Shadow the Hedgehog

Westopolis:

1.	(After the first checkpoint) Just before the dash panel that leads to the 
second checkpoint, look to your right and you will see a key on the other side of a 
gap.  Use triangle jump to get to the key.
2.	(After the second checkpoint)  After running along the first fallen crane, 
drop down and run up the second fallen crane.  Take the pulley at the top of the 
second fallen crane and the key will be right in front of you.
3.	(After the second checkpoint) Just before the third checkpoint, the road 
should lead downwards.  Off to the right, there will be two GUN beetles and two 
platforms.  The platform closest to the checkpoint has a key on it.  Use a series 
of homing attacks on the GUN beetles.  Once you destroy the second GUN beetle, use 
another homing attack in midair towards the wall.  Quickly run along the wall to 
make your way to the platform where the key is.  DO NOT LAND ON THE FIRST 
PLATFORM.  IT WILL BLOW UP.
4.	(At the third checkpoint) As soon as you touch the third checkpoint, turn 
to the left.  There will be a small room with bars in front of it.  Summersault 
under the bars to find three containers.  Break the container in the middle.  The 
key is inside.
5.	(After the fifth checkpoint) Run around the goal ring and use the dash 
panel.  You will be falling just like in the beginning of the stage.  The key is in 
midair, in the bottom-right corner of the screen while you are falling.
Secret Door.  (At the fourth checkpoint) As soon as you touch the fourth 
checkpoint, the secret door is off to the right.  Inside is a gun with 20 shots and 
an armored car.


  
Digital Circuit:

1.	(After the second checkpoint) Once you enter the second light-speed 
circuit, hold down the right (opposite of left) direction on the control stick.  
You will eventually run into the key (whether you see it or not).  Just keep 
holding down on the control stick in the right (opposite of left) direction.
2.	 (After the second checkpoint) After you exit the second light-speed 
circuit, you will see four GUN beetles.  The key is in plain sight, right on the 
ground that they are hovering over.
3.	(After the fourth checkpoint) Right after the fourth checkpoint, there will 
be a moving block.  Jump on it to get to the platform with the bars of light going 
upwards.  Be careful of the worm in the center.  Grab the bar on the far right and 
ride upwards.  Once you are on the bar, move to the right side of the bar if you’re 
camera angle is facing the center of the platform and you will eventually collide 
with the key.
4.	(After the fifth checkpoint) There will be a series of searchlights that 
you must travel through.  After going through the third searchlight in the series, 
don’t use homing attack on the GUN beetles in midair.  You will fall onto a 
platform with the key.
5.	(After the seventh checkpoint) Continue on the path after the seventh 
checkpoint until you reach a block, moving back and forth in front of a 
searchlight.  Ride the block as far as it goes, then jump into the searchlight.  As 
soon as you exit the searchlight, hold forward on the control stick and use a 
homing attack.  Try to land on the small green platform ahead.  If a row of green 
blocks appears in front of you, you are where you need to be.  If not, you are on a 
platform below the one you need to be on.  Walk along the path of green blocks.  
The key is at the end of the path.
Secret Door.  (At the fourth checkpoint) As soon as you touch the fourth 
checkpoint, the secret door will be off to the left.  Inside is a warp hole that 
will teleport you to a platform with two light-speed portals.  This allows you to 
skip part of the stage. 


Glyphic Canyon:

1.	(After the first checkpoint )  Right after the first checkpoint, there will 
be a large area containing enemies, pillars, a small, tunnel-like building with 
stairs leading upwards, and a dash panel at the other side of the small building.  
Stop before you proceed through the building and drop down to the right.  The key 
is behind the short, flat-topped pillar sticking out of the ground.
2.	(After the first checkpoint) Once you land after going through the dash 
panel, you must choose whether to go down (right) or to jump onto a ledge (left).  
Jump onto the ledge (left) and the key will be right in front of you.
3.	(After the third checkpoint) Right after the third checkpoint, you will see 
some stairs ahead.  Once you are about halfway up the stairs, turn to your left and 
you will see a stone sign with a bird-like symbol on it.  Smash the sign.  The key 
is just behind it.
4.	(After the sixth checkpoint) Right after the sixth checkpoint, there will 
be a triple-spring just ahead.  Once you get to the highest point of your bounce, 
turn towards the screen and use a homing attack.  You will land on top of a 
building with four torches and a key in the center.
5.	(At the eighth checkpoint) As soon as you touch the eighth checkpoint, drop 
down to the left.  You should land right next to the key.
Secret Door.  (After the fifth checkpoint) You will eventually come to a path that 
slopes downward.  Once you reach the bottom of the slope, the secret door will be 
right in front of you.  Inside is a black volt.  You can ride the black volt to 
take an alternate path with lots of items.  There are also a good amount of black 
hawks if you are doing the hero mission.


Lethal Highway:

1.	(After the first checkpoint) Run ahead of the black tank.  Once you come to 
a dash panel in front of a piece of the road that looks like a ramp, run into the 
dash panel before the black alien’s bomb blows up part of the road.  Keep on 
running along the road and the key will be on the right side of the road. 
2.	(After the second checkpoint) Right after the second checkpoint, you will 
enter a building with black aliens, GUN soldiers, and a wall with strange brown 
lumps on it.  The key is behind the wall with strange brown lumps.  To open it, you 
must use chaos blast right next to it.  To increase your red meter, you can defeat 
the GUN soldiers, destroy anything in the room that is destroyable, and you can use 
the heal capsules to heal GUN soldiers and defeat them again.  There should be 
enough in the room to fill your red meter.  If not, there is a yellow sign that 
regenerates whenever you go to the other side of the building and come back.  Keep 
destroying the yellow sign.
3.	(After the second checkpoint) After coming out of the building, there will 
be a fallen section of the road that you must jump onto.  Once you jump on, you 
will see another road that leads forward.  It has a couple of burning tires on it.  
Before you go on that road, turn around and you will see a road leading up to a 
burning car.  Smash the car.  The key is inside.
4.	(After the third checkpoint) Once you come to an area where the road is 
blown away and you are able to use a series of homing attacks to get across, do not 
use a series of homing attacks to get across.  Just drop down.  You will land on a 
chunk of road.  To put it simply, just go to the lowest level possible from here 
until you come to a red box.  Black aliens will start appearing next to the red 
box.  Just keep killing them until the box opens.  The key is inside.
5.	(After the fifth checkpoint) After coming off a rocket and grinding along 
alien slime, you will meet up with the black tank.  Instead of going in the 
direction of the black tank, go the opposite way along the road until you come to a 
burning car.  Smash the car.  The key is inside.
Secret Door.  (After the second checkpoint) Once you enter a second building like 
the one containing the first key, you will see the secret door on the right wall of 
the building.  Inside are two large guns with 40 shots each.   


Cryptic Castle:

1.	(After the first checkpoint) Once you jump off the balloon, grind to the 
top of the rail.  You will see a ledge that leads all the way around a building.  
Go around the building on the left side by walking along the ledge, and you will 
see the key once you are halfway around.
2.	 (After the fifth checkpoint) Once you see the third balloon, turn around 
and proceed down the hallway to a red box.  Kill the black alien right next to it 
and the box will open to reveal a key.  
3.	(After the fifth checkpoint) Once you light two lanterns in order to open a 
door, go through the door and turn right.  You will see a dresser.  Smash the 
dresser and the wall behind it.  The key is inside.
4.	 (After the sixth checkpoint) Light the giant lantern in the room with all 
the chaos.  A door will open to the left.  Proceed along that path and you will 
eventually come to a black hawk that you can ride.  While riding the black hawk, 
you will see there are horizontal pillars that go across the walls on both sides of 
you.  The key is under the eighth pillar (third-to-last), closer to the wall on 
your right.  
5.	(After the seventh checkpoint) Once you start being chased by the monster 
while you are on the rails, jump over to the rail on the left (facing the monster).
Secret Door. (After the fifth checkpoint) Once you come to a ball with a face on it 
(second one after the fifth checkpoint), hit it and hold forward on the control 
stick to reach the secret door.  Inside is a shortcut consisting of one of Eggman’s 
robots, a magnet barrier, a torch and two lanterns.  Use the torch to light the 
lanterns and lots of rings as well as a door will appear


Prison Island:

1.	(After the first checkpoint) When you come to the first spring panel, 
ignore it and keep going forward.  You will see a wooden box.  Smash it.  The key 
is inside.
2.	(After the second checkpoint) While you are on the air saucer, you will 
eventually come to a spring panel shaped like a ramp.  Use it to get launched into 
an area full of black creatures and a red box.  Defeat all of the black creatures 
to open the red box.  The key is inside.
3.	(After the third checkpoint) A little ways after you see the first giant 
worm, there will be a gap to your left.  Face the gap and you will see a wooden box 
in a small room.  You must jump as high as you can and use homing attack to reach 
the box.  Smash the box.  The key is inside.
4.	(After the fourth checkpoint) While you are riding the air saucer, look to 
your right.  You will eventually see a platform with lots of GUN robots and jail 
cells.  In the furthest corner, you will see a metal board.  Lift it up to reveal a 
key underneath it.
5.	(After the sixth checkpoint) While you are on the air saucer, you will 
eventually come to a fork that is divided by a large piece of metal.  Go to the 
right and you will be on a rail.  At the end of the rail, you will see the key in 
midair.  Double-jump forward to grab it.
Secret Door.  (After the third checkpoint) Proceed along the path until you come to 
a spring panel.  Behind it is the key door.   Inside are two guns with 4 shots 
each.  They are about 4 times as large as Shadow, extremely powerful, and have a 
huge explosion radius.


Circus Park:

1.	(After the second checkpoint) As soon as you touch the second checkpoint, 
the path splits into two directions.  If you smash the Shadow Box right in front of 
you, you will see a bounce-ball.  Use homing attack to hit the ball and get bounced 
up to the key.
2.	(After the second checkpoint) As soon as you see a row of rings that take 
you through a ring of fire, do not use light-dash.  Instead, just drop down and you 
will land on or near an Eggman box.  Smash it.  The key is inside
3.	(After the fifth checkpoint) Right after the fifth checkpoint, you will 
grind on a rope.  At the end of the rope, do not jump.  You will land on a platform 
with two GUN beetles and a key strait ahead.
4.	(After the fifth checkpoint) Once you come to a turret, there will be a 
triangle-jump area just ahead.  Instead of using triangle-jump, just drop down and 
look behind you.  You will see a series of barrels and the key on the last one.
5.	(After the sixth checkpoint) Once you start riding the coaster ride, just 
hold left on the control stick.  You will eventually collide with the key.  
Secret Door.  (After the fourth checkpoint) Soon after the checkpoint, you will 
come to a place where you can use triangle-jump.  Use triangle-jump and the secret 
door will be right in front of you.  Inside is another shooting gallery.  This one 
has only yellow balloons and are so close, you can use homing attack to break them.
 

Central City:

1.	(After the first checkpoint) Continue along the path until you come to a 
triangle-jump area.  Instead, wait for a helicopter to show up nearby, and grab 
onto it.  It will take you upwards.  Then jump onto the roof with two black 
creatures and a red box.  Destroy the two black creatures and the box will open.  
The key is inside.
2.	(At the third checkpoint) As soon as you touch the third checkpoint, turn 
left.  You will see a wall of strange brown lumps.  Use Chaos Blast to destroy 
them.  The key is just behind them.
3.	(After the fourth checkpoint) Use the turret that is right in front of you 
to destroy the nearby enemies.  Once you do, the red box that is also nearby will 
open to reveal a spring.  Use it to get bounced onto a platform.  DO NOT MAKE THE 
SMALL BOMB EXPLODE.  You will see a similar platform on the other side of the 
street with the key.  You can reach it if you jump as high as you can from the 
nearest point on the platform and use homing attack.  
4.	(After the fourth checkpoint if you took the right path.  If not, just 
wander around until you come to a giant bomb in a cage) Destroy the two GUN robots 
around the giant bomb in a cage (If there are more than two, you are at the wrong 
giant bomb).  Face the bomb, then slowly turn right until you see a key in an open 
cage.
5.	(After the sixth checkpoint) Right after the sixth checkpoint, keep your 
eyes on the left wall until you see sparkling.  Use a nearby explosive to blow up 
that section of the wall.  The key is just behind the wall.
Secret Door.  (After the third checkpoint) Continue along the path until you exit 
the tunnel.  The secret door is just across the street full of acid.  Inside is an 
air saucer.  


The Doom: 

1.	(Before the first checkpoint) Once you enter the very second room, ride the 
elevator and jump onto the platform.  When the elevator goes down, jump on to of 
it.  Ride the elevator up until it reaches its highest point.  You will see a key 
in midair that is right in front of you.  Jump forward to get it. 
2.	(After the first checkpoint) Keep going until you reach a room with a metal 
board in front of a GUN robot.  Run up the slanted floor a little ways, then stop.  
Charge up a spin dash, then let it go. While holding forward on the control stick 
the whole time, you must jump in the right area on the slanted floor while still 
spin dash-ing.  If you do this right, the speed of the spin dash will lift you up 
and you will be able to land on the platform with the key.  If you do this wrong, 
you will probably jump and bang your head under the platform with the key, or just 
not get high enough.  
3.	(After the first checkpoint) Keep going until you come to a bomb server.  
Pick one up, and immediately turn right.  Blow up the cracked wall.  The key is 
inside.
4.	(After the second checkpoint) The room that immediately follows the room 
with the second checkpoint with split two ways.  Go to the left.  You will see two 
GUN soldiers, a heal unit, a pulley, and two boxes.  Jump onto the box that is 
closer to the pulley.  Jump from the box onto the pulley.  The pulley will take you 
to a platform with a 1up.  Touch it, then turn to the right.  You will see the key 
on top of a fan.  Use homing attack to reach it.
5.	(After the third checkpoint) Keep going until you come to a room where GUN 
soldier break through a wall on your right.  You will also see a heal unit in front 
of you.  There will also be some boxes in the corner.  Use the boxes to reach a 
platform above.  If you turn, you will see 9 boxes up against the wall.  Smash 
these to reveal a small room.  The key is inside.
Secret Door.  (After the first checkpoint) Keep going until four GUN soldiers come 
out of two walls.  There is a pulley nearby.  Take it to get to a platform with the 
secret door.  Inside is a switch.  Activate it.  When you get into the large room 
with the third checkpoint, at the bottom level, there will be an open cage with a 
single ring.  Jump into the open cage and a nearby platform will start to move.  
Jump on it to take a huge shortcut to the end of the level.


Sky Troops:

1.	(After the second checkpoint) As soon as you see the path slope upwards to 
face the pillars rolling downwards, turn to the left.  You will see the key on top 
of a plant.
2.	(After the third checkpoint) As soon as you land in an area where you can 
shoot down one of Eggman’s battleships, go to the top of the first stairs and turn 
left.  You will see the key in front of a short pillar with a face on it.
3.	(After the fourth checkpoint) Right after the fourth checkpoint, the path 
will split two ways.  You can jump onto the platform on the left and run through a 
loop, or you can run down to the right.  Go to the right.  When the path levels 
out, look on the right side of the path.  The key is on the first small platform 
sticking out.
4.	(After the fourth checkpoint) You will eventually come to a switch.  
Activate it and use light dash on the trail of rings that appear.  You will land on 
a platform with a turret.  The key is just right of the turret.
5.	(After the sixth checkpoint) While riding the black hawk, you will 
eventually enter a tunnel.  At some point before you exit the tunnel, you must jump 
off.  Go to the edge of the tunnel (the edge that is further along the path) and 
walk off.  MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN THE CENTER OF THE TUNNEL.  You will land on a 
platform with the key.
Secret Door.  (After the sixth checkpoint) Right after the sixth checkpoint, run 
completely strait and you will see the secret door.  Inside is a Black Volt.  The 
path taken by the Black Volt is shorter and full of item balloons.  The Black Volt 
has its own unlimited supply of lock-on missiles.  Also the Black Volt takes you 
the eighth checkpoint instead of the seventh.  That means you can use those lock-on 
missiles to destroy the fifth power source.  It’s even possible to shoot down 
Eggman’s fifth battleship.


Mad Matrix:  

1.	(After the first checkpoint) Once you exit the first terminal, you will 
have a choice to enter one of three light-speed circuits.  Take the one on the 
right.  Once you enter, hold left until you turn left, then hold right until you 
turn right.  You will land on a blue platform with a worm in the middle.  On the 
other side of the platform, you will see four blocks moving in a circle as well as 
another platform just beyond.  Ride a block to the platform.  The key is in the 
center.
2.	(After the third checkpoint) When you are in the yellow tower, you will 
eventually come to a point where 16 color squares ring around a pillar.  After you 
change all the squares to one color, you must stand on the square that is six 
squares away from the square you started on.  You will eventually collide with the 
key.
3.	(After the fifth checkpoint) You will eventually come to a moving color 
panel that will take you to two other color panels.  There will be a green square 
and a red square just above it.  The key is behind the green square.  Move 
quickly.  It’s okay to die.
4.	(After the sixth checkpoint) Once you come to the first set of color panels 
inside the red tower, look strait ahead.  You will see the key in midair as well as 
two platforms next to it with Eggman’s robots.  Destroy the two robots and a block 
will start moving towards the key.  Jump on it to get the key.
5.	(After the sixth checkpoint) Once you come to the area with the goal ring, 
float past the goal ring and keep heading strait.  You will come to a block that 
has the key.
Secret Door.  It is on a large, green and yellow platform in the center of all the 
light-speed circuits.  To get there from the:
Blue Tower- center circuit, right, platform, right circuit, left, left, right, 
right, right
Yellow Tower- left circuit, right, right, left, left, skip one left and go strait, 
left, right
Green Tower- left circuit, right, right, left, right, left, skip one right and go 
strait, right, left
Red Tower- left circuit, right, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, 
right, right   
 Inside is a shortcut to the red tower, the tower with the goal ring.  


Death Ruins:

1.	(After the first checkpoint) You will come to a pulley and then bounce off 
a spring.  The spring will shoot you into a rubber-like plant.  When it stretches 
back, jump, and you will land on a platform with the key.
2.	(After the third checkpoint) You will be grinding on a rail of slime.  Look 
to your right and jump off onto the second platform.  It has three GUN soldiers and 
a shield.  Below the further corner of this platform is a pole.  Climb down the 
pole to another platform with a spring that will take you to another rail.  Look 
down and you will see square, gray platforms that go all the way around the 
pillar.  Jump and try to land on the sparkling platform.  It has the key.
3.	(After the fifth checkpoint) You will eventually see the entrance to a 
place where you can use dark spin dash.  Just to the right of the entrance is a 
breakable wall.  Break it.  The key is behind it.
4.	(After the sixth checkpoint)  You will eventually see the entrance to a 
place where you can use dark spin dash.  Use dark spin dash.  You will end up in a 
place where you can use triangle jump.  However, you must jump onto the box nearby 
and start your triangle jump from there.  This will allow you to be high enough 
when you come to the key that is next to the wall on the left.
5.	(After the sixth checkpoint) After climbing down a pole, you will enter an 
area filled with black creatures.  The will be a large platform in the middle.  Go 
around it on either side and break the breakable wall.  Look around the corner to 
see the key on a platform behind a small waterfall.
Secret Door.  (After the fourth checkpoint, however, I will start from the third 
checkpoint) When you are grinding, as soon as you see a second group of GUN 
beetles, jump off to the right.  You should land on a platform with a dash ramp.  
It will take you to the fourth checkpoint.  The secret door is right in front of 
the fourth checkpoint.  Inside is a large area with many rails.  At the end of the 
path is a warp hole that will take you to the entrance to the secret door.  If you 
navigate the rails correctly, use well timed homing-attacks, and come back at least 
once, it is possible to collect a total of 166 rings, two 1ups, and a barrier.


The Ark:

1.	(Before the first checkpoint) As soon as you start the level, turn around.  
The key is at the beginning of the tunnel.
2.	(After the third checkpoint) After riding the Black Volt, you will land in 
an area made up of five platforms.  The top platform has the fourth checkpoint and 
a defense turret.  The next two platforms going down have defense turrets.  The 
fourth one has two rows of rings.  The bottom one has a shadow box.  Go to the 
forth platform, the one with the rings.  Follow the rings until you see the key.
3.	(After the fourth checkpoint) While riding the Black Volt, you will 
eventually enter a tunnel with a healing item box.  When you exit the tunnel, watch 
the bottom of the screen and look for a platform against the wall strait ahead.  
Keep going strait.  Do not turn.  When you get as close as you can to the wall, 
jump off.  You will land on a platform with the key.
4.	(After the fifth checkpoint) While riding the Black Volt, watch the bottom 
of the screen.  Once you see a tunnel and possibly a sparkle, jump on top of 
tunnel.  The key is on the end of the tunnel that is not further along the path.
5.	(After the eighth checkpoint) Run around the goal ring.  The key is at the 
end of the tunnel.
Secret Door.  (After the sixth checkpoint) You will be riding a Black Volt.  After 
going through an area filled with defense turrets, you will see a platform below 
you.  Jump onto it.  The secret door is there.  Inside are three lives.


Air Fleet:

1.	(Before the first checkpoint) Use triangle jump at the first triangle 
area.  Avoid the lasers and you will end up in a small room with key.
2.	(After the first checkpoint) When you come to a fork in the path, go to the 
right.  After you exit the room with the lasers, stay on the left side of the 
path.  You will come to a large, rectangular GUN box with a smaller GUN box on top 
of it.  Smash the small GUN box.  The key is inside.
3.	(After the third checkpoint) You will eventually come to a large, circular 
room.  Look for an area where you can use dark spin dash.  You will exit the alien 
slime on the second floor of the room.  Just keep moving along the path on the 
second floor and you will come to the key in between two roadblocks.
4.	(After the fourth checkpoint) Once you come to another fork in the road, 
take the path on the right.  Keep going until you reach a gun turret.  There are 
two large GUN boxes to the left of the turret.  Smash them. The key is inside.
5.	(After the seventh checkpoint) You will eventually come to another large, 
circular room.  Look for an area where you can use dark spin dash.  You will exit 
the alien slime on the second floor of the room.  Just keep moving along the path 
on the second floor and you will come to the key in between two large, rectangular 
GUN boxes.
Secret Door.  (Before the first checkpoint) As soon as you came to a pulley, ride 
it about halfway up, then jump off.  You will land in front of the secret door.  
Inside is an air saucer.  This can be used to ride various electric rails 
throughout the level.


Iron Jungle:

1.	(After the third checkpoint) Shortly after the third checkpoint, you will 
see a gap and a GUN beetle on the left side of the path.  Use homing attack on the 
GUN beetle, then use homing attack again to land in the small room behind it.  
Smash the two containers in the room.  The key is inside.
2.	(After the fourth checkpoint) You will drop into a room with shadow 
androids.  Turn around and walk strait.  You will walk into a small room with the 
key.
3.	(After the sixth checkpoint) You will immediately end up in another room 
with shadow androids.  Turn around.  The key is behind two containers.
4.	(After the seventh checkpoint) You will immediately end up in a room with a 
Bigfoot GUN mech.  Behind it is a spring in a cage.  Stand next to the cage and 
turn the camera.  You will see the key on a small platform.
5.	(After the eighth checkpoint) There are three barrels to the left of the 
goal ring.  The key is behind the barrels.
Secret Door.  (After the second checkpoint) You will land in a room with Eggman 
robots.  Turn around to see the secret door.  Inside are 3 guns with 4 shots each. 
They are extremely powerful and have a huge explosion radius.  Helpful in taking 
down Eggman’s balloon.
