Shoot at spire whenever you can. Whenever. Use Missiles also. When you run | | out, use charged shots. Just keep at him. Not that hard. | | | +==============================================================================+ When he is beaten, grab the key, then the artifact. Remember the force Field that kept creating enemies during the Bounty hunter battle? Well, there are three of them in this room. Don't destroy them yet! wait until they spit out a ton of enemies, then kill the enemies for health. After you are full on health and ammo, you can kill all of the force field things. Go up the ramp that had the Artifact on it. Once at the top, jump from platform to platform to get to the top of the other side of the room. Go through the door. Go through the next door also. Look to the right. Scan the switch, then go through the new portal. You should now be at your ship. Go inside, save, and change you options if you want. Exit your ship and go through the portal. Go through the other portal. Go strait ahead and find your way to the boss. I assume you remember the way. +==============================================================================+ | Boss Fight: Slench | | |=======================+ | | | | This is a pretty easy fight. He will have three tentacles surrounding him. | | What you have to do is shoot each one with a charged shot. When you do, the | | tentacle will retract into it's body. Once all three tentacles have been | | dealt with, the body will detach from the wall. You have to shoot it in the | | center where the dot is. Get up close to it when shooting at the body, | | because it moves. The more damage it takes, the faster it will move. Closer | | is better, because it won't ram into you, it will just shoot at you. | | It is very easy. I beat it on my first try. | | | +==============================================================================+ When you are done, grab the Octolith. Don't forget to take the health, because you're going to have to do some fighting on the way out. Leave and head toward the portal. Halfway there, the timer will start up, and you'll have five minutes to escape. Go through the portal. *****--BACKTRACKING--*********************************************************** When you come out on the other side of the portal, you'll be facing a hole in the ground. Jump down that hole. Find the door and use it. Go through the next door also. Jump down to the bottom of this room also, and go down the hole in the floor. Follow the hallway to the right and go through the next four doors. Ignore the wasps and go through the morph ball tunnel. Bomb through the door. +==============================================================================+ | Bounty Hunter Fight: Weavel | | |===============================+ | | | | Not exactly a good time to fight someone, huh? Well whatever. He will shoot | | at you while moving in a circular motion around the room. Rapidly fire while | | strafing sideways with him. Eventually, he will split into two pieces. One | | will stand in the center of the room while the other one runs around slashing| | at whatever it wants. Since the stationary piece is easy to shoot at, let out| | all your firepower on it. The other piece's movements are two erratic to | | waste time trying to deal with. He will eventually disappear. Follow him | | through the morph ball tunnel, but first destroy the boxes in this room. You | | might need the health. | | | | In here, he will be in one piece again. Keep shooting at him. Try for | | headshots, because it does more damage. Keep at him and eventually | | he will go down. | | | +==============================================================================+ Go through the next door. Jump across the lava using the platforms and get into your ship. Congrats! The second level is out of your way! +==========================+ | Vesper Defense Outpost | +==========================+ Jump strait down off of your ship and walk slightly to the left. Go over the small bridge and hang a right. When you get to the support pillar that you have to walk around, go left and through the door. Go through the next door as well. In here will be many Petrasyls. Kill them for health and ammo. The ones on top give missile refills and the bottom ones give health. Go through the next door when you are ready. And through the next door. Go left down the hallway. At the bottom is an Alimbic Turret v1.4. Just aim up and nail the sucker with two charged shots. Take a right into the next room and destroy the Force Fields that create enemies with a charged shot or two. There are two in need of killing. After you've done that, kill the creatures that have been created by the Force Fields. Once everything is dead, the floor will disappear. Jump down and kill off the two enemies down here. To avoid damage, just strafe left or right the whole time and nail them with charged Beam shots. When they are both dead, grab the key that will appear at the edge of the room. This will make a platform rise and fall. Jump onto it and ride up to the top. Jump off and grab the Artifact! Leave through the only pathway you can, the one you entered through. As you walk through it, look at the bottom of the wall. You should have noticed the morph ball door. Shoot it or bomb it, then roll through after it opens. Bomb through the next door, also. Roll forward into the maze. This maze is way easier than it looks. Roll forward and down the ramp (um, actually, wait for the moving platform to get to the bottom) and bomb jump onto the moving platform. At the top of it's course, go right. A Missile Expansion is here, but to get it you will have to double bomb jump. To do this, lay a bomb. Right before it explodes, lay another. The first one will push you up into the air. At the peak of this "jump," lay a bomb in midair. You will land, but immediately be pushed up into the air by the second bomb. As you are in the air, the third bomb will explode, pushing you up twice as high, and into the Missile Expansion. After you do this, roll to the left. Wait for the platform to get to the top, then quickly roll across and stop at the thing shooting white bands. When the green beam of electricity stops, roll into the thing with the white to be shot up to the top. Roll through the morph ball tunnel and past a really weird room. Once at the end, you will have to scan four switches, each one in a corner (or the closest thing to a corner) in that room. After you do, you can grab the first item, the Battlehammer. It will automatically equip. Shoot the little robot on the green Force Field to destroy it. Roll back through the tunnel and into the maze. Drop down to the bottom after the green beam of electricity stops. Go under where the Missile Expansion is (or was), and bomb jump up and to the left. Between the two small white pillars is a Morph Ball Tunnel. Go over to it and hold up on the D Pad to enter it. Follow it and bomb open any doors in your way. When you get out into the open, look left and use your battle hammer to destroy the green Force Field. Remember, you cannot just shoot the Green Force Field! You have to hit the little robot sliding around on the surface. Go through where the Force Field used to be and kill everything in this room. Start on the little turret shooting energy blasts at you, because that shoots the most and will limit your ability to take everything else out. Once that is gone, get the Generators so no more Psycho Bits are created. Lastly, take out the Psycho Bits. Scan the switch between the two Green Force Fields. Next, go to the back of room the room and stand on the box. Jump up while looking at the wall and you should see an alcove in the wall. Jump into it and scan the switch. If you already destroyed the box, just jump up and down while in scan visor. When you're at the peak of your jump, scan the switch. You will have to jump several times, but you will get it done eventually. Head back to the morph ball maze. Once there, drop to the bottom and go left through the morph ball tunnel. Bomb through both of the doors. At the end, you will find the UA Expansion. Now roll through the holes in the walls on the right side of the room. You can do one of two things. I suggest doing the first one. You could roll back into the room with the UA Expansion and shoot at the enemy through the holes in the wall OR you could stand up and fight the enemy in the same room. Either way, once he is dead you will have to go back into the room that the enemy was in and get the key. Go through where the Force Fields used to be. Enter Morph Ball Mode and go through the tunnel. You should roll into a launch pad. This will push you up into another room. In here is the second Alimbic Artifact! Grab it and drop down the hole in the floor next to it. Fight the guardian. Each charged shot takes away more than a whole quarter of it's health. Kill it, then the floor should disappear, letting you drop down into the room with the old UA Expansion. Go through the Morph Ball Door. Go through the next one as well. Roll right through the maze and through the next door. And the next morph ball door as well. Stand up and go strait into the room where we go the first Artifact of the level. Go left and shoot through the Green Force Field. Kill the slug like creature by walking next to it. It will jump up. While it is in midair, Aim up and shoot. It helps to aim up and THEN go next to it and make it jump. After you kill it, a platform should start moving up and down. Jump onto it and ride it up to the top. Scan the orange thing to turn on the portal. Step into it to go to your ship. Get in and save. leave your ship and step onto the launcher to get a ride up to the top. Go through the portal. Go down the hallway. At the end of the hallway is where you will find Stylux. +==============================================================================+ | Bounty Hunter Fight: Sylux | | |==============================+ | | | | Like almost everything else in this game, he is easy as hell. | | Start by rapidly firing at him. You can do this by holding the L button for | | short amounts of time. If you hold it too long, then it will charge. You can | | try to nail him with charged shots or a combination of the two, but that | | takes time, and as you can see, his weapon locks on and doesn't let go. He | | will be harming you nonstop for at least 75% of the battle. You don't have | | any time. Just concentrate on killing him as fast as you can. After awhile, | | he will go into his alt form. While he is in his alt form, he can't hurt you | | directly. Take this chance to go and get health by shooting at the crates. | | Don't forget that he can drop bombs though. After you get the health, shoot | | at him. He will eventually come out of his alt form, though. Just keep at | | him. Eventually he will go into the room in the center of the battlefield. | | Walk around the hallways while looking for an entrance to the new room. Go in| | and let the battle continue! I find it helps when I jam my back against the | | corner of the room. Just keep shooting. Eventually his ship will arrive. Just| | ignore it, because it doesn't have anything to do with the battle. On second | | thought, go ahead and scan it. You won't have any other chance. After you | | beat him, he will run into his ship and take off. The third Artifact will be | | unlocked, also. Congrats! You beat one of the tougher Bounty Hunters! | | | +==============================================================================+ Go around the hallway surrounding the center room and look for a room pointing outward or away from the center room. In it will be the third Artifact. YAY! We get to go fight the boss now! Go up the ramp. Go through the portal if you want to save, then come back. Go down the elevator. Go forward. Then go right through the room with Psycho Bits. Go through the morph ball door. And go through the next door also. Bomb jump up onto the moving platform at the bottom of the ramp. Ride it up and to the right. Bomb jump up onto the next level. Go through the tunnel between the blue and white pillars. When you get to the next door, go through it. Be careful about exiting through this next one. Go very slowly. If you go fast, you might fall down into a lower room. Then you would have to backtrack. When you enter the room, go left. Come out of Morph Ball Mode and continue walking around the edge of the room until you get to the portal. Then go through it. You know the drill. Go strait ahead until you get to the Boss. +==============================================================================+ | Cretaphid v2 | | |================+ | | | | This will be very similar to the previous boss battle, except that it is | | easier. I expect you to beat this by your third attempt. What you need to do | | is to shoot all of the blue spots. It will have a newer, weaker attack. | | It will shoot green globs of ooze at you. They are slow moving and can be | | destroyed with your gun. The laser attack is gone, by the way. It helps to | | strife in circles around it. You never had to do this in the previous | | version of the Boss Battle, because you could jump over the laser when it | | passed you. I also find it easiest to shoot away all of the blue things on | | the bottom, and work your way up. And of course, when every one of them is | | destroyed, nail the white thing up top. Rinse and repeat. | | | +==============================================================================+ +============+ | Arcterra | +============+ Wow! The music here matches the scenery so well. Anyway, lets get started. Jump off of your ship and scan everything. Then run off the edge and fall down to the bottom of this room. A fall from this height will hurt you a little bit, but it's really no big deal, since you can shoot all of the boxes for health. Go through the door. Go through the next door as well. Walk forward and meet Noxus. +==============================================================================+ | Bounty Hunter Fight: Noxus | | |==============================+ | | | | Yet another easy bounty hunter fight. Just run under one of the ramps and | | shoot. There are no fance tactical moves to use against him. Just shower him | | with charged beam shots. If you are under a ramp, then you will be protected | | on two or more sides. Sometimes, he will get stuck under the ramp with you. | | That is bad because then the ramp will trap you next to him while he is | | attacking. Just try to get out form under the ramp when this happens. Once | | you get out, go back in. Sometimes you can trap Noxus under the ramp and | | shoot him while he is cornered. Trace will be in the fight also, but you | | should just ignore him for now. Noxus will be gone in no time at all. | | | +==============================================================================+ When he is gone, one of those enemy creating force fields will be pumping out creatures called Voldrums. Kill the Force field with a few charged shots, then take out the actual enemy. Go into the hallway with the door you just came from and turn right. Go all the way down until you find an alimbic turret. kill it, then look into the room it was in. Scan the switch on the wall. Proxy lock 6 of 6 has been deactivated. Continue going down the hall and jump up onto the platform next to the locked door. Turn right. Jump up onto the ledge in front of you. When you get to the top, look at the top of the walls and scan Proxy lock 1 of 6. Continue walking along the walkway and turn right at the purple door. Walk up the path and turn right at the top. Scan the pillar to deactivate Proxy Lock 2 of 6. Jump across the gap. There will be an elevator at the end. DO NOT TAKE IT! Instead, turn around and scan the tops of both pillars to Deactivate Proxy Locks 3 of 6 and 4 of 6. Jump down to the right and go into the room with the red door behind a force field. Scan the walls to find Proxy Lock 5 of 6. Go forward and into the hallway. Take the elevator up and cross the broken bridge. Go right and grab the key. Go back across the bridge and down the elevator. Go through the door directly in front of the elevator. Grab the Alimbic Artifact. Then go into morph ball mode and roll under the three bars in the back of the room. An elevator should move you up towards an Energy Tank. When the elevator gets to the top, bomb jump into it (Energy Tank 3). Try to lay the bomb in the middle of the platform. If you are up against the sides you might not jump properly. When you are done, leave the room. Turn right and go all the way down the hall. Go through the door. Go through the next door as well. See that white spot on the ground? Walk on to it. You should fall through it and into a new room. Take out your scanner. Look for a small cave with an orange switch inside. There should be six, but only one doesn't have a Force Field blocking you from the switch. Scan it. The Force Fields in front of all the caves should now be turned off. Scan all of the switches. Once you do, electric will rush through the wires. This will piss off the Barbed War Wasps. You have to destroy their hives first. Then kill em all like you would any other enemy. Once they are gone, power should be restored to everything in the room. Step onto the launcher and follow the hallway to the left. !!!! More coming soon !!!! +==============================================================================+ | 4) Boss Guide --------------------------------------------------------------| +==============================================================================+ I wasn't sure if I should list the bounty hunter fights as Boss fights. I did it anyway just to be sure. Also, sorry, but my Boss section only has a few bosses in it. Only have between an hour to three hours a day to work on this. It will take awhile, but I'll finish it within a month or two. +===============================+ | Bounty Hunter Fight: Kanden | +===============================+ Kinda easy if you ask me. Just stand on the upper platform in the middle of the room and shoot at him as he scurries around. If you are using Dual Mode then you might have a difficult time. Since aiming at that speed is damn near impossible, just wait for him to jump up and try to attack you on your platform and when he gets close, BAM! Hit him with a charged beam. This will take awhile, so only do this if you're in Dual Mode. If you're in stylus Mode, then you have a little more control, so shoot him as he scurries along the ground and as he shoots from up on the platform at the end of the room. That pretty much covers it. He will be gone by your third attempt for sure Good luck! +============================+ | Boss Fight: Cretaphid v1 | +============================+ The boss is the big pole thing. His only attack uses the big lasers. What you need to do, is to shoot all of the blue spots on him. When they are all gone, a white thing will come out of the top. Shoot it as much as you can. After a short time, it will go back into the big pillar. Start over again. Soon, after you deal enough damage to it, it will flash for a second, then the lasers will start up again. This time, though, they are closer to the ground, and that means closer to you. Just do as much damage to the white thing as you can, because that is the only way to hurt him. He'll take you a few tries, but he will go down soon enough. Not that tough. Remember, he leaves behind health sometimes when you shoot the blue things. Use a charged Beam attack to suck the health and ammo towards you. And also, if you are having trouble aiming, just aim at the white thing, and leave it aimed at that. Move closer to shoot the lower blue spots, and stand right next to it to get the lowest ones. +==============================+ | Bounty Hunter Fight: Spire | +==============================+ The fight will start out with spire at the top of the room. Aim up and try hit him with a charged shot followed by a bunch of regular shots. Once you do a certain amount of damage, he will leave the room. No, the fight isn't over, it has just begun. Go around shooting plants for health. When you are satisfied with the amount of health you have (or you ran out bushes to kill), go up the ramp without the crystal. At the top, you will find more bushes to destroy. When you are ready, go past the mushroom and through the door. Go through the next one too. Here is where it gets exciting! Go left and scan the Attameter Artifact. You can't get it until you beat Spire in the next round of fighting. Go right now. You will be trapped by a force field. Kill off the enemy, then kill the two blue force fields. If you watch them, you will see that they are creating enemies for you. The enemies won't stop coming until you destroy them. When you do, look up and start shooting at Spire through the roof. When you do enough damage, he will come down and attack you in person. Well, almost. He will be in his alt form. The only way to hurt him is to shoot at him with Missiles. I find it is easiest to shoot him as he comes towards you, then jump out of the way right as he is about to ram into you. When you do enough damage, he will run away. Scan the switch on the wall to make a key appear. Grab it, then go get the now unlocked Artifact. Go through the door. Go through the next door also. Shoot at spire whenever you can. Whenever. Use Missiles also. When you run out, use charged shots. Just keep at him. Not that hard. +=========================+ | Boss Fight: Slench v1 | +=========================+ This is a pretty easy fight. He will have three tentacles surrounding him. What you have to do is shoot each one with a charged shot. When you do, the tentacle will retract into it's body. Once all three tentacles have been dealt with, the body will detach from the wall. You have to shoot it in the center where the dot is. Get up close to it when shooting at the body, because it moves. The more damage it takes, the faster it will move. Closer is better, because it won't ram into you, it will just shoot at you. It is very easy. I beat it on my first try. +===============================+ | Bounty Hunter Fight: Weavel | +===============================+ Not exactly a good time to fight someone, huh? Well whatever. He will shoot at you while moving in a circular motion around the room. Rapidly fire while strafing sideways with him. Eventually, he will split into two pieces. One will stand in the center of the room while the other one runs around slashing at whatever it wants. Since the stationary piece is easy to shoot at, let out all your firepower on it. The other piece's movements are two erratic to waste time trying to deal with. He will eventually disappear. Follow him through the morph ball tunnel, but first destroy the boxes in this room. You might need the health. In here, he will be in one piece again. Keep shooting at him. Try for headshots, because it does more damage. Keep at him and eventually he will go down. +===============================+ | Bounty Hunter Fight: Sylux | +===============================+ Like almost everything else in this game, he is easy as hell. Start by rapidly firing at him. You can do this by holding the L button for short amounts of time. If you hold it too long, then it will charge. You can try to nail him with charged shots or a combination of the two, but that takes time, and as you can see, his weapon locks on and doesn't let go. He will be harming you nonstop for at least 75% of the battle. You don't have any time. Just concentrate on killing him as fast as you can. After awhile, he will go into his alt form. While he is in his alt form, he can't directly hurt you. Take this chance to go and get health by shooting at the crates. Don't forget that he can still drop bombs though. After you get the health, shoot at him. He will eventually come out of his alt form, though. Just keep at him. Eventually he will go into the room in the center of the battlefield. Walk around the hallways while looking for an entrance to the new room. Go in and let the battle continue! I find it helps when I jam my back against the corner of the room. Just keep shooting. Eventually his ship will arrive. Just ignore it, because it doesn't have anything to do with the battle. On second thought, go ahead and scan it. You won't have any other chance. After you beat him, he will run into his ship and take off. The third Artifact will be unlocked, also. Congrats! You beat one of the harder Bounty Hunters! +================+ | Cretaphid v2 | +================+ This will be very similar to the previous boss battle, except that it is easier. I expect you to beat this by your third attempt. What you need to do is to shoot all of the blue spots. It will have a newer, weaker attack. It will shoot green globs of ooze at you. The first one will push you up into the air. At the peak of this "jump," lay a bomb in midair. You will land, but immediately be pushed up into the air by the second bomb. As you are in the air, the third bomb will explode, pushing you up twice as high, and into the Missile Expansion. !!!More Coming Soon!!! +==============================================================================+ | 7) UA Expansions (Arranged by the area found in) ----------------------------| +==============================================================================+ +==========================+ | Vesper Defense Outpost | +==========================+ 1) Item Needed: Battle Hammer Room: Compression Chamber How to Get: Go to the room where Missile Expansion number two is located at. You have have to hit the little robot sliding around on the surface. Go through where the Force Field used to be and kill everything in this room. Start on the little turret shooting energy blasts at you, because it shoots the most and will limit your ability to take everything else out. Once that is gone, get the Generators so no more Psycho Bits are created. Lastly, take out the Psycho Bits. Go back to the morph ball maze. Go to the very bottom and go left. Bomb through both doors. At the end of the tunnel should be your UA Expansion. **** More Coming Soon ****
