BOOM! DLC for Dead Space 2 announced on the same day as the game is released. You know, for all those people that finish the game on the first day and have to look forward to something more from their new game. Titled “Severed”, it just adds two more chapters to the single player story line. They’re stand-alone, but they probably add some interesting tid-bits to the background and story – including some characters (NPCs) from Dead Space 1.
They haven’t announced the official release date, but you can read more about it (albeit not too much detail) at EA’s press release site.
